Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及分组电话领域,尤其涉及通过同时用于模拟电话的布线在局域网(LAN)内使用分组电话。
背景技术
模拟电话网
一般称之为“简易老式电话业务”(“POTS”)的模拟电话已经存在了100多年,这种电话对于传输和交换声谱的3-4KHz段(或“频带”)内的话音信号设计和制造得相当好。我们熟悉的POTS网络支持实时、低等待时间、高可靠性、保真度适中的话音电话,而且能在各自使用模拟电话机的两个端点之间建立会话。
在此使用的术语“计算机”和“个人计算机”(“PC”)包括带有接口以连接局域网的工作站和其他数据终端设备(DTE)。在此使用的术语“电话机”包括可使用模拟电话信号连接公众交换电话网(“PSTN”)的任何装置,这种装置的非限制实例有:传真机,自动电话应答机,以及拨号调制解调器。
出口

LAN环境
与互联网相关的发展之一是分组电话。分组电话涉及使用基于分组的网络(通常使用网际协议IP)来传递电话和有关数据,除了话音内容,这些数据还可包括声音、图像、电影、多媒体以及它们的任何组合。与在模拟电话中通过交换电话线连接一对电话不同的是,分组电话通常涉及在电话线路的一端或两端使用IP电话,其中通过使用分组交换和分组路由技术的分组网络(例如,通过互联网)传送信息。
近年来,通过话音经网际协议(VoIP)方案提供了一种组合电话和数据通信二者到单个网络中的解决方案。在此技术中,电话信号被数字化并被作为数据通过LAN传送。这些系统在本技术领域中是熟知的。
图1是典型的基于LAN的电话环境10。通常使用10BaseT或100BaseTX以太网IEEE802.3接口和拓扑结构的这种网络使用集线器11作为集中装置,所有装置都被接到这个集中装置中。装置分别通过网络出口15a、15b和15c内嵌入的数据连接器14a、14b和14c分别经由电缆13a、13b和13c与集线器11相连。数据连接器14a、14b和14c可以是例如,RJ-45型;而电缆13a、13b和13c可以是例如,5类布线。网络10的电话部分使用IP电话17a、17b和17c,这些IP电话分别经由电缆16a、16b和16c连接网络连接器14a、14b和14c。服务器12也可与集线器11相连,并且能执行IP-PBX功能,以及在本技术领域应用的其他服务器功能。

图2是在VoIP环境中使用POTS电话机的网络20。网络20基本上使用与网络10(图1)相同的网络基础设施。然而,不是使用IP电话17a、17b和17c,而是使用POTS电话机22a、22b和22c,这些电话机分别经由电缆6a、6b和6c连接VoIP/PSTN适配器21a、21b和21c,VoIP/PSTN适配器21a、21b和21c又分别经由电缆22a、22b和22c连接网络出口15a、15b和15c。这种配置能提供IP电话的优点,还允许使用通用的便宜的POTS电话机。

Harper的EP 0824298是使用ATM作为网络协议的现有技术网络30的例子。类似的,英国专利GB 2352360也涉及在数字广播环境中通过ATM信元携带的电话。
Farrell等人的美国专利5,530,894公开了一种允许模拟电话使用涉及数据链路层处理的专用时分交换电路,作为数字网络的一部分被路由的特定方法和系统的例子。
Whittaker等人的美国专利6,130,893是示意建筑物内的现有技术网络30的另一个例子。外部终端适配器20允许添加使用标准模拟电话机(POTS)的附加电话线。为此,终端适配器20具有插口47和连接媒体接入控制单元(MACU)52的输出端45,其输出到分组解码器54并从分组编码器66接收输入。必须提供外部电源以便为诸如MACU的终端适配器内部的有源组件、分组解码器和编码器以及各种有源组件供电。正如上面指出的,这将使得这些装置的安装、使用和维护更为复杂化。
家用网络
家用电话业务通常使用二线或四线,电话机经电话出口与这二线或四线相连。

接线盒34用于将家内电路从PSTN中分隔开来,并被用作故障诊断以及家内的新布线的测试设备。多个电话可经由多个电话出口35a、35b、35c和35d连接电话线5。每个出口都有一个连接器(经常称之为“插口”),在图4中这些插口分别被表示为36a、36b、36c和36d。在北美,RJ-11通常被用作插口。每个出口可经由插入到该插口内的“插头”连接器连接电话设备。
网络40通常被配置成串形或“雏菊链”拓扑结构,其中以线性方式从一个出口连接布线到下一个出口,但也可以使用诸如星形、树形的其他拓扑结构或任意形状的拓扑结构。然而,不管采用什么拓扑结构,住宅内的电话布线系统总是使用有线媒介:两根或四根铜线加上一个或多个出口,这样就能通过直接使用这些电话线来连接电话机。
经常希望能够同时使用现有的电话布线,同时用于电话和数据联网。这样,由于不需要设置额外的线路,就能简化在家或其他建筑物内建立新局域网的工作。Crane的美国专利4,766,402(在下文中称之为“Crane”)讲述了一种用标准二线式电话线,但不同时支持电话的局域网。
在另一个例子中,在Dichter的美国专利5,896,443(在下文中称之为“Dichter”)中公开了本领域内的相关现有技术。Dichter建议了一种对住宅电话布线采用频域/频分复用(FDM)技术的方法和装置,使电话和数据通信信号的同时传送成为可能。这种布线上的可用带宽被划分为能传送模拟电话信号的低频带和能传送数据通信信号的高频带。在这种机制中,电话不受任何影响,同时还能通过家内的现有电话布线提供数据通信能力。
频域/频分复用(FDM)的概念在本技术领域是众所周知的,其能提供将线路携带的带宽分割为能传送模拟电话信号的低频带和能传送 数据通信或其他信号的高频带的手段。在例如Reichert等人的美国专利4,785,448(在下文中称之为“Reichert”)中描述了这种机制。被广泛使用的还有xDSL系统,主要是非对称数字用户环线(ADSL)系统。
除了示意住宅电话系统,图4还示出了Dichter网络的布置。网络40不仅服务模拟电话,还能提供数据装置的局域网。数据终端设备(DTE)装置7a,7b和7c分别经由数据通信设备(DCE)装置39a、39b和39c连接该局域网。数据通信设备的例子包括,但不局限于,调制解调器,线路驱动器,线路接收机,以及收发信机(术语“收发信机”在此指示组合的发射机和接收机),其能通过电话线5实现通信。DCE装置39a、39b和39c分别连接到高通滤波器(HPF)38a、38b和38c,这些高通滤波器使得能使用电话线5所携带的高频带。为避免因电话引起的对数据网络的干扰,增加低通滤波器(LPF)37a、37b和37c以隔离POTS载带,这样电话22a、22b和22c就能连接电话线5以提供PSTN。此外,低通滤波器还可连接接线盒34(图中未示出),以便过滤从PSTN布线33感应或感应到PSTN布线33中的噪声。
图5示出了基于电话线的LAN 50,其中数据网络用于同时传送VoIP电话和常规DTE网络数据。集线器31a、31b和31c允许经由DCE装置39a、39b和39c连接相应的DTE装置7a,7b和7c以及相应的IP电话17a、17b和17c到相应的单个网络连接。图中还示意模拟电话22a、22b和22c经由相应的低通滤波器(LPF)37a、37b和37c被连接到电话出口35a、35c和35d。因此,模拟电话与模拟电话线5直接相连。
为无需使用IP电话17a、17b和17c,而允许使用模拟电话机22a、22b和22c,如前所述必须添加适配器21a、21b和21c(图3)。图6示出了做此变动的网络60。网络50中的IP电话17a、17b和17c被分别经由适配器21a、21b和21c连接到集线器41a、41b和41c的模拟电话机22d、22e和22f取代。
图6展示了这种配置的复杂性。需要至少三种外部设备:DCE装置39a、39b和39c;集线器41a、41b和41c;以及适配器21a、21b和21c。每一个这些设备通常都需要独立的电源连接,这就增加了连 接的复杂度。因此,这种网络很复杂,而且很难安装、操作和维护。在现有技术中,建议将DCE、HPF和LPF组件集成到出口35a、35b和35c中。然而,在这种网络中,外部集线器41a、41b和41c,以及适配器21a、21b和21c仍带来了额外的复杂度。
类似的,Bullock等人的WO 01/28215描述了一种用于通过建筑物内的现有电源线携带模拟电话的系统。这个解决方案需要许多外部装置,如基座装置102、PLC I/F 103,PLC I/F 106以及扩展装置107。要求这些多个和不同装置增加了复杂度,使安装变得麻烦和困难。
因此广泛认同的需要是,一种允许在LAN/VoIP环境中无需附加外部设备而且便于安装、操作和维护地使用模拟(POTS)电话机的方式,而且这种方式也会带来极大便利。本发明就能满足这个目标。
发明内容
本发明使得在包括但不局限于使用VoIP技术的IP电话的分组电话环境中能简单和方便地使用模拟(“POTS”)电话机。本发明为局域网(LAN)提供集成有综合模拟/VoIP适配器的出口。该出口具有标准模拟电话插口(例如,在北美使用的RJ-11),使得模拟电话机能直接连接到分组电话系统并与分组电话系统一起使用。
在第一个实施例中,根据本发明的出口与普通LAN环境一起使用,如以太网10BaseT(IEEE802.3)。该出口允许经由集成的模拟/VoIP适配器连接模拟电话机到LAN,通过LAN媒介支持模拟电话,以及能支持使用集成的多端口装置(例如,集线器,交换机,或路由器)的标准网络数据连接。对于标准网络数据连接而言,该出口还包括一个数据网络插口(如果使用10BaseT或100BaseT,则采用例如RJ-45)与端口相连。
在另一个实施例中,在家庭或小型办公室/家庭办公室(SoHo)环境中,该出口使得LAN能基于建筑物内的电话布线。基于分组的LAN得以实现,而且根据本发明的出口能同时充当电话出口和网络出口。这使得能通过数据网络直接和方便地连接模拟电话机到VoIP分组电话。在这种布置中,由于频谱的低频模拟部分通过FDM技术被隔离,因此常规模拟电话业务仍然不受影响。上面指出,利用集成的多端口装置(例如,集线器,交换机或路由器),该出口还可以支持网络数据连接,而且在此情况下,该出口还包括一个数据网络插口(如果使用10BaseT或100BaseT,则采用例如RJ-45)与端口相连。
根据本发明的出口可以作为原始网络安装的一部分,作为对现有网络的改进,或在现有的电话布线上建立网络来安装。

具体实施方式
参照附图和伴随的说明可以理解根据本发明的网络的原理和操作。这些附图和说明只是概念性的。在实际的实践中,单个组件能实现一种或多种功能;或者,每一种功能可通过多个组件和电路实现。在这些附图和说明中,相同的附图标记指示不同实施例或配置共有的那些组件。
图7A和7B是根据本发明的两个不同实施例的出口70和75的示意图。如图7B所示,出口75包括VoIP到模拟电话适配器21。出口75经由连接器71连接数据网络布线。连接器71优选位于出口75的后部,在这里出75用机械方式安装到建筑物的墙内。出口75经由插口72连接模拟电话机。插口72优选位于出口75的前部,或“面板”上,当出口75被安装到建筑物的墙内时能看得见它。插口72可以是RJ-11插口,这种插口通常在北美用于模拟电话。出口75允许经以适配器21桥接的连接器71连接模拟电话机(经插口72)到数据网络。如图7A所示,出口70也包括适配器21,但另外还包括集线器31和与集线器31直接相连的数据插口73。由于存在集线器31,出口70允许模拟电话(经插口72)和数据装置(经插口73)同时经连接器71连接到数据网络。优选地,插口72和插口73均位于出口70的前部,或“面板”上。

网络80具有VoIP技术的优点,允许以仅通过将电话的标准连接器插入出口内的插口72中来连接普通电话的一般方式来使用通用的模拟电话。
尽管到此为止已经将出口70和75描述为具有单个模拟电话连接,但应理解的是,也可以支持多个模拟电话插口72,其中独立的适配器21用于连接出口内的每个电话插口。类似地,在每个出口70也可支持多个数据联网接口73,每个接口73被连接到图7A所示的集线器31的不同端口。
给出口70和75以及模拟电话(经适配器21)的供电可以通过将电源连接到每个出口在本地实现,或者优选地经由网络自身实现。在后一情况下,通常称之为“通过LAN供电”,可以利用众所周知的幻象配置通过附加的线对,或通过FDM(频分/频域复用)方法将电源从中心位置传输至出口。后一方法通常使用DC馈电,其与频谱的较高部分所携带的数据频率分隔。
在另一个实施例中,在用建筑物内的电话线的数据网络内使用本发明,其中在频谱的低频部分携带模拟电话信号,而在高频部分携带数据通信信号。图9是根据本发明的出口90,其能分离和合并处于频谱不同部分的信号。出口90经由优选位于出口90后部的连接器91连接电话布线,在这里出口90用机械方式安装到建筑物的墙内。出口90中的低通滤波器(LPF)37用于隔离频谱的模拟电话部分,以经由插口92连接模拟电话。插口92优选为标准电话插口,如在北美使用的RJ-11。数据通信信号由高通滤波器(HPF)38来隔离,高通滤波器(HPF)38连接数据通信设备(DCE)装置39,其包含用于通过电话线媒介进行数据通信的调制解调器。集成的集线器41允许在VoIP适配器21和数据插口93之间共享数据,以借助标准数据联网接口(如根据IEEE802.3的10BaseT接口)经由DCE装置39连接外部设备到网络。适配器21允许连接模拟电话机到插口94,其类似于插口92,如前所述,从而允许连接插口94的模拟电话所使用的数字化/分组化模拟话音信号被多路复用到数据插口93接收到的数据信号上。插口94优选为标准电话插口,如在北美使用的RJ-11。出口90同时支持标准模拟电话(经插口92)以及使用标准模拟电话的VoIP电话(经插口94)。
因此,出口90支持三种类型的接口:常规模拟电话(经插口92),数据通信(经插口93),以及VoIP电话(经插口94)。也可提供这些功能的子集。例如,可以实现仅支持VoIP电话的出口,无需LPF37和插口92,以及无需集线器41和插口93。在此情况下,适配器21直接连接到DCE装置39。
图10示意了根据本发明在电话线5a、5b、5c、5d和5e上工作的网络100。网络100使用出口90a、90d、95b和96c。出口95b与出口90a和出口90d的不同之处在于,不具备PSTN支持,因为在出口95b不像在出口90a和90d中那样提供低通滤波器(LPF)和相关插口。类似地,出口96c通过使用LPF 37b和模拟电话连接器插口只允许PSTN连接。这些出口(90a、90d、95b和96c)的任何混合方式都是可行的。
图10的网络100经由模拟电话机22a、22b和22c支持常规PSTN电话业务。同时,通过模拟电话机22d、22e和22f可使用VoIP电话业务。另外,可通过数据装置7a、7b和7c可实现数据联网。

术语“生命线”是指电话作为基本和紧急服务的概念,其功能必须得以维持。因此,要求在任何其他系统或服务(例如,电)中的故障不会降低电话系统的功能。实际上,这意味着只要工作着的电话机经由不间断的二线被有效连接到电话交换机,即使在电源故障的情况下也能维持电话服务。
根据至此提出的方案使用VoIP技术的主要缺陷是,不能支持生命线功能,而且数据网络的任何故障(例如,断电,或集线器,DCE或软件故障)将导致损失基于IP电话的业务。从图10可以看到对于模拟电话22d无“生命线”功能。因此,经数据网络通过适配器21a、集线器41a和DCE装置39a连接模拟电话22d,于是电源故障或任何一个这些有源装置的故障将导致经由模拟电话22d的服务的损失。因此模拟电话22d不具备“生命线”功能。对于模拟电话22e和22f来说也是这样。
然而,与此相反,模拟电话22a通过低通滤波器37a连接电话线5a/5b。LPF 37a是一个可靠性相对较高的无源装置,能免于故障。因此,模拟电话22a使PSTN网络的一部分保持了生命线功能。模拟电话22c同样如此。因此,网络100具有部分生命线功能。
图11示意了根据本发明用以确保完全生命线功能的出口110。出口使用继电器112,其工作于本技术领域众所周知的“下降”模式。继电器112是向出口90a的那些组件中添加的用以提供电话连接的主要组件,其大部分基于分组电话,但也能提供生命线功能。出口110具有若干插口。插口93直接连接集线器41以提供全部时间的数据连接。插口92直接连接低通滤波器37以提供全部时间的模拟电话连接。插口117连接继电器112的刀112a。继电器112的掷112b连接适配器21,其提供VoIP分组电话和模拟电话之间的转换。然而掷112c连接 LPF37。在非通电状态下,电极112a连接电极112c。传感器111根据数据通信在网络上的可用性控制继电器112的状态。对传感器111的输入113、114、115和116分别来自适配器21、集线器41、DCE装置39以及对高通滤波器38的输入,因此传感器111能检测到本地或网络数据路径上的任何故障,如无网络活动,网络断电,或任何其他故障情况。在通常的操作中,当网络数据通信正在运行时,继电器112被触发以连接插口117到适配器21,因此插口117一般经由VoIP/模拟适配器连接模拟电话到分组电话网络。在网络数据通信有任何故障或断电的情况下,传感器111释放继电器112以将插口117转换到LPF37,因此,假定能使用模拟电话服务即使在数据网络不工作的情况下与插口117相连的模拟电话仍能工作。出口110因此在正常地支持分组电话的同时具有生命线功能。在这些情况下,插口92不是必需的,可以去掉。应理解的是,虽然在前面的描述中,采用机械的继电器用于上面的转换功能,但同样也可以使用任何其他转换机制。因此,在本说明书和所附权利要求书的上下文中,术语“继电器”包括适合于响应外部触发连接一个公共连接到两个可能连接中的任何一个的任何机电和电子开关。
图12示意了根据本发明用以提供生命线功能的出口的另一个实施例。已经参考了本身固有模拟电话的电话线数据联网环境描述了出口110(图11),而图12示意的出口120可应用于任何LAN。继电器112和传感器111执行如前所述用于出口110的相同功能。然而,在严格用于数据的网络环境中通常不是模拟电话信号都可用,因此通过专用布线将该信号经连接器122提供给出口120,优选沿网络布线结构传送。线路121将信号从连接器122传送到继电器112的一个掷。或者,可以在网络布线上传送模拟电话信号,如通过使用FDM。图13示意了在此情况下使用的出口130,其中POTS隔离装置131经线路121馈送模拟信号给继电器112。
图14示意了本发明的主要应用。网络140包括网络100的部分或全部,其存在于建筑物内部。网络140连接由服务提供商或“IP载运 者”操作的IP网络142,这个网络可同时传送数据和话音(使用VoIP技术)。网关141用于桥接建筑物内网络到IP网络142,并且连接现有家内电话布线5a、5b和5c。这种配置允许IP载运者同时提供数据和话音业务,无需修改或添加建筑物内布线,只需更换电话出口。
尽管本发明至此被展示为与电话布线和电话出口有关,但本发明同样适用于建筑物内的任何类型的接线网络,如CATV或电源布线。图15示意了出口150,其是本发明的一般实施例。出口150在总体设计上与出口90(图9)类似。出口150经由连接器151连接相关布线,并且包含综合数据/业务分路器/合路器装置152,其从主业务信号中隔离通过布线携带的数据。就电话来说,装置152包含低通滤波器(如LPF 37)和高通滤波器(如HPF 38)。就电源布线来说,AC电源被装置152分割并被馈电给插座154,以正常提供电源。在这种情况下,调制解调器153是电源线载波(PLC)调制解调器,连接集线器41到综合数据/业务分路器/合路器装置152,并允许通过电源线进行数据通信。类似地,就CATV应用来说,CATV布线用于网络基础设施,同轴电缆调制解调器用作调制解调器153,而装置152从数据信号中分离出CATV信号。
尽管至此已经描述本发明为与基于IP的数据网络有关,但本发明同样适用于任何类型的分组数据网络。此外,尽管分组网络是广域网中最重要的,但本发明并不仅局限于分组网络,而是适用于任何数字数据网络,其中话音信号被数字化并以数字形式运送。
此外,尽管已经描述本发明为与基于连续导电媒介的网络(电话、CATV、或电源)相关,而且相关调制解调器和相关电路被并联到布线基础设施,但本发明同样适用于布线不连续,被切成离散部分的情形,本发明人的WO 00/07322就公开了这种情形,其全部内容在此作为参考。
虽然上面就有限数量的实施例描述了本发明,但应理解的是,可以对本发明做许多变化、修改和其他应用。
Claims (26)
1.一种用于连接多个模拟电话设备到互联网的网络,所述网络包括:
至少部分地在建筑物内的墙中的电话线对,所述线对被连接以同时地承载与在数字数据信号频带中承载的数字数据信号一起被频率复用的模拟电话信号频带中承载的模拟电话信号,所述数字数据信号包含数字化并且分组化的电话数据,所述数字数据信号频带不同于且高于模拟电话信号频带;
连接在所述电话线对和互联网之间的网关,所述网关用于连接电话线对和互联网之间的数字数据信号;以及
容纳在单个出口内并且连接到所述电话线对的适配器,所述适配器能够经由所述出口所包括的用于连接第一模拟电话装置的电话插口连接到第一模拟电话装置并且用于将模拟电话信号连接到第一模拟电话装置,其中数字化并且分组化的电话数据基于借助网际协议的话音,并且所述出口适合于机械附着或安装到建筑物的墙上,以及,所述出口还包括:
连接器,用于将所述出口连接到建筑物内的电话线对。
2.根据权利要求1所述的网络,其中,所述出口还工作用于连接数据装置到互联网,所述出口还包括:
用于连接所述数据装置的数据通信插口;以及
多端口集线器,所述多端口集线器用于连接所述连接器和连接所述数据通信插口,且工作用于同时连接所述适配器和连接所述数据装置。
3.根据权利要求1所述的网络,其中所述出口安装在建筑物的墙中。
4.根据权利要求1所述的网络,还用于将数据终端设备单元连接到互联网,所述出口还包括能够连接到所述数据终端设备单元并且用于将数字数据信号连接到所述数据终端设备单元的数据连接器。
5.根据权利要求1所述的网络,其中所述网关用于经由互联网连接到IP服务提供商,并且用于连接到来自所述IP服务提供商的数字数据。
6.根据权利要求1所述的网络,其中所述网关通过xDSL系统连接到互联网。
7.根据权利要求1所述的网络,其中所述适配器被容纳在电话出口内。
8.根据权利要求1所述的网络,其中独立的适配器用于连接出口内的每个电话插口。
9.根据权利要求1所述的网络,其中所述网关用于连接到IP服务提供商,以连接到来自所述IP服务提供商的数据和话音服务。
10.一种用于将模拟电话机连接到运送数字形式的话音信号的数字数据网络的出口,所述数字数据网络基于建筑物中的布线,所述出口适于机械接合到建筑物的墙壁或者安装在建筑物的墙壁中,并且包括:
连接器,用于将所述出口连接到建筑物内的布线;
电话插口,用于连接模拟电话机;以及
适配器,耦合在所述连接器与所述电话插口之间,用于在数字形式的话音信号与模拟电话信号之间进行转换,
所述出口还包括耦合到电话插口以允许连接模拟电话的低通滤波器。
11.一种用于将模拟电话机连接到运送数字形式的话音信号的数字数据网络的出口,所述数字数据网络基于建筑物中的布线,所述出口适于机械接合到建筑物的墙壁或者安装在建筑物的墙壁中,并且包括:
连接器,用于将所述出口连接到建筑物内的布线;
电话插口,用于连接模拟电话机;以及
适配器,耦合在所述连接器与所述电话插口之间,用于在数字形式的话音信号与模拟电话信号之间进行转换,
所述出口还包括综合装置,所述综合装置用于从主业务信号中分离出通过所述布线携带的数据。
12.一种用于将模拟电话机连接到运送数字形式的话音信号的数字数据网络的出口,所述数字数据网络基于建筑物中的布线,所述出口适于机械接合到建筑物的墙壁或者安装在建筑物的墙壁中,并且包括:
连接器,用于将所述出口连接到建筑物内的布线;
电话插口,用于连接模拟电话机;以及
适配器,耦合在所述连接器与所述电话插口之间,用于在数字形式的话音信号与模拟电话信号之间进行转换,
所述出口还包括综合装置,所述综合装置用于从主业务信号中分离出通过所述布线携带的数据,
其中由所述布线运送的主业务信号是通话,并且所述综合装置包括低通滤波器和高通滤波器。
13.一种用于运送数字形式的话音信号并且连接模拟电话机的网络,该网络包括布线和至少一个出口,其中所述至少一个出口包括:
连接器,用于将所述至少一个出口连接到所述布线;
电话插口,用于连接模拟电话机;以及
适配器,耦合在所述连接器与所述电话插口之间,用于将数字形式的话音信号转换成模拟电话信号,
其中所述出口还包括耦合到电话插口以允许连接模拟电话的低通滤波器。
14.一种用于运送数字形式的话音信号并且连接模拟电话机的网络,该网络包括布线和至少一个出口,其中所述至少一个出口包括:
连接器,用于将所述至少一个出口连接到所述布线;
电话插口,用于连接模拟电话机;以及
适配器,耦合在所述连接器与所述电话插口之间,用于将数字形式的话音信号转换成模拟电话信号,
所述网络还包括综合装置,所述综合装置用于从主业务信号中分离出通过所述布线携带的数据。
15.一种建筑物内的有线数字网络,用于运送数字形式的话音信号,所述网络包括布线,和至少一个机械地接合到建筑物的墙壁或者安装在建筑物的墙壁中并且连接到所述布线的出口,所述网络被配置成用于经由所述至少一个出口中包括的至少一个标准电话连接器而连接至少一个模拟电话机,其中所述布线是用于支持电话业务的电话布线,所述至少一个出口包括用于将电话业务的馈送器连接到所述出口的电话连接器,并且所述至少一个出口被配置成即使在电源故障期间也保持电话业务的生命线能力,
所述出口包括:
连接器,用于将所述出口连接到建筑物内的布线;
电话插口,用于连接模拟电话机;以及
适配器,耦合在所述连接器与所述电话插口之间,用于在数字形式的话音信号与模拟电话信号之间进行转换。
16.一种建筑物内的有线数字网络,用于运送数字形式的话音信号,所述网络包括布线,和至少一个机械地接合到建筑物的墙壁或者安装在建筑物的墙壁中并且连接到所述布线的出口,所述网络被配置成用于经由所述至少一个出口中包括的至少一个标准电话连接器而连接至少一个模拟电话机,其中所述布线是用于支持交流电源业务的电线,
所述出口包括:
连接器,用于将所述出口连接到建筑物内的布线;
电话插口,用于连接模拟电话机;以及
适配器,耦合在所述连接器与所述电话插口之间,用于在数字形式的话音信号与模拟电话信号之间进行转换。
17.一种建筑物内的有线数字网络,用于运送数字形式的话音信号,所述网络包括布线,和至少一个机械地接合到建筑物的墙壁或者安装在建筑物的墙壁中并且连接到所述布线的出口,所述网络被配置成用于经由所述至少一个出口中包括的至少一个标准电话连接器而连接至少一个模拟电话机,其中所述布线是用于支持CATV业务的CATV布线,
所述出口包括:
连接器,用于将所述出口连接到建筑物内的布线;
电话插口,用于连接模拟电话机;以及
适配器,耦合在所述连接器与所述电话插口之间,用于在数字形式的话音信号与模拟电话信号之间进行转换。
18.一种用于将安装在墙壁中的用于运送数字数据频带上的数字化模拟数据的布线耦合到能够使用模拟电话信号来连接公众交换电话网(PSTN)的数据通信设备装置(39)的出口,所述出口包括:
布线连接器(91),用于连接到所述布线;
电话插口(94),用于连接模拟电话机;
适配器(21),连接在所述布线连接器和所述电话插口之间,用于在数字形式的话音信号和模拟电话信号之间进行转换;
集成的集线器(41),允许在适配器(21)和数据插口(93)之间共享数据,以借助标准数据联网接口经由数据通信设备装置(39)连接外部设备到所述公众交换电话网;
低通滤波器,用于连接电话插口(92)以允许连接模拟电话;
传感器,用于接收分别来自所述适配器、所述集线器、所述数据通信设备装置的输入;
以及
继电器,用于从所述适配器切断电话插口并连接所述电话插口到所述低通滤波器,所述继电器的状态由传感器根据数据通信在网络上的可用性来控制。
19.一种用于将安装在墙壁中的用于运送数字数据频带上的数字化模拟数据的布线耦合到能够使用模拟电话信号来连接公众交换电话网(PSTN)的数据通信设备装置(39)的仅支持VOIP电话的出口,所述出口包括:
布线连接器(91),用于连接到所述布线;
高通滤波器,连接数据通信设备装置(39),并且用于隔离数据通信信号;
电话插口(94),用于连接模拟电话机;以及
适配器(21),连接在所述布线连接器和所述电话插口之间,用于在数字形式的话音信号和模拟电话信号之间进行转换;
其中,所述适配器直接连接到所述数据通信设备装置(39)。
20.一种具有支持生命线功能的用于将模拟电话机耦合到数字化且分组化的电话数据的出口,适合于机械附着或安装到建筑物的墙上并且用于与至少部分地在建筑物内的墙壁中的单个线对一起使用,所述线对同时运送与包含所述数字化且分组化的电话数据的数字数据信号频率复用的第一模拟电话信号,运送所述数字数据信号的数字数据信号频带不同于并且高于运送所述第一模拟电话信号的模拟信号频带,并且所述出口包括:
布线连接器(91),能够连接到所述线对;
高通滤波器(38),耦合到所述布线连接器,用以仅传递所述数字数据信号;
数据通信设备装置(39),耦合到所述高通滤波器,用以通过所述单个电话线对传导所述数字数据信号;
适配器,连接在所述布线连接器和用于连接模拟电话机的电话插口(117)之间,用于在数字形式的话音信号和模拟电话信号之间进行转换;
集线器(41),允许在适配器(21)和直接连接低通滤波器以提供全部时间的数据连接的数据插口(93)之间共享数据,以借助标准数据联网接口经由数据通信设备装置(39)连接外部设备到网络;
低通滤波器,耦合到所述布线连接器,用以仅传递所述第一模拟电话信号;
传感器,用于接收来自所述适配器、所述集线器、所述数据通信设备装置的输入以及对所述高通滤波器的输入;
继电器,用于从适配器切断电话插口(117)并连接所述电话插口到所述低通滤波器,所述继电器的状态由传感器根据数据通信在网络上的可用性来控制;
其中所述数字化且分组化的电话数据基于借助网际协议的话音;以及
其中,当网络数据通信正在运行时,继电器被触发以连接电话插口到适配器,此时电话插口经由适配器连接模拟电话机到分组电话网络,并且,当网络数据通信有任何故障或断电的情况下,所述传感器释放继电器以将电话插口转换到低通滤波器。
21.根据权利要求20所述的出口,还用于将所述模拟电话机耦合到所述第一模拟电话信号,并且所述出口还包括:
第二电话连接器,连接到所述低通滤波器并且能够连接到所述模拟电话机,用以将所述第一模拟电话信号耦合到所述模拟电话机。
22.根据权利要求20所述的出口,其中当所述传感器感测到表示没有电力被供应到所述开关的信号时,所述开关转变到生命线状态。
23.根据权利要求20所述的出口,还用于自动转变到生命线状态,并且当所述传感器检测到不能提供合适的第二模拟电话信号时将所述开关转变到所述生命线状态。
24.一种用于将模拟电话机耦合到数字化且分组化的电话数据的出口,用于与至少部分地在建筑物内的墙壁中的交流电源布线一起使用,所述布线同时运送与数字数据信号相频率复用的交流电源,所述数字数据信号包含所述数字化且分组化的电话数据,运送所述数字数据信号的频带不同于并且高于运送所述交流电源信号的交流电源信号频带,所述出口包括:
布线连接器(151),能够连接到所述交流电源布线;
综合装置(152),用于从主业务信号中分离出通过所述布线携带的数据;
电源线载波调制解调器(153),用于连接集线器(41)到综合装置(152),以及允许通过AC电源线进行数据通信;
适配器(21),耦合到所述电源线载波调制解调器并且用于在所述数字化且分组化的电话数据与第一模拟电话信号之间执行转换;
电话插口(94),能够连接到所述模拟电话机,用以将所述第一模拟电话信号耦合到所述模拟电话机;
集线器(41),允许在适配器(21)和数据插口(93)之间共享数据,以借助标准数据联网接口经由数据通信设备装置(39)连接外部设备到网络;
其中,所述布线携带的所述主业务信号是AC电源信号,而且所述综合装置适合于分割AC功率并将其馈电给插座(154)。
25.一种用于将模拟电话机耦合到数字化且分组化的电话数据的出口,用于与至少部分地在建筑物内的墙壁中的CATV布线一起使用,所述布线同时运送与数字数据信号相频率复用的CATV信号,所述数字数据信号包含所述数字化且分组化的电话数据,运送所述数字数据信号的频带不同于运送所述CATV信号的CATV信号频带,并且所述出口包括:
布线连接器,能够连接到所述CATV布线;
综合装置(152),用于从主业务信号中分离出通过所述布线携带的数据;
同轴电缆调制解调器(153),用于连接集线器(41)到综合装置(152),以及允许通过CATV布线进行数据通信;
适配器(21),耦合到所述同轴电缆调制解调器并且用于在所述数字化且分组化的电话数据与第一模拟电话信号之间执行转换;
电话插口(94),能够连接到所述模拟电话机,用以将所述第一模拟电话信号耦合到所述模拟电话机;
集线器(41),允许在适配器(21)和数据插口(93)之间共享数据,以借助标准数据联网接口经由数据通信设备装置(39)连接外部设备到网络;
其中,所述布线携带的所述主业务信号是CATV信号,而且所述综合装置适合于从所述数据信号中分离出CATV信号。
26.一种具有支持生命线功能的用于将模拟电话机耦合到数字化且分组化的电话数据的出口,用于与至少部分地在建筑物内的墙壁中的LAN布线一起使用,所述布线运送包含所述数字化且分组化的电话数据的数字数据信号,并且所述出口包括:
布线连接器(71),能够连接到所述LAN布线;
数据通信插口(73),用于连接数据通信设备装置;
集线器(31),连接所述布线连接器和连接所述数据通信插口,且工作用于同时连接适配器(21)和连接数据通信设备装置;
适配器(21),耦合到所述集线器并且用于在所述数字化且分组化的电话数据与第一模拟电话信号之间执行转换;
电话连接器(122),能够连接到所述模拟电话机,用以将所述第一模拟电话信号耦合到所述模拟电话机;
电话插口(117),能够耦合到第二模拟电话信号;
传感器,接收来自所述适配器和所述集线器的输入;
继电器(112),用于从适配器切断电话插口(117)并连接所述电话插口到所述低通滤波器,所述继电器的状态由传感器根据数据通信在网络上的可用性来控制,
其中所述数字化且分组化的电话数据基于借助网际协议的话音,以及
其中,当网络数据通信正在运行时,继电器被触发以连接电话插口(117)到适配器,此时电话插口经由适配器连接模拟电话机到分组电话网络,并且,当网络数据通信有任何故障或断电的情况下,所述传感器释放继电器以将电话插口(117)转换到电话连接器(122)。
