技术领域
本发明涉及用于对具有高井眼流体压力的井进行射孔的装置和方法。
背景技术
碳氢化合物(比如石油和天然气)产自穿过地层中的一个或多个碳氢化合物储层的套管井眼。这些碳氢化合物通过套管井眼中的射孔流入井眼。射孔通常使用装有聚能射孔弹的射孔枪形成。射孔枪在电线、钢丝、生产油管、连续油管或其他运送装置上被下入井眼,直到其邻近碳氢化合物生产地层。其后,地面信号致动与射孔枪相连的发火头,于是发火头引爆聚能射孔弹。由聚能射孔弹的爆炸所形成的射弹或射流穿透套管从而允许地层流体流经射孔并且流入生产管柱。

现有技术的枪结构利用了非钢制部件。例如,美国专利No.6,865,792涉及一种用于制造射孔枪的方法,所述方法部分地涉及形成具有多层的承载管。但是,这些方法似乎主要针对以低成本制造承载管。美国专利No.5,829,538教导了一种具有弹托架和炸药的射孔枪,所述炸药由在炸药爆炸时碎裂的材料形成。美国专利No.6,422,148教导了一种射孔枪组件,其包括至少一个由复合材料构造的并且不可渗透井眼流体的部件。所述复合部件设计成在射孔枪爆炸时碎裂为小片。因而,使用非金属部件的传统枪布置没有解决在较高压井眼情况下存在的问题。
本发明解决了现有技术的这些和其他缺陷。
发明内容
一方面,本发明提供了一种在井眼射孔枪中使用的承载管。所述承载管包括选自具有相对不同物理性能的材料的内层和外层。所述内层具有较高的抗压强度,所述外层具有较高的抗拉强度。每一层的材料选择可包括后文总称为“钢”的各种钢和钢合金、非钢合金、基本金属、陶瓷、纤维复合物等。内层使管能够抵抗井眼压缩压力,其可根据所选的材料而包括较高的压力。同时,外层捕获并且容放枪爆炸时所产生的任何内层碎片。承载管及与其相连的射孔枪因而适用于多种井眼情况并且减少了对在其使用之后的清洁工作的需要。
另一方面,本发明提供了一种用于井眼射孔枪的承载管,所述承载管包括管状芯和围绕所述管状芯的保持部件。在该方面中,管状芯由在承载管内施加爆炸力时破碎为碎片的材料形成。由承载管外部的井眼流体所施加的压缩力基本上能透过所述保持部件。保持部件在从承载管内施加爆炸力的过程中或其后“容放”(即容纳)管状芯的碎片,因而使得能够在整体收回射孔枪的同时将至少大部分碎片移出井眼。
本发明的又一方面提供了一种用于为井眼射孔的设备。该设备包括弹管;附在所述弹管中的多个聚能射孔弹;在能量方面(energetically)连接至每一个聚能射孔弹的导爆索;和具有用于接收弹管的内孔的承载管。承载管包括径向内层;和径向外层。径向内层具有比径向外层高的抗压强度,径向外层具有比径向内层高的抗拉强度。
在多个方面中,本发明提供了一种用于使用井眼射孔枪在较高压力井眼环境中为井眼射孔的方法。在一个实施例中,所述方法包括在管状芯中设置井眼射孔枪的至少一个聚能射孔弹,和用保持部件围绕管状芯。保持部件可被承载管外部的井眼流体压力所施加的压缩力基本上穿透,并且在所述至少一个聚能射孔弹爆炸之后捕获或容放管状芯的至少一部分碎片。一种示例性的设置包括将井眼射孔枪运送到井眼中,发射井眼射孔枪,和收回井眼射孔枪。

现在参照图2,显示了根据本发明的射孔枪100的一个实施例。按传统方式,射孔枪100包括例如弹带或弹管102的弹保持部件、聚能射孔弹104和比如导爆索(未显示)的其他已知部件。有利地,射孔枪100包括非金属承载管106,所述非金属承载管由具有足够抗压屈服强度和抗拉强度的一种或多种材料形成,以抵抗高井眼压力和/或与爆炸相关的冲击力。下面讨论承载管106的示例性实施例。

在将枪100部署在井眼中的过程中,枪的内部112基本上保持在大气压力下,而承载管106的外表面114承受周围的流体压力(例如流体静力学压力)。由此形成的压差使压缩力承载在外表面114上。但是外层110将大部分压缩力传送到具有较高抗压强度的内层108。关于这点,可认为压缩力基本上能透过外层110。因而,由于内层108的较高抗压强度,承载管106具有允许枪100抵抗高井眼压力的结构刚度。具有较高抗压强度的材料(比如一些陶瓷)可易于在受到拉伸负载时破裂。所述破裂可能与毛细裂纹一样细小或使内层破碎。因而,在聚能射孔弹104爆炸过程中,内层108可能爆裂或碎裂。有利地,外层110具有足够的抗拉强度从而在由爆炸所引起的爆破压力下继续存在而仍允许爆炸的爆炸力到达地层。由于外层110在爆炸过程中没有碎裂而只是射孔,留下其大部分基本上完整无损,因此,外层100可用作封套或容放装置,其捕获(即容放或容纳)枪100内的破裂的内层108并且保持比如底部接头120和串联接头122的相邻部件之间的物理连接。应当理解,然后,枪100及其基本上容放在外层100内的构成部件可在射孔活动之后从井眼收回。
仍参照图2,模块式接头124将承载管106连接到枪100上。在一个实施例中,模块式接头124形成为金属套筒,所述金属套筒具有连接到承载管的第一端126和连接到连接接头120或122或其他枪部件的第二端128。在一种布置中,通过适当的环氧树脂、胶或树脂将内层108化学粘合到第一端126上。在其他布置中,可利用例如螺纹连接的机械接头。另外,外层108与第一端126充分重叠以便与模块式接头124也形成结合或连接。由于前述原因,外层108和模块式接头124之间的连接应足够强从而在爆炸后继续存在。用于该连接的适当装置包括使用胶、环氧树脂或树脂的化学连接和/或比如压缩带的机械连接。第二端128可以具有与所选的枪结构配合所需的构造。

通常,用于外层的适当材料可包括例如碳、玻璃、硅石、石墨、KEVLARTM、NOMEXTM和/或ARAMIDTM的纤维和由纤维与基体材料组合而成的其他材料。带涂层纤维也包括在本发明的范围内。其他适当的材料包括聚合物(例如热固塑料和热塑性塑料)、陶瓷、钢、钢合金、非钢合金、基本金属和金属间化合物。例如,纤维复合材料可由玻璃和/或碳纤维与作为基底材料的环氧树脂构造而成。纤维可被嵌入单一基体材料中或嵌入多于一种基体材料的混合物中。纤维可以都是一种材料或者包括多种材料的组合。
只要内层的相对抗压强度高于外层的,并且外层的相对抗拉强度高于内层的,用于内层的适当材料也可选自与用于外层相同的列表。在呈现高井眼压力的井中,也可选择改良的高强度钢,该改良的高强度钢可能特别有效。在将这种钢用于内层的情况下,爆炸可能导致形成毛边,所述毛边是如下所述的区域,在这些区域中,爆炸所形成的射孔使围绕孔的钢边缘变形,从而使其相对于承载管的整个表面沿径向向外方向升高或突出。这样的毛边可能在从井眼收回枪方面存在问题,这是因为毛边可能卡在比如井套管的部分的相邻结构上。该问题可通过将改良的高强度钢内层和较高屈服强度的外层(例如碳纤维复合材料)相组合来解决。这种组合可用于减少毛边的突出,导致由爆炸所形成的孔较小。该组合还可减少毛边卡在比如井套管的部分的相邻结构上的可能性。最后,该组合还可以容放比如如果内层在爆炸过程中破碎可能产生的所耗用射孔弹的残余物或任何钢片的碎屑。
作为比较,钢也可在不存在高井眼压力的应用中用于外层,但是在该情况下,希望钢是具有比内层材料更高屈服强度的材料。例如,传统钢(即非高硬度钢)外层可与陶瓷内层组合。在该情况下,钢外层可主要用于容放可能由于爆炸而产生的任何陶瓷片。因而,无论使用或不使用钢作为部件,本领域技术人员可想到对本发明进行适应性改变以使其能够有利地既应用于高井眼压力井又应用于较小压力井。

Claims (20)

16.一种用于使用井眼射孔枪在较高压力井眼环境中为井眼射孔的方法,包括:
(a)在管状芯中设置井眼射孔枪的至少一个聚能射孔弹;和
(b)用保持部件围绕所述管状芯,其中,由所述承载管外部的井眼流体压力施加的压力基本能透过所述保持部件,而且其中,所述保持部件在所述至少一个聚能射孔弹爆炸之后容放所述管状芯的至少一部分碎片。
17.根据权利要求16所述的方法,还包括至少部分地用下列材料中的一种形成径向内层:(i)钢;(ii)基本金属;(iii)非钢合金;(iv)陶瓷;和(v)纤维复合材料。
18.根据权利要求16所述的方法,还包括至少部分地用下列材料中的一种形成径向外层:(i)钢;(ii)基本金属;(iii)非钢合金;(iv)陶瓷;和(v)纤维复合材料。
19.根据权利要求16所述的方法,其中,径向内层具有比径向外层高的抗压强度。
20.根据权利要求16所述的方法,还包括:将所述井眼射孔枪运送到所述井眼中;发射所述井眼射孔枪;和收回所述井眼射孔枪。
