Abstract

The present invention describes the use of polysaccharide derivatives for the preparation of biocompatible and biodegradable biomaterials with absorbent properties for body fluids and physical haemostatic activity, to be used in both venous and arterial vascular anastomoses and to prevent the formation of post-surgical adherence of the vessels with the surrounding tissues scar formation.
