技术领域
本发明涉及人工晶状体(IOL),特别涉及与用于将IOL注入眼睛内的设备结合使用的盒体。
背景技术
简单地说,人眼的功能在于通过称为角膜的透明外部传递和反射光线,进而通过晶状体将图像聚焦于在眼睛后部处的视网膜,由此提供视觉。聚焦的图像质量取决于许多因素,这些因素包括眼睛的尺寸、形状和长度以及角膜和晶状体的形状和透明度。
在外伤、年龄或疾病使晶状体变得不太透明时,由于能够被传递至视网膜的光线减弱,从而导致视觉恶化。眼睛视网膜的这样缺陷在医学上已知为白内障。对于这种情况的处理可采用晶状体的外科手术去除以及人工晶状体或IOL的植入。
虽然早期IOL是由硬质塑料(如,聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA))制成的,但是,由于能够折叠或卷起柔软的晶状体并将它们插入较小的切口中,因此,由硅、柔性丙烯酸树脂和水凝胶制成的柔性、可折叠的IOL已得到广泛应用。采用了几种卷起或折叠晶状体的方法。一种广泛采用的方法为注入盒体,其能够使晶状体折叠并提供直径相对较小的腔,通常由柔软的端部插杆通过该腔将晶状体推入眼睛内。在美国专利No.4,681,102(Bartell)中披露了一种最常用的注入盒设计,其包括开裂式(split)纵向铰接盒。在美国专利No.5,494,484和5,499,987(Feingold)以及5,616,148和5,620,450(Eagles等)中披露了类似的设计。为了试图避开在美国专利No.4,681,102的权利要求,已研发了几种固体盒,参见例如在美国专利No.5,275,604(Rheinish等)以及5,653,715(Reich等)。
这些现有技术的设备用于通过较大(大约3.0mm或更大)的切口,将IOL注入无晶状体眼睛的后腔内。目前,已对外科手术和IOL进行了研发,从而允许通过非常小的切口(2.4mm或更小)进行整个外科手术操作。这些小切口要求非常紧密地压缩IOL,并且在注入盒体上使用的喷嘴具有非常薄的壁。穿过具有非常薄的壁的喷嘴的非常紧密压缩的晶状体的结合在使用期间会使喷嘴裂开。
因此,仍需要一种能够通过较小切口注入IOL的人工晶状体注入盒体。
发明内容
本发明通过提供一种用于具有直的薄壁末端喷嘴的IOL投放系统的盒体,对现有技术进行了改进。在盒体的锥形折叠部分与喷嘴之间的过渡区域包含有助于防止盒体裂开的加强角板。在模制期间,喷嘴中的流动引导部引导物料流到12:00点位置处,从而使物流的焊接线位于6:00点的位置之前。
因此,本发明的一个目的在于提供一种用于具有直的薄壁末端喷嘴的晶状体投放系统的盒体。
本发明的另一个目的在于提供一种用于晶状体投放系统的盒体,其包含加强角板以有助于防止盒体裂开。
依据本发明,提供一种人工晶状体投放系统盒体,其包括:a)主体;b)管状喷嘴,其与主体相连并从主体向外伸出,该管状喷嘴具有近侧的锥形部分和远侧的直部分;以及c)在该管状喷嘴的锥形部分与直部分之间的过渡区域,该过渡区域具有角板,其中,直部分如此形成:由流动引导部将物料流的焊接线引导至6:00点的位置处,使直部分的最弱位置形成于最小应力处。
依据本发明,还提供一种制造人工晶状体投放系统盒体的方法,该方法包括以下步骤:a)形成主体;以及b)形成管状喷嘴,该管状喷嘴具有近侧的锥形部分和远侧的直部分,该管状喷嘴与主体相连并从主体向外伸出;其中,直部分如此形成:由流动引导部将物料流的焊接线引导至6:00点的位置处,使直部分的最弱位置形成于最小应力处。

具体实施方式
如图1-3中最清楚看到的那样,本发明的晶状体盒体10通常包括主体12和喷嘴14。盒体10可以由任意适合的热塑性材料(如聚丙烯)模制而成,并且,热塑性材料可包含如U.S.Pat.No.5,716,634中披露的润滑增强剂,该文献的全部内容可在本此处参考使用。喷嘴14可以与主体12一体形成。喷嘴14具有锥形部分16和直部分18。直部分18具有非常薄的壁,其厚度大约为0.07mm~0.17mm,并且,其优选为管状并具有基本上恒定的圆形、卵形或椭圆形剖面,同时其横截面积为大约1.0mm2~2.6mm2。直部分18的长度优选为大约3mm~5mm,以便在锥形部分16不进入切口的情况下,允许盒体10投放IOL24到囊状袋内。在锥形部分16与直部分18之间的过渡区域20包含加强角板22。加强角板22有助于防止喷嘴14在过渡区域20处裂开。
流动引导部26在锥形部分16的末端处升高,位于过渡部分20的近侧。流动引导部26在盒体10的注模期间帮助将物料流引导至12:00点的位置28处,随后,绕直部分18向下引导,从而使焊接线形成于6:00点的位置30处。发明人惊奇地发现:在直部分18的最大应力出现在12:00点的位置28周围,而在直部分18的最小应力出现在6:00点的位置30周围。将物料流的焊接线引导至6:00点的位置30处使直部分18的最弱位置形成于最小应力处,从而有助于减少在IOL的注入期间较小直部分18的裂开。

Claims (3)

1.一种人工晶状体投放系统盒体,其包括:
a)主体;
b)管状喷嘴,其与主体相连并从主体向外伸出,该管状喷嘴具有近侧的锥形部分和远侧的直部分;以及
c)在该管状喷嘴的锥形部分与直部分之间的过渡区域,该过渡区域具有角板,其中,直部分如此形成:由流动引导部将物料流的焊接线引导至6:00点的位置处,使直部分的最弱位置形成于最小应力处。
2.根据权利要求1所述的人工晶状体投放系统盒体,其中:锥形部分还包括多个流动引导部。
3.一种制造人工晶状体投放系统盒体的方法,该方法包括以下步骤:
a)形成主体;以及
b)形成管状喷嘴,该管状喷嘴具有近侧的锥形部分和远侧的直部分,该管状喷嘴与主体相连并从主体向外伸出;
其中,直部分如此形成:由流动引导部将物料流的焊接线引导至6:00点的位置处,使直部分的最弱位置形成于最小应力处。
