Trying to respond to an awful local op-ed that basically says "3/4 of Israel is Jews of every age and gender and ethnicity," and the implication is that the other 1/4 of Israel is 26-year-old Palestinian men named Ahmed whose ethnicity is armed struggle

I know international law is a dirty word in this country, but a reminder that people seeking asylum are often fleeing (personal, political, sexual) violence & are entitled to claim that right at any port of entry, regardless of the means they used to get there.
