Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及网络缆线管理。
背景技术
通信网络在数量和复杂性方面逐渐发展。监测网络连接,包括接线板连接的管理,是网络管理中的一项重要任务。期望接线板管理体系结构是可靠且可扩展的。
发明内容
根据本发明的一个实施例,接插线管理系统支持具有交叉连接构造的通信网络中的接插线管理。
本发明提供用于实时监测并报告缆线连通性,如,智能接线板端口级连通性,的方法和装置。以智能接线板系统为例,该方案基于模块化可扩展分布式体系结构,避免了连续扫描第九线连接的监测系统,并且避免接线板和监测系统之间复杂的接线。每块智能接线板与其它智能接线板相同。一旦添加、拆除或改变智能接线板之间的连接,可以即时确定连通性信息并借助以太网链接通信至网络管理系统(NMS)。通过支持端口级的端口连通性的实时监测可以消除轮询延迟和轮询有关的开销(polling-related overhead)。该方案由多用途NMS控制。
本发明的实施例包括网络连接文档编制系统,该网络连接文档编制系统在第一接插线安装在智能接线板的一个端口内时开始文档编制过程,并且将接线现场的任何变化实时通知NMS。

具体实施方式
本发明涉及用于监测、文档编制并引导通信网络的接线区域内的接插线变化的方法和系统。
图1是七个示意性的模块化智能接线板202(a-g)的示意图。每块智能接线板202基于一模块化、可扩展的分布式体系结构。每块接线板202可包括一对网络连接端口220,该对网络连接端口通过菊花链网络缆线208(例如,端接在传统的RJ-45终端匹配器上的4对网络缆线的较短跨度)使相应的接线板以菊花链式构造互连到网络连接210上。网络连接210可以为菊花链中的每块接线板提供网络连通性,并且可由此为菊花链中的每块接线板提供与远程网络管理系统(NMS)的连通性。此外,每块接线板202可以包括一对功率分享端口218,该对功率分享端口通过菊花链电源缆线216(例如,连接有适当连接器的DC或AC电力缆线连接的较短跨度)使接线板以菊花链式构造互连到单个电源222。
图2是一示意图,描述了贴有标签“接线板X”的智能接线板302(a)与贴有标签“接线板Z”的智能接线板302(b)之间的不同频道信号传输讯息的交换。本发明接线板的端口可以在彼此之间进行连接信息通信。例如,如图2所示,与板X关联的接线板端口304(a)可以生成输出讯息“接线板X/端口21”,以表示接线板端口304(a)是接线板X上的第21个端口。如图3所示,与板Z关联的端口304(b)可以生成输出讯息“接线板Z/端口17”,以表示接线板端口304(b)是接线板Z上的第17个端口。如下文进一步的解释,对讯息协调以将接插线连接的任何变化告知NMS。
本发明的每块接线板设有若干触点,这些触点可使本发明的智能接线板识别接插线插头已经插入到智能接线板的端口。图3-17示出了可以在本发明的某些实施例中使用的接线板触点和九线接插线。此外,每个接线板端口设有指示灯,使智能接线板引导连接在接线板之间的接插线的每个添加或拆除步骤。这些指示灯例如可以是双色红绿LED。图7示出了容纳指示灯的一例光通道开口。使用诸如图示并如下所述的(结合图3-17)的那些触点能够使智能接线板引导添加和拆除过程、即时识别插头的插入和拆除以及通过智能接线板将插头的插入和拆除立即通信至NMS。
现在结合图2叙述接插线的添加。在本发明的添加和拆除过程中,与接线板端口关联的LED使用如下:
开启:增加一个插头
闪烁:拆除一个插头
绿色:正常运行
红色:发生错误
在图示的接插线安装过程中,九线接插线312被连接在图2所示的第一智能接线板302(a)的第二十一个端口304(a)与第二智能接线板302(b)的第十七个端口304(b)之间。系统命令安装并且使与两个端口304(a)和304(b)关联的指定端口LED持续为绿色。然后,可将插头314(a)或314(b)安装入其对应的端口。例如,接插线312一端上的插头314(a)安装入端口304(a)。如果插头314(a)插入用于接插线安装的指定端口之一(例如,端口304(a)),与该端口关联的LED熄灭并通知NMS(例如,借助图1所示的接线板与NMS之间的连接)。如果插头插入错误的端口,与错误端口关联的LED以红光闪烁,直至该插头被拆除。接下来再以相同的过程安装接插线的另一插头。
当两个插头被连接好时,安装第一插头的插座将其识别信息通过接插线312的第九线传输到安装第二接插线插头的插座。该通讯最好在九线接插线312的第九线上借助不同频道信号传输通信完成。安装第二接插线的智能接线板然后将两个已连接端口的识别信息传输到NMS。
当系统命令拆除接插线时,拆除与将要拆除的接插线每一端上的指定端口关联的LED均以绿光闪烁,接插线拆除过程开始。一端上的插头被拆除,如果它是指定端口之一的话,与插头被拆除的该端口关联的LED熄灭并将插头的拆除通知NMS。
如果插头从错误的端口拆除,与该错误端口关联的LED持续为红色,以指示该插头要被更换。在更换插头时,与上述情况相似,进行识别传输以确保安装正确的插头。
在拆除接插线的第二端处的插头时,接着进行类似的过程。
如果接插线现场发生任何尚未命令的变化,与该问题关联的一个或多个插座的红色LED将会持续点亮或以红光闪烁。NMS将会被通知,并且任何进行中的安装或拆除过程将会被中断直至该问题得以纠正。
图3-5示出了可以在本发明的一些实施例中使用的触点组件。如图3所示,第九线板触点420和421(各自具有以“a”和“b”指定的相应触点部分)设置在板430和431上。与连通性检测器460和461及收发器400和401相结合,板触点使智能接线板检测九线接插线410的第九线接插线触点415或416的插入,并且使必要的信息智能接线板之间如上所述地通信。图4-6示出了安装在板530上的触点组件520的一个实施例,该触点组件520具有三个触点部分520a、520b和520c。九线接插线510的第九线触点515插在这些触点之间,因而形成了一个回路并且实现上述的特点。第九线触点515可以设有一孔或凹部517,部分520a、520b和520c的重叠段可以位于该孔或凹部内。这些实施例还图示并叙述在提交于2005年8月8日、题为“用于检测接插线端部连接的系统和方法”的美国临时专利申请号No.60/706,029中,其全文被援引在此作为参考。
图7-17示出了可以使用在本发明中的触点的另一实施例。图7-17的实施例包括被定位以接触九线接插线的第九线触点的触点区域600。触点区域600容纳上触点602和下触点604,每个触点被插入并电接触图8所示的印刷电路板(PCB)。图8示出了PCB的一部分606。如图7所示,组件可以设置在智能接线板盖610内,该智能接线板盖在每个端口位置处设有光通道开口612。如图10所示,由于使用上弹簧圈612和下弹簧圈614,可以保持适当的张力以确保上、下触点602、604、与一插头上的触点之间的法向接触力。
在图7-20所示的实施例中,与其它实施例一样,插头上的触点(例如刀片式触点)在上触点602与下触点604之间形成回路,其可以直接检测插头的插入。连通性检测器线路可以设置在PCB 606上。
图18是一个实施例的智能接线板的一部分的局部分解图,具有安装于其中的上触点702和下触点704。触点702、704安装并电连接于PCB 706,该PCB设置在面板707上,图中示出了面板(其可以是冲轧的金属板)的一部分709。板盖711设有光通道开口701,而板触点护罩(shroud)713安装在板的正面上。如图所示,插座715在板的部分709内。图中示出了具有接插刀片式触点719的插头717。
图7-20所示类型的触点提供了自对准触点接口区域,它可以左右移动以使板触点对准插头触点。触点的几何形状和安装位置有利于这种对准方式。触点最好由预先电镀的圆形线制成以减少或避免表皮剥落,并避免使用冲轧模具,提供了良好的屈服强度,并且可以低成本地制造触点。可以改变上、下弹簧圈612的圈尺寸(例如,圈的长度和半径),以便在不改变触点的总体设计的情况下调整触点的法向力。
可以将本发明的原理应用于其它特定系统。例如,可以将本发明的其它实施例的接插线设置成使用在光学通信网络或其它不使用RJ-45插头和插座的电通信网络中。
虽然已经结合一个或多个特定实施例叙述了本发明,本技术领域的普通技术人员应当理解的是,在不背离本发明的精神和范围的情况下还可以作出许多改变。这些实施例中的每一个及其显而易见的变型应当被认为落在如权利要求书所要求的本发明的精神和范围内。
Claims (13)
1.一种用于在网络中文档编制并引导接插线连接的系统,包括:
多个模块化接线板,每个所述模块化接线板具有多个接线板端口,每个所述接线板端口设有一对相关的第九线触点,每个所述触点对包括上触点和下触点,所述上触点和所述下触点布置成在刀片式触点位于上触点与下触点之间时使所述上触点与所述下触点之间形成回路,所述上触点具有适于提供足够法向力的弹簧圈以促进所述上触点与所述下触点之间的电连接。
2.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,所述下触点具有适于提供足够法向力的弹簧圈以促进所述下触点与所述刀片式触点之间的电连接。
3.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,所述上触点和所述下触点安装并电连接到印刷电路板,所述印刷电路板设置在所述模块化接线板的面板上。
4.如权利要求3所述的系统,其特征在于,还包括具有光通道开口的板盖,所述光通道开口适于使安装者观察指示器灯光。
5.如权利要求3所述的系统,其特征在于,还包括具有板触点护罩的板盖。
6.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,每个所述接线板端口适于即时检测接插线插头插入接线板端口的情况,并且每个所述模块化接线板适于将接插线插头插入有关的信息立即通信至网络管理系统。
7.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,每个所述模块化接线板具有一对网络连接端口,每个所述网络连接端口适于允许模块化接线板之间连接,以使模块化接线板之间通信。
8.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,每个所述模块化接线板具有一对网络连接端口,每个所述网络连接端口适于使模块化接线板与网络管理系统之间连接。
9.如权利要求7所述的系统,其特征在于,每个所述网络连接端口进一步适于使模块化接线板与网络管理系统之间连接并通信。
10.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,还包括至少一个在每个所述接线板端口附近的指示器,所述至少一个指示器适于将接插线插头正确或错误地插入所述接线板端口的情况立即告知安装者。
11.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,还包括至少一个在每个所述接线板端口附近的指示器,所述至少一个指示器适于将接插线插头从所述接线板端口正确或错误拆除的情况立即告知安装者。
12.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,每个所述接线板端口借助与接插线插头的不同频道信息传输连接检测接插线插头的插入或拆除。
13.一种用于在网络中的文档编制接插线连接的系统,其中,每个所述接插线连接由九线接插线制成,所述系统包括:
多个模块化接线板,每个所述模块化接线板具有多个接线板端口,每个所述接线板端口设有一对第九线触点,每个所述第九线触点对适于在第九线接插线的第九线上借助不同频道信号传输通信,所述不同频道信号传输通信包括用于相应接线板端口的识别信息;
其中,每个所述接线板端口适于即时检测接插线插头插入接线板端口的情况,并且每个所述模块化接线板适于将接插线插头插入有关的信息立即通信至网络管理系统。
