Abstract

2045693 9108652 PCTABS00005 A satellite based simulcast paging communication system comprises a plurality of terrestrial stations (118) capable of simulcasting the paging information with at least one satellite (102) for reception by one or more of a plurality of terrestrial receivers (900) (pagers). Also included is at least one control station (110) for determining where and how to deliver the paging information to achieve simulcast transmission.
