具体实施方式
参考附图,其中相同的数字指示相同的元件,在图1中示出了包括键盘12以及显示图像16的监视器14的计算装置10。计算装置10还可包括任意数量的未示出的其它部件,例如鼠标、打印机和类似部件。外部玩具20可经由接口22被运转地耦合到计算装置10。接口22可以是有线(例如USB或串口)或无线(例如蓝牙、RFID、红外)的连接。

如图4所示,用户可以将一个或多个便携式游戏卡30安装到外接玩具20的表面28上。集成读卡器26可读取游戏卡30的表面(例如游戏卡30的背面上,如图6可见)上的标记32,以获得与游戏卡30有关的识别信息。CPU29可配置成从集成读卡器26接收游戏卡识别信息,并通过接口22将指令传达给计算装置10,以提供与所接收的识别信息有关的输出。
在某些实施例中,关于游戏卡30的识别信息可包括与卡30上所示的角色34有关的信息。将游戏卡30放置在表面28上可致使CPU29命令计算装置10在计算机监视器14上输出看起来类似于角色34或与角色34有关的图像16(见图1)。用户可以通过操纵外接玩具20上的控制器,致使CPU29经由接口22向计算装置10发送控制信号,来用外接玩具20控制监视器14上的图像16。
尽管可实现许多种从游戏卡30读取数据的方法(例如USB、串口、存储卡、条形码(barcode)、RFID),在示例性实施例中,集成读卡器26的每个传感器被配置成光学读取卡30上的标记32的单个部分,以确定关于卡30的信息。例如,在图2和图3中所示的示例集成读卡器26包括五个传感器,代表五个二进制数字,从而允许31种数列(permutation)或离散的卡标识。尽管图2中显示最低有效位在右边,这并非意图进行限制,并且应该明白的是集成读卡器26中的传感器可以排列成任意顺序。

图8说明了用于监测电容性触摸表面42的电容,从而监视电容性触摸表面42是否被触摸的示例电路逻辑。反复性地,电容性触摸表面42被充电,至少直到其电压达到预定阈值为止,并且在每种情况下达到预定充电阈值需要的时间被测量。电容性触摸表面42被连接到电源Vcc。脉冲发生器或时钟44向逻辑-控制开关46生成脉冲,并在多种情况下生成定时脉冲,以定义循环间隔。该脉冲还被提供给计时器48。逻辑-控制开关46可以是微片、ASIC或其它类似的电路,并且可被配置成打开和关闭电容性触摸表面42和接地50之间的连接,以更改电容性触摸表面42的电压。
与接地50的连接使电容性触摸表面42迅速放电,尤其是在电容性触摸表面42和接地50之间存在的阻抗从几乎没有到完全没有时。然而,正如将在下面描述的其它实施例中可见的,在电容性触摸表面42和接地50之间可包括电阻,以使电容性触摸表面42的放电较为缓慢。
峰值电平检测器52被耦合到电容性触摸表面42,并被配置成检测和向计时器48指示何时电容性触摸表面42的电压达到阈值电压(图9中的虚线A指示)。因此,计时器48可被配置成记录或测量将电容性触摸表面42充电到阈值电压所需要的时间。计时器48可基于脉冲发生器44的输出被启动(例如在每个间隔T的开始处,间隔T典型地为时间间隔),并根据峰值电平检测器52的指令停止(即,当达到阈值电压时)。当计时器48停止时,可将测量时间存储在寄存器54中,并且测量时间可被添加到累加器56中包含的记录时间的总和中。
计时器48可在预定数目的间隔期间,或换言之,在一个采样期间测量时间。周期计数器58可跟踪间隔,以便控制采样尺寸。例如,如果采样尺寸为X个间隔T,周期计数器58递增X次,在此期间时间累加器56累加X个来自计时器48的测得的充电时间。一旦X个周期过去,采样完成。
一旦采样完成,累加器56中的总数值可被存储,并且累加器56可被重置为零。通过使用整体在59处示出的控制电路实现逻辑,于是可将来自累加器56的总数值与预定值或阈值Y比较。如果在阈值Y以上(或在相同情况下大于或等于阈值Y),则可判定为在路径A中,即在采样期间电容性触摸表面42正在被触摸。如果所存储的累加器值在阈值Y以下,则可判定为在路径B中,即在采样期间电容性触摸表面42未被触摸。
在图9中以图形绘示了图8中所示的电路逻辑的示例结果。在标注有“TOUCH”的顶部图形中示出电容性触摸表面42正在被触摸的采样。因为电容性触摸表面42正在被触摸,其电容较高。因此,将电容性触摸表面42充电到由虚线A指示的阈值电压可能需要更多的间隔,例如2/3个间隔T。
在标注有“NO TOUCH”的图9底部图形中示出电容性触摸表面42未被触摸的示例。因为未被触摸时电容性触摸表面42的电容较低,将电容性触摸表面42充电到由虚线A指示的阈值电压可能需要较少的间隔,例如只有1/3个间隔T。
继续参考图8的逻辑并还参考图9,对于每个间隔T,当电容性触摸表面42正在被触摸时,2/3被添加到累加器56,而当电容性触摸表面42未被触摸时,1/3被添加到累加器56。假设采样尺寸为9个间隔T(在图9中只示出7个间隔),如果累加器56中的总和大于或等于预定值(例如6),则电容性触摸表面42可被看作在该采样中被触摸。在这样的情况下,实现在59处整体指示的逻辑的控制电路,该控制电路可包括在此描述的部件中的一个或多个,可产生指示电容性触摸表面42被触摸的信号。同样地,如果累加器56中的总和小于预定值(例如小于6),则电容性触摸表面42可被看作在该采样中未被触摸,并且控制电路可产生指示未被触摸的信号。
在每个间隔T的结尾和/或下一个间隔T+1的开始,紧接在被再次充电之前,电容性触摸表面42的充电可停止并且电容性触摸表面42可被连接到接地50以对其电压进行放电。这在电容性触摸表面42的充电之间产生时间间断,使得采样可通过使用示波器来轻松地观察。这还使得对电容性触摸表面42是否正在被触摸的判定完全独立于信号的任何频率,因为来自时钟44的循环间隔确保了恒定的频率。
图10中绘示了备选的电路逻辑。除了代替测量将电容性触摸表面42充电到阈值电压所需的时间以外,该实施例类似于图8中所示的实施例,该实施例测量将电容性触摸表面42放电到阈值电压所需的时间。
在每个间隔T的开始和紧接在电容性触摸表面42正被放电之前,计时器48被设置成零,并且逻辑-控制开关46将电容性触摸表面42连接到电源Vcc上持续预定时间量或直至达到预定的充电(在图11中标注为B)。一旦电容性触摸表面42被充电,逻辑-控制开关46将电容性触摸表面42从电源Vcc上断开,使得电容性触摸板42的电压通过放电电阻器被逐步放电。
在图10中,零电平检测器60被连接到电容性触摸表面42,以检测电容性触摸表面42的电压何时下降到零。这种情况一旦发生,零电平检测器60命令计时器48停止。因此,通过计时器48测量的时间就是需要对电容性触摸表面42进行充电所需的时间加上将电容性触摸表面42的电压放电到零所需的时间。正如上面的情况,在采样中所测量时间的总数被累加到累加器56中。剩余逻辑可与图8中示出的一致。尽管在图10中示出了零电平检测器60,指示预定阈值的值为零,应该明白的是也可选择其它非零的预定阈值的值。

假设采样尺寸为5个间隔T,在累加器56中累加的时间量可与阈值Y=2.5相比较。如果累加时间大于或等于2.5(1/2×5=2.5),则可判定电容性触摸表面42正在被触摸。在这种情况下,实现在59处指示的逻辑的控制电路可产生指示电容性触摸表面42正在被触摸的信号。如果累加时间小于2.5(1/4×5=1.25),则可判定电容性触摸表面42未被触摸,并且控制电路可产生指示未被触摸的信号。应理解,累加时间与之进行比较的阈值可以被向上或向下调节,分别会减少或增加电容性触摸表面42的灵敏度。

1.一种电容性触摸板组件,包括:
电容性触摸表面;
脉冲发生器,被配置成提供定义循环间隔的脉冲;
逻辑-控制开关,用于在每个间隔期间改变所述电容性触摸表面的电压,直至所述电容性触摸表面的电压达到阈值电压;
计时器,被配置成测量所述电容性触摸表面的电压在每个间隔中达到所述阈值电压需要的时间;
累加器,被配置成在预定数目的间隔期间累加由所述计时器测量的时间;以及
控制电路,被配置成在累加时间大于预定值时产生指示所述电容性触摸表面正在被触摸的信号。
2.如权利要求1所述的电容性触摸板组件,其中改变所述电容性触摸表面的电压包括对所述电容性触摸表面进行充电至少直至所述电容性触摸表面的电压升高到所述阈值电压。
3.如权利要求2所述的电容性触摸板组件,其中改变所述电容性触摸表面的电压进一步包括在每个间隔开始处紧接在对所述电容性触摸表面进行充电之前对所述电容性触摸表面进行放电。
4.如权利要求1所述的电容性触摸板组件,其中改变所述电容性触摸表面的电压包括对所述电容性触摸表面进行放电,至少直至所述电容性触摸表面的电压下降到所述阈值电压。
5.如权利要求4所述的电容性触摸板组件,其中所述阈值电压为零。
6.如权利要求4所述的电容性触摸板组件,进一步包括电阻器,通过该电阻器所述电容性触摸表面的电压被逐步地放电。
7.如权利要求4所述的电容性触摸板组件,其中改变所述电容性触摸表面的电压进一步包括在每个间隔开始处紧接在对所述电容性触摸表面进行放电之前对所述电容性触摸表面进行充电。
8.一种计算机外接玩具,其结合了如权利要求1所述的电容性触摸板组件,并且进一步包括:
外壳,具有适用于接纳游戏卡的表面;
读取器,被配置成从放置在所述表面上的游戏卡读取关于该游戏卡的识别信息;
接口,其在玩具和计算装置之间;以及
控制器,被配置成:
从所述读取器接收关于放置在所述表面上的游戏卡的识别信息;并且
通过所述接口将指令传送给所述计算装置,以致使所述计算装置提供关于所接收的识别信息的输出;
其中所述电容性触摸表面形成在适用于接纳游戏卡的表面上,并且所述电容性触摸表面被配置成通过所述游戏卡检测触摸。
9.一种检测与电容性触摸表面的接触的方法,包括:
提供脉冲以定义循环间隔;
在每个间隔期间改变所述电容性触摸表面的电压直至所述电容性触摸表面的电压达到阈值电压;
测量在每个间隔期间所述电容性触摸表面的电压达到所述阈值电压所需要的时间;
累加在预定数目的间隔期间测量的时间;并且
在累加时间大于预定值时,指示所述电容性触摸表面正在被接触。
10.如权利要求9所述的方法,其中改变所述电容性接触表面的电压包括对所述电容性接触表面进行充电,至少直至所述电容性接触表面的电压上升到所述阈值电压。
11.如权利要求10所述的方法,其中改变所述电容性触摸表面的电压进一步包括在每个间隔开始处紧接在对所述电容性触摸表面进行充电之前对所述电容性触摸表面进行放电。
12.如权利要求9所述的方法,其中改变所述电容性触摸表面的电压包括对所述电容性触摸表面进行放电,至少直至所述电容性触摸表面的电压下降到所述阈值电压。
13.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中所述阈值电压为零。
14.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中对所述电容性触摸表面进行放电包括通过电阻器对所述电容性触摸表面逐步地放电。
15.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中改变所述电容性触摸表面的电压进一步包括在每个间隔开始处紧接在对所述电容性触摸表面进行放电之前对所述电容性触摸表面进行充电。
16.一种电容性触摸板组件,包括:
电容性触摸板;
时钟,被配置成提供循环的时间间隔;
控制电路,被配置成在预定数目的时间间隔中执行以下步骤:
改变所述电容性触摸板的电压,直至所述电容性触摸板的电压达到阈值电压;
测量所述电容性触摸板的电压达到所述阈值电压需要的时间;
累加测量时间;
其中在预定数目的时间间隔完结时,所述控制电路进一步配置成在累加时间大于阈值时指示与所述电容性触摸板的接触。
17.如权利要求16所述的电容性触摸板组件,其中改变所述电容性触摸板的电压包括对所述电容性触摸板进行充电,直至所述电容性触摸板的电压上升到所述阈值电压。
18.如权利要求17所述的电容性触摸板组件,其中改变所述电容性触摸板的电压进一步包括在每个时间间隔的开始处紧接在对所述电容性触摸板进行充电之前对所述电容性触摸板进行放电。
19.如权利要求16所述的电容性触摸板组件,其中改变所述电容性触摸板的电压包括对所述电容性触摸板进行放电,直至所述电容性触摸板的电压下降到所述阈值电压。
20.如权利要求19所述的电容性触摸板组件,其中改变所述电容性触摸板的电压进一步包括在每个时间间隔的开始处紧接在对所述电容性触摸板进行放电之前对所述电容性触摸板进行充电。
