本发明涉及流体填充结构。本发明尤其涉及包封了加压流体且适合于各种商品(包括鞋类物品)的囊。 
背景技术的描述 
流体填充结构(诸如囊)被用于多种商品中。例如,流体填充结构可以用作包装材料,以赋予背包或高尔夫球包的带子舒适性,或者以增强座椅垫的舒适性。流体填充结构已经获得特别认可的一种用途是鞋类。 
传统的运动鞋类物品包括鞋面和鞋底结构两个主要组成部分。鞋面提供对足部的覆盖物,其相对于鞋底结构妥善地容纳足部和定位足部。此外,鞋面可以具有保护足部和提供透气由此使足部凉爽并排出汗液的结构。鞋底结构固定到鞋面的下表面且通常设置在足部和地面之间。除了减弱地面的反作用力外,鞋底结构可以提供附着摩擦力并控制足部运动,如过度内旋。因此,鞋面和鞋底结构配合操作以提供舒适的结构,其适用于广泛的多种需移动的运动,如步行和跑步。 
运动鞋类的鞋底结构通常呈层状结构,其包括增加舒适性的鞋内底、由聚合物泡沫材料形成的弹性鞋底夹层以及提供耐磨损和附着摩擦力的接触地面的鞋外底。用于鞋底夹层的合适的聚合物泡沫材料包括乙烯醋酸乙烯酯共聚物(ethylvinylacetate)或聚氨酯,其在所施加的载荷下弹性压缩以减弱地面的反作用力。传统的聚合物泡沫材料是可回弹压缩的,部分归因于包含多个敞开的或封闭的小室,其界定基本上由气体代替的内部容积。即,聚合物泡沫材料包括封有气体的多个气泡。经过重复的压缩后,小室结构会劣化,从而导致泡沫的可压缩性降低。因此,在鞋的使用期限 内聚合物泡沫鞋底夹层的力衰减特性可能会降低。 
减少聚合物泡沫鞋底夹层的重量和降低重复压缩后劣化的影响的一种方法公开于Rudy的美国专利US4,183,156,在此引入作为参考,其中由弹性材料制成的流体填充囊提供力衰减。此囊包括多个管形室,沿鞋底结构的长度纵向延伸。该室相互之间流体连通,共同延伸横跨鞋的宽度。囊可以包封在聚合物泡沫材料内,如所公开的Rudy的美国专利US4,219,945,在此引入作为参考。囊与包封聚合物泡沫材料的组合用作鞋底夹层。因此,鞋面连接到聚合物泡沫材料的上表面且鞋外底或鞋底构件固定到下表面。 
以上所描述的这种囊通常由一种弹性材料制成,结构为具有一个上部部分或下部部分,其内包围了一个或更多室。通过将连接到流体压力源的喷嘴或针状物插入形成于囊内的填充入口(fill inlet)中来以超过环境压力的压力加压室。在室被加压后,密封填充入口并移去喷嘴。 
适合用于鞋类用途的流体填充囊可以通过双膜技术制造,其中形成两个分离的弹性膜薄片以提供囊的整体外围形状。然后把薄片沿着它们各自的周边结合在一起,以形成密封结构,以及所述薄片还在预定的内部区域处被结合在一起,以赋予囊所期望的构型。也就是说,该内部结合为囊提供具有预定形状和尺寸的室。在类似的热成形技术中,两个分离的弹性膜薄片用模具成形,以提供所期望的构型。适合用于鞋类用途的流体填充囊也可以由吹塑成型技术制造,其中熔化的或以其他方式软化的管形弹性材料置于模具中,该模具具有所期望的囊的整体形状和构型。该模具在一个位置处设有开口,通过该开口提供加压空气。加压空气使液化的弹性材料与模具内表面的形状一致。然后,冷却弹性材料,从而制造出具有期望形状和构型的囊。 
发明内容
本发明的一方面是具有在外周处连接以限定各个边的第一表面和相对的第二表面的囊。所述囊在第一表面和第二表面之间包封加压流体。在一些实施方案中,囊具有六边形构型且六边形边的一部分是凹状。在其他 的实施方案中,边既呈现凹状构型又呈现凸状构型。 
囊可以结合到具有鞋面和鞋底结构的鞋类物品中。例如,囊可以包封在鞋底结构的聚合物泡沫材料内,或囊可以位于由聚合物泡沫材料形成的空腔内。可选择地,囊还可以位于鞋面内。

具体实施方式
以下描述和附图公开了结合流体填充囊的运动型鞋类物品。公开了具有适合跑步的构型的鞋类。然而本发明的各方面并不只限于为跑步而设计的鞋类,本发明还可以适用于许多运动型鞋类,比如包括篮球鞋、多用途训练鞋(cross-training shoes)、步行鞋、网球鞋、足球鞋和远足靴。另外,本发明的各方面还可以适用于通常所认为的非运动型鞋类物品,包括礼服鞋(dress shoes)、路夫鞋、凉鞋和工作鞋。尽管公开了囊与鞋类的结合,但是囊还可以用于多种其他产品中,或囊还可以单独使用(例如,作为包装材料)。因此,本领域的技术人员能认识到此处所公开的概念还适用于很多种鞋类或产品。

囊40是包封了加压流体的密封部件,如图3-6C所描述的。形成囊40的材料将在下文更详细地描述,形成囊40的材料对流体基本上不可渗透且形成了第一表面41和相对的第二表面42。第一表面41和第二表面42围绕它们各自的周边结合在一起以形成外围结合部43,并配合形成密封室,加压流体位于其中。如图中所描述的,外围结合部43位于第一表面41和第二表面42之间的中心,但是其也可以处于非中心的位置。因此,外围结合部43的具体位置可以改变。

如上面所提到的,边56具有向内圆形的形状,而边52和54中的每一个也形成了凹陷部分57。充注区域45有效地形成在与凹陷部分57的位置相对应的位置。因此,邻近边52、54和56中的每一个的囊40的部分结合在相似的位置。在囊40的中心部分没有内部连接形成了一种结构,其中囊40的中心部分比邻近外围结合部43的区域呈现更大的厚度,如图6A-6C所描述的。因此,囊40朝着外围结合部43逐渐变薄。凹陷部分57和充注区域45被形成以便限制囊40的中心部分向外充注的程度。也就是说,凹陷部分57和充注区域45被形成以限制囊40的中心部分的总厚度。

囊40内的流体可以是Rudy的US4,340,626的美国专利公开的任何气体,如六氟乙烷和六氟化硫,该专利在此引入作为参考。流体还可以包括气体,诸如加压的八氟丙烷(otcafluorapropane)、氮气和空气。除了气体之外,各种凝胶体或液体可以密封在囊40内。因此,多种流体适合于囊40。就压力而言,合适的压力是每平方英寸20磅,但是也可以在每平方英寸1磅到35磅之间变化。因此,囊40内的流体压力可以相对较高,或在本发明的一些实施方案中,流体压力可以稍微高于周围的环境压力。 
囊40可以具有棋盘形布置的构型。如在此使用的,术语“棋盘形布置”定义为区域覆盖,没有显著的空隙或重叠,多个部件具有基本上相似的形状。此外,当多个相似形状的部件覆盖区域而没有显著的空隙或重叠时,单个部件(即,囊40)可以具有棋盘形布置的构型。当参照图4和5中的任一个时,囊40具有一般的棋盘形布置的构型。参考图7,描述了多个囊40的连接构型。通常,一个囊40的凸状边(即,边51、53、和55)延伸入邻近的囊40的凹状边(即,边52、54、和56),且这样重复用于多个囊40。此外,一个囊40的突出部(tab)46延伸入邻近的囊40的凹陷部分57。因此,如图7所描述的,囊40具有棋盘形布置的构型。 
无论六边形、矩形、正方形还是三角形的各种形状都具有棋盘形布置的构型。其他非规则形状也可以具有棋盘形布置的构型。尽管以上囊40描述为具有一般的六边形构型,但是囊40还可以具有也呈棋盘形布置的构型的其他形状。然而,在本发明的一些方面,囊40可以具有不是棋盘形布置的形状。 
形成棋盘形布置构型的囊40的优点涉及生产效率。参考图7,描述了多个囊40的连接构型,其中每个囊40邻近另一个囊40。在这种构型中,形成囊40的材料浪费是最小的。在一些已有技术的囊中,两个聚合物材料薄片结合在一起且充注以形成单个囊。然后,从包围单个囊的两个聚合物材料薄片上将单个囊切割下来。然后,扔掉两个聚合物材料薄片的剩余部分。可选择地,两个聚合物材料薄片的剩余部分被重复利用(例如,通过重新研磨加工)以结合到其他囊中。与这种已有技术的囊相比,由于有 限的废品量,多个囊40以较高的生产效率来形成。 
形成棋盘形布置构型的囊40的另一优点涉及能量效率。如以上所提到的,一个囊40的凸状边(即,边51、53、和55)延伸入邻近囊40的凹状边(即,边52、54、和56),且这样重复用于多个囊40。因而,在单独的结合操作中用凸状边就形成了每一个凸状边。也就是说,两个邻近囊的边同时形成以减少形成多个囊40所必须发生的结合操作的总次数,因而增进了能量效率。 
在图7的连接构型中,第一囊40的凸状边延伸入邻近的第二囊40的凹状边。相似地,第二囊40的凸状边延伸入邻近第三囊40的凹状边。此外,第三囊40的凸状边延伸入第一囊40的凹状边。此种方式中,邻近的囊40有效地互锁。另外,除了设置在连接构型周边的那些囊以外,借助凸状边延伸入凹状边,每个囊40被六个邻近的囊40包围。尽管各个囊40被结合,但是囊40可由切断邻近的囊40之间的结合部而被分离。如下面所描述的,可以切断结合部以便留下所连接的囊40之间的结合部的相对小的部分。此种方式中,多个囊40保持连接,但是也可以用极小的作用力来拉开。 
现在,将描述图7所描述的制造多个囊40的方法。图8描述了具有一对对应的模具部分61和62的模具60。每个模具部分61和62具有各种脊63,所述脊63具有囊40的一般形状。更特别地是,脊63具有囊40的各种结合部的形状,包括外围结合部43和充注结合部44。当模具部分61和62以重叠构型放置时,模具部分61的脊63接触模具部分62的脊63。在本发明的一些方面,模具部分61和62中只有一个可以包括脊63以便模具部分61和62中的另一个有效地具有平面构型。因此,模具部分61和62的具体结构可以显著变化。 
参考图9A,描述了制造过程的一个一般步骤,其中两个热塑性聚合物薄片71和72放置在模具部分61和62之间。正如从以下描述中将是很明显的,薄片71和72各自成为用模具60形成的每个囊40的第一表面41和第二表面42。因此,薄片71和72可以是以上所描述的用于囊40的各种材料中的任何一种。 
参考图9B,描述了制造过程的另一个一般步骤,其中模具部分61和62压缩且结合薄片71和72。更特别地是,模具部分61和62移向薄片71和72以使脊63压缩部分薄片71和72。然后,部分模具60,尤其是脊63发射无线射频能量以便薄片71和72之间的接触区域被特定水平的无线射频能量辐照预定的一段时间。薄片71和72吸收无线射频能量且薄片71和72的温度上升直到部分薄片71和72熔化,达到玻璃转变温度、或以其他方式获得可以产生结合的温度。施加到薄片71和72的压力与随后的冷却共同形成了薄片71和72之间的界面处的结合部。无线射频结合是可以用来结合薄片71和72的一种技术,由此形成了外围结合部43和充注结合部44。其他合适的结合技术包括粘合、热接触、激光和红外线焊接。 
参考图9C,描述了制造过程的又一个一般步骤,其中所结合的薄片71和72从模具60移去。如以上所描述的,形成了相互邻近的各个囊40。因此,意欲形成外围结合部43的薄片71和72之间的每个结合部实际上形成了用于两个邻近囊40的外围结合部43。因此,可以使用冲模或其他切割工具来切断薄片71和72之间的各种结合,从而将囊40互相分开。为了确保囊40保持连接,如图7,只可以切断薄片71和72之间的大多数结合部。此外,形成了充注结合部44的薄片71和72之间的结合部也可以被切断以将充注区域45和囊40的中心部分分开。在一些实施方案中,模具60可以设置成用无线射频能量辐照之后便切断薄片71和72之间的结合部。 
切断了薄片71和72之间的结合部之后,各个囊40被充注。为了给囊40充注,充注针、充注喷嘴、充注电极、或其他充注设备可以连接到充注区域45以注射加压流体。然后,流体穿过在外围结合部43和充注结合部44之间形成的导管。一旦囊40合适地充有流体,充注区域45被密封以便密封囊40内的流体。例如,无线射频能量或热的又一用途可以用于密封充注区域45。如以上所提到的,切断充注结合部44以将充注区域45和囊40的中心部分分开。充注期间,第一表面41和第二表面42将向外充注。切断充注结合部44将充注区域45和囊40的中心部分分开且随着第一表面41和第二表面42向外膨胀允许充注区域45保持在固定的位 置。 
作为以上所描述方法的替代方法,囊40也可以通过吹塑成型工艺或热成形工艺来形成。例如,在热成形工艺中,薄片71和72在放入模具部分61和62间之前被加热。当模具60压缩脊63之间的薄片71和72时,在规定的位置发生结合。为了将薄片71和72拉成模具60的轮廓,可以在薄片71和72之间注入流体。通过模具60内的各个通气口,也可以从薄片71和72以及模具部分61和62之间的区域除去空气,从而将薄片71和72吸到模具部分61和62的表面上。也就是说,可以在薄片71和72以及模具部分61和62的表面之间形成至少部分的真空。 
图10描述了当从通过以上所描述的过程形成的多个囊移去时的单个囊40。与图3-6C所描述的囊40相比,图10中的囊40包括两个突出部46。其中一个突出部46从边51延伸,而另一个突出部46从边55延伸。如以上所描述的,一个囊40的突出部46延伸入邻近囊40的凹陷部分57。因此,制造期间,突出部46是囊40的棋盘形布置构型的部分。一旦单个囊40从图7所描述的多个连接的囊40中移去,突出部46也被移去。可选择地,突出部46可以用作在模具中设置囊40的定位点。也就是说,突出部46可以帮助在形成鞋底夹层31的模具中设置囊40,从而保证囊40合适地设置和定位在鞋底夹层31中。 
囊40的形状可以在本发明的范围内显著改变。也可以对囊40进行其他的修改。例如,在一些实施方案中可以没有充注结合部44和充注区域45,如图11所描述的。此外,囊40可以结合到除了鞋类之外的各种产品中。例如,多个囊40可以用作包装材料。囊40还可以结合到座椅垫或背包或高尔夫球包的带子中以增强舒适性。因此,囊40可以用于多种用途中。 
参考多种实施方案,在上文和附图中公开了本发明。然而,公开的目的在于提供涉及本发明的各种特征和概念的实施例,而不是在于限制本发明的范围。相关领域的技术人员应认识到,可以对上述实施方案做出许多变化和修改而并不偏离由所附权利要求限定的本发明的范围。 

Claims (26)

1.多个相连的囊,其包封加压流体,所述相连的囊包括:
具有六边形构型的第一囊,所述第一囊包括与三个第一凹状边交替的三个第一凸状边;
具有六边形构型的第二囊,所述第二囊包括与三个第二凹状边交替的三个第二凸状边;以及
具有六边形构型的第三囊,所述第三囊包括与三个第三凹状边交替的三个第三凸状边,
其中所述第一凸状边中的一个设置在邻近所述第二凹状边中的一个的位置且与其相连,所述第二凸状边中的一个设置在邻近所述第三凹状边中的一个的位置且与其相连,以及所述第三凸状边中的一个设置在邻近所述第一凹状边中的一个的位置且与其相连。
2.如权利要求1所述的囊,其中所述第一囊、所述第二囊和所述第三囊彼此基本上相同。
3.如权利要求1所述的囊,其中所述第一囊具有在外周处连接以限定所述第一凸状边和所述第一凹状边的第一表面和相对的第二表面。
4.如权利要求3所述的囊,其中所述第一表面和所述第二表面在所述第一囊的中心部分没有内部连接。
5.如权利要求1所述的囊,其中所述第一囊包括从所述第一囊的外周向内隔开的结合部,所述结合部限定了所述结合部和所述外周之间的通道,且所述通道基本上平行于所述外周延伸。
6.如权利要求5所述的囊,其中所述第一囊包括与所述通道流体连通的充注区域,所述充注区域提供用于将所述流体引入所述第一囊的区域,且所述充注区域被密封以便将所述流体密封在所述第一囊内。
7.如权利要求5所述的囊,其中所述结合部被切断以将所述通道与所述囊的中心部分分开。
8.如权利要求1所述的囊,其中所述第一囊包括从所述第一凸状边中的一个延伸出的至少一个突出部。
9.如权利要求8所述的囊,其中所述突出部延伸入所述第二凹状边中的一个内的凹陷部分。
10.如权利要求1所述的囊,其中所述第一囊、所述第二囊和所述第三囊形成棋盘形布置的模式。
11.如权利要求1所述的囊,其中所述相连的囊进一步包括四个附加囊,所述四个附加囊的边被设置在邻近所述第一囊的位置且连接到所述第一囊。
12.一种囊的物品,其包括各自包封了加压流体的多个囊,每一个所述囊具有棋盘形布置构型,其中第一囊的边设置在邻近多个第二囊的边的位置,且所述第一囊的所述边具有与所述多个第二囊的所述边相匹配的形状。
13.如权利要求12所述的物品,其中所述第一囊的所述边包括凸状边,并且所述多个第二囊的所述边包含凹状边,所述凸状边被设置在邻近所述凹状边的位置且连接到所述凹状边。
14.如权利要求13所述的物品,其中突出部从所述凸状边伸出,且所述突出部延伸入所述凹状边内的对应的凹陷部分。
15.如权利要求12所述的物品,其中所述第一囊和所述第二囊具有六边形构型。
16.如权利要求12所述的物品,其中所述第一囊和所述第二囊彼此基本上相同。
17.如权利要求12所述的物品,其中所述第一囊包括从所述第一囊的外周向内隔开的结合部,所述结合部限定了所述结合部和所述外周之间的通道,且所述通道基本上平行于所述外周延伸。
18.如权利要求17所述的物品,其中所述第一囊包括与所述通道流体连通的充注区域,所述充注区域提供用于将所述流体引入所述第一囊的区域,且所述充注区域被密封以便将所述流体密封在所述第一囊内。
19.如权利要求17所述的物品,其中所述结合部被切断以将所述通道与所述囊的中心部分分开。
20.一种制造多个囊的方法,所述方法包括以下步骤:
提供热塑性聚合物材料的第一薄片和第二薄片;
在所述第一薄片和所述第二薄片之间以棋盘形布置模式形成结合部以限定所述囊;以及
切断至少一部分所述结合部;
其中所述形成步骤包括使所述结合部成形以便具有三个第一边和三个第二边的六边形构型,所述第一边具有凸状构型,以及所述第二边具有凹状构型。
21.如权利要求20所述的方法,其中所述第一边与所述第二边交替。
22.如权利要求20所述的方法,其中所述形成步骤包括通过形成从所述囊中的一个的边向内隔开的结合部来在所述囊中的一个内限定充注通道。
23.如权利要求22所述的方法,其中所述形成步骤包括限定与所述充注通道流体连通的充注区域。
24.如权利要求23所述的方法,进一步包括将加压流体放置在所述囊内的步骤。
25.如权利要求24所述的方法,其中所述放置步骤包括将充注设备连接到所述充注区域以注入所述加压流体。
26.如权利要求20所述的方法,进一步包括将所述囊的至少一个包封在鞋类鞋底结构的聚合物泡沫材料内的步骤。
