My daughter is 24 and is already assigned most of her company's writing assignments; proposals, synopses, project accomplishments. Other employees used AI... and after reading the results her boss requested that she specifically handle as much writing for the firm as possible.

Latest read, Duende (2007) by Tracy K. Smith; poems of empathy, memory, & injustice. Each volume of Smith's work also has the unexpected, such as Flores Woman (the Flores, barely over 3' tall, lived on an isolated island 18,000 yrs ago). It has wonder, contentment, & longing:

Latest read, The Silmarillion (1977, posthumous) by JRR Tolkien; I'm old enough that I read LOTR before the Silmarillion was released--and I didn't know what to make of it. I've read parts of it, always curious, always frustrated. But Andy Serkis really brings it to life. (cont)
