Description
技术领域
本发明通常涉及具有独特外观的发泡器壁聚合体容器。更特别的是,该发明涉及一种包括微孔发泡体的容器,其中该发泡体的微孔内包含非反应气体如氮,并且该容器具有银色外观。而且本发明也涉及具有银色外观的发泡器壁容器的制造方法。
背景技术
双轴取向的单和多层瓶子可以利用热预成形工艺由聚合物材料制造,例如,聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET),其中单个或多层预成型体被加热到它的理想取向温度,并拉伸吹塑模制成与围绕的模腔形状一致。预成型体可以通过任何惯用方法制备,例如,挤压出由单或多个聚合物层构成的预成型体,或在预先注塑模制好的预成型体上注塑后来的聚合物层。通常,多层用于饮料容器,以增加扩散阻碍特性,这种特性通常是在单层容器中所没有的。
在现有技术中多层容器的不同的层通常彼此密切接触,从而有利于该容器的器壁的热能传导。这使得该容器中冷却的内容物迅速地升温到周围温度。因此,这样的容器经常包裹在例如泡沫聚苯乙烯壳中,以便赋予该容器绝热性质。
希望制备出一种改善的塑料容器,不添加着色剂就能具有不透明的独特的视觉特性。此外,该改善的塑料容器希望能具有绝热性质。而且,希望制备一种具有银色外观的改善的塑料容器,其不需要添加对该容器的循环特性有不利影响的着色剂。
发明内容
根据本发明,令人惊讶地发现一种具有独特外观的发泡器壁容器。该容器包括微孔发泡体聚合物,和容纳在该微孔发泡体孔室中的非反应气体,其中该容器不用添加着色剂而具有银色外观。
本发明另一个实施方案涉及一种制造具有独特外观的发泡器壁容器的工艺。该工艺包括以下步骤:注塑模制在器壁之内夹带非反应气体的聚合物预成型体;冷却该预成型体到聚合物软化温度以下的温度;再加热该预成型体至上述的聚合物软化温度以上的温度,吹塑模制该预成型体,从而制备包括微孔发泡体聚合物的容器,在该微孔发泡体的孔室之内容纳非反应气体;其中该容器具有银色外观。
根据本发明的容器特别用于包装碳酸饮料。
具体实施方式
本发明涉及具有独特外观的发泡器壁容器,该容器包括微孔发泡体聚合体并在该微孔发泡体的孔室之内容纳非反应气体,其中该容器具有银色外观。
本发明另一个实施方案涉及一种制造具有独特外观的发泡器壁容器的工艺,其中包括注塑模制在器壁之内夹带非反应气体的聚合物预成型体,冷却该预成型体到聚合物软化温度以下的温度,再加热该预成型体至上述的聚合物软化温度以上的温度,吹塑模制该预成型体,从而制备包括微孔发泡体聚合物的容器,在该微孔发泡体的孔室之内容纳非反应气体,其中该容器具有银色外观。
适合制备容器的聚合物包括但不是必然限于聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)及其他聚酯、聚丙烯、丙烯腈酸酯、氯乙烯、聚烯烃、聚酰胺等,及其衍生、混合或共聚物。商业上最适合的是PET。
在常规增塑螺旋挤压机中熔融聚合物薄片,以便在挤压机排放时制备出热聚合物熔体的均质流。典型地,从挤压机排放的聚合物熔体流的温度为约225摄氏度至325摄氏度。本领域技术人员可以理解,聚合物熔体流的温度将由若干因素确定,包括所用的聚合物薄片的种类、挤压机螺杆的能源供应等等。例如,PET通常在大约260摄氏度到290摄氏度的温度下挤出。非反应气体在压力下注入挤压机的混合区,以便最终将该气体作为微孔空隙夹带在聚合物材料内。在本文中所用的术语“非反应气体”是指对聚合物基本上呈惰性的气体。优选的非反应气体包括二氧化碳、氮和氩,以及这些气体彼此之间或与其它气体的混合物。
根据本发明,挤出物被注射塑模成其中非反应气体夹带在器壁之内的聚合物预成型体。用于注塑模制聚合物预成型体的方法和装置是本领域公知的。
众所周知,无定形PET的密度为1.335克每立方厘米。还公知的是处于熔融相的PET密度为约1.200克每立方厘米。因此,如果预成型体注塑模制腔完全填充熔融的PET并使其冷却,那么得到的预成型体将不会显示出合适的重量,并可能具有许多严重的缺陷,如凹痕。现有技术的注塑模制文献教导了,为了补偿无定形PET和熔融PET的密度差异,必须将少量聚合物材料加入注塑模制腔进行了填充并且材料正在冷却的部分。这被称为填装压力。因此,在注塑模制循环期间的填装压力阶段必须加入大约百分之十以上的材料,以确保通过注塑模制形成的预成型体充足填充并充分成型。注塑模制操作的填装压力阶段同样地用于PET之外的聚合物材料。
然而根据本发明,利用非反应气体注射塑模聚合物预成型体并同时发泡。在注射塑模期间,该气体被夹带在材料中。与现有技术中在填装阶段期间注入其他聚合物材料的注塑模制工艺相反,本发明使用的填装压力最小。因为聚合物材料仍在熔融状态,该非反应气体分压足以容许溶解气体从聚合物中释放出来,形成气相,从而形成了所述微孔发泡体结构。因此,通过本发明的工艺制备的预成型体重量小于通过使用了填装工艺的常规注塑模制操作制备的聚合物预成型体,但是具有相同的形态和几何形状。
该微孔中可以包含一种或多种典型的用于制造微孔发泡体结构的气体。优选的是,该非反应气体包括二氧化碳,浓度为占非反应气体总重量的至少百分之十。此二氧化碳浓度水平提供了足够的分压以延迟二氧化碳从本发明容器中的碳酸饮料中扩散到外部环境中。微孔发泡体起到有效绝热体的作用,延迟了热能从环境传导到容器内的冷却的碳酸饮料中。
完成注塑模制步骤后,冷却预成型体到聚合物软化温度以下的温度。例如,该PET的软化温度大约70摄氏度。这样,夹带的非反应气体被保留在聚合物预成型体的器壁之内。该冷却步骤调节了聚合物并为成功制备吹塑模制的容器保留了其所希望的性质。在使用不能直接从挤出型坯吹塑模制的聚合物如聚酯时,该冷却步骤也可以使用。该冷却步骤可通过用于聚合物成型领域的任何常规方法来实施,例如通过将冷却气体流从预成型体的表面上通过,或通过冷却该成型模子来冷却仍然在模子中的预成型体。
随后,将预成型体重新加热到该聚合物软化温度以上的温度。该加热步骤可通过公知方法进行,例如通过将预成型体暴露于热气流中、通过火焰冲击、通过暴露于红外能量中、通过将预成型体经过常规烘箱等等。PET通常重新加热到其软化温度以上二十到二十五度的温度以用于随后的吹塑模制操作。如果PET被重新加热到超过其玻璃态转化温度太多的温度,或在其软化温度以上的温度下停留过长的时间,该PET会出现所不希望出现的结晶并变成白色。同样,如果预成型体加热到使得微孔中的非反应气体的增加压力超过材料的机械性能的温度,该微孔会出现所不希望的扩张,从而扭曲该预成型体。
最后,预成型体进行吹塑模制,从而制备基本上由微孔发泡体聚合物组成的容器,该容器在其微孔发泡体的孔室中容纳非反应气体。由聚合物预成型体吹塑模制容器的方法和装置是公知的。
该吹塑模制发泡器壁聚合物容器具有银色外观,好像该容器由金属制成。该吹塑模制容器在颜色上呈现银色,并且呈现潘通(Pantone)色彩配方指南中的色号在大约420到425、877、8001、8400、和8420范围内的颜色。最后制备的容器具有独特的银色外观不希望做为被限于任何特别的理论的理由,可以确信的是,当预成型体腔正在由聚合物填充时,由于溶解气体和预成型体腔中相对低压之间的压力差,气体的气泡形成在聚合物的流峰。被引入预成型体腔中的形成在该聚合物材料流峰的气泡随后沉淀在该预成型体的外表面和内表面。
从以上描述中,本领域技术人员很容易确定本发明的基本特征,在不偏离其实质和范围的情况下,可以做出各种变化和修改,以使本发明适用于各种用途和条件。
Claims (30)
1、容器,包括:
微孔发泡体聚合物;以及
在该微孔发泡体孔室之内容纳的非反应气体;
其中该容器具有银色外观。
2、如权利要求1所述的容器,其中:该聚合物包括聚酯、聚丙烯、丙烯腈酸酯、氯乙烯、聚烯烃、聚酰胺中的一种或多种、或其衍生物或共聚物。
3、如权利要求1所述的容器,其中:该聚合物包括聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯。
4、如权利要求1所述的容器,其中:该非反应气体包括二氧化碳、氮、氩中的一种或几种。
5、如权利要求1所述的容器,其中:该非反应气体包括氮。
6、如权利要求1所述的容器,其中:该非反应气体包括氮,浓度为至少10重量%。
7、如权利要求1所述的容器,其中:该容器的颜色约为Pantone色彩配方指南中的420、421、422、423、424、425、877、8001、8400或8420号。
8、如权利要求1所述的容器,其中:该容器的颜色约为Pantone色彩配方指南中的420、421、422、423、424或425号。
9、如权利要求1所述的容器,其中:该容器的颜色约为Pantone色彩配方指南中的877号。
10、容器,包括:
微孔发泡体聚合物,包括聚酯、聚丙烯、丙烯腈酸酯、氯乙烯、聚烯烃、聚酰胺中的一种或多种、或其衍生物或共聚物;以及
非反应气体,包括二氧化碳、氮、氩中的一种或几种;
其中该容器的颜色约为Pantone色彩配方指南中的420、421、422、423、424、425、877、8001、8400、或8420号。
11、如权利要求10述的容器,其中:该聚合物包括聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯。
12、如权利要求10述的容器,其中:该非反应气体包括氮。
13、如权利要求10述的容器,其中:该容器的颜色约为Pantone色彩配方指南中的420、421、422、423、424、425或877号。
14、容器,包括:
聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯微孔发泡体;以及
包括氮的非反应气体,容纳在微孔发泡体孔室之内;
其中该容器的颜色约为Pantone色彩配方指南中的877号。
15、容器制备的工艺,包括以下步骤:
注塑模制在器壁之内夹带非反应气体的聚合物预成型体;
冷却该预成型体到聚合物软化温度以下的温度;
再加热该预成型体至上述的聚合物软化温度以上的温度;以及
吹塑模制该预成型体,从而制备基本上由微孔发泡体聚合物组成的容器,在该微孔发泡体的孔室之内容纳非反应气体;
其中该容器具有银色外观。
16、如权利要求15的容器制备工艺,其中该聚合物包括聚酯、聚丙烯、丙烯腈酸酯、氯乙烯、聚烯烃、聚酰胺中的一种或多种、或其衍生物或共聚物。
17、如权利要求15的容器制备工艺,其中该聚合物包括聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯。
18、如权利要求15的容器制备工艺,其中该非反应气体包括二氧化碳、氮、氩中的一种或几种。
19、如权利要求15的容器制备工艺,其中该非反应气体包括氮。
20、如权利要求15的容器制备工艺,其中该非反应气体包括氮,浓度为至少10重量%。
21、如权利要求15的容器制备工艺,其中该容器的颜色约为Pantone色彩配方指南中的420、421、422、423、424、425、877、8001、8400或8420号。
22、容器制备的工艺,包括以下步骤:
注塑模制聚合物预成型体,包括聚酯、聚丙烯、丙烯腈酸酯、氯乙烯、聚烯烃、聚酰胺中的一种或多种、或其衍生物或共聚物,该预成型体在其器壁中夹带包括二氧化碳、氮、氩中的一种或几种的非反应气体;
冷却该预成型体到大约70摄氏度以下的温度;
再加热该预成型体至70摄氏度以上的温度;
吹塑模制该预成型体,从而制备包括微孔发泡体聚合物的容器,在该微孔发泡体的孔室之内容纳非反应气体;
其中该容器具有银色外观。
23、如权利要求22的容器制备工艺,其中该聚合物包括聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯。
24、如权利要求22的容器制备工艺,其中该非反应气体包括氮。
25、如权利要求22的容器制备工艺,其中该非反应气体包括氮,浓度为至少10重量%。
26、如权利要求22的容器制备工艺,其中该容器的颜色约为Pantone色彩配方指南中的420、421、422、423、424、425或877号。
27、微孔预成型体制备工艺,包括以下步骤:
注塑模制器壁中夹带非反应气体的微孔聚合物预成型体;
冷却该预成型体到该聚合物软化温度以下的温度;
再加热该预成型体到该聚合物玻璃态转化温度以上,并低于该微孔气泡的增加压力超过材料特性抵抗该微孔气泡扩张的能力从而导致扭曲预成型体的温度。
28、容器,其由如权利要求27所述的工艺制备的预成型体制成,该工艺还包括以下步骤:
吹塑模制该热预成型体以制备基本上由在微孔发泡体孔室内容纳非反应气体的微孔发泡体聚合物组成的容器;其中该容器具有银色外观。
29、容器,由权利要求28所述的工艺制成,其中该容器的绝缘性能与该预成型体中微孔发泡体所占的百分比成正比。
30、具有发泡结构的塑料容器,其中该容器的绝缘特性与制成该容器的预成型体中的发泡体成正比。
