Abstract

本发明揭示了一种电连接器,该电连接器包括基座(1)、固定于基座的第一端子(2)及第二端子(3),基座具有对接面(101)及安装面(102);第一端子为金属片,其包括固定部(21)及自固定部延伸的弹性臂(22),弹性臂上设有接触点(221),该接触点形成一垂直对接面的插接方向;第二端子为柱状体,其包括垂直于对接面的接触部(311)。互相垂直排列的第一、第二端子不仅使得电连接器结构低矮,而且方便互接时的插拔。

【技术领域】
本发明涉及电连接器。
【背景技术】
板对板连接器在目前的电气系统中得到广泛应用,在电气系统中电气元件,比如中央处理器或者其他元件被安装在印刷电路板上,并由电路板上的线路连接,而两块印刷电路板则由我们熟悉的板对板电连接器达成连接。目前比较习知或者典型的板对板连接器如美国专利公告第5639248号所揭示的互相配合的公母连接器,若干导电端子沿着连接器的纵长方向排列,每根导电端子沿着公母连接器的对接方向延伸。作为连接器的改进,公母同体的电连接器也出现了,比如美国第5,161,985号所揭示的连接器,该种连接器的公母结构一样,在制造过程中,这种连接器有着很重要的优势,就是只要开发出一套模具就能生产公母连接器,比较适合大量生产。然上述两种类型的连接器具有一定的高度。
另外,美国专利公告第5575674号也揭示了一种公母同体的电连接器,该电连接器的导电端子采用了水平延伸的形态,端子的对接方向平行于对接面。但我们也可发现,该两连接器之间的配合本身没有固定力,需要借助螺母跟螺栓才能完成配合,这种电连接器不适用目前电连接器小型化及方便插拔的要求。
【发明内容】
本发明的目的在于提供一种低构形且方便插拔的电连接器。
为实现上述目的,本发明可采用如下技术方案:一种电连接器,包括基座、固定于基座的第一端子及第二端子,基座具有对接面及安装面;第一端子为金属片,其包括固定部及自固定部延伸的弹性臂,弹性臂上设有接触点,该接触点形成一垂直于对接面的插接方向;第二端子为柱状体,其包括垂直于对接面的接触部。
相较于现有技术,本发明垂直排列的第一、第二端子不仅使得电连接器结构低矮,而且方便插拔。

【具体实施方式】
下面结合图面详细描述本发明。
请参阅图1所示,本发明介绍了一种公母同体的电连接器100a,100b,两电连接器分别安装在电路板上(未图示),互相配合完成两电路板的电性连接。因两电连接器结构一样,所以采用相同的标号且在具体描述零部件时不再分开介绍。
参阅图2及图3,电连接器包括一呈板状的矩形绝缘基座1,该基座的上表面为对接面101,下表面为安装面102。自对接面向下凹陷形成较浅的若干矩形收容槽11,该等收容槽11沿第一方向(即基座的纵长方向)排列,每一单独的收容槽11由四个侧壁围绕形成,为纵长矩形状,其延伸方向则为垂直第一方向的第二方向,收容槽的底面110在靠近沿第二方向的一侧壁111a处向对接面101侧垂直凸伸出矩形的定位柱12,该定位柱12的尺寸较收容槽的尺寸小,其两侧均未跟收容槽的四个侧壁接触。定位柱12的中间设有贯穿对接面101及安装面102的固定孔121。上述侧壁111a设有一贯穿对接面及安装面的缺口112。底面110在相对定位柱的另一侧设有贯穿安装面的容纳孔113。定位柱的上表面跟对接面101位于同一平面上(图4清楚可见),当然,定位柱亦可再短些,使得定位柱未凸伸出对接面101即可。
第一端子2由金属片冲压弯折形成,其包括呈框状的固持部21,固持部21的中间设有通孔211,外侧则设有凸刺212。固持部的一侧延伸出一对弹性臂22,两弹性臂的末端设有面对的弧形突出部,而形成接触点221。固持部的相对另一侧则延伸出先向下再水平弯折的焊接部23。第一端子2自对接面101垂直安装入收容槽11,固持部的通孔211套接在定位柱12上,固持部两侧的凸刺212则干涉固定在收容槽的两侧壁上。第一端子的固持部21及弹性臂22紧贴在收容槽的底面110上,两接触点221则位于容纳槽113的上侧。焊接部23则穿过缺口112而延伸出基座的侧壁的外侧面。该两接触点之间形成一垂直对接面的插接方向。
第二端子3为矩形柱状体,其包括水平的焊接部32及与之垂直的垂直部31。第二端子自安装面插入,焊接脚32位于安装面上的与固定孔121连通的固定槽13内,焊接部的底面可适当地突出安装面以用于焊接。垂直部31则穿过固定孔121而凸露于固定孔121的上表面,垂直部31凸露出固定孔的部分形成接触部311,接触部凸伸出对接面,接触部的自由末端为锥形的导引部312。
结合图4,上述两同样的连接器可完成公母配对,第二端子的接触部311则穿过第一端子的两弹性臂22之间,并跟接触点221接触;同时接触部311的前端插入容纳槽113内。本发明的同一电连接器可自己完成互配,节省模具的开发。两互配的连接器在对接方向上具有固持力,连接器自身具有插拔力,有利于连接器之间的结合,更甚者,可省略如现有技术中两连接器之间的锁扣结构。

Claims (10)

1.一种电连接器,包括基座、固定于基座的第一端子及第二端子,基座具有对接面及安装面;第一端子为金属片,其包括固持部及自固持部延伸的弹性臂,弹性臂上设有接触点,该接触点形成一垂直对接面的插接方向;其特征在于:第二端子为柱状体,其包括垂直于对接面的接触部,基座设有自对接面凹陷的收容槽,第一端子平铺在收容槽的底面上,第二端子穿过收容槽的底面且其接触部凸伸出对接面。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:第一端子的固持部固定于收容槽的一端,接触点则延伸至收容槽的另一端,第二端子则临近第一端子的固持部。
3.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:收容槽的底面设有向安装面凹陷的容纳孔,该容纳孔跟另一对接的所述电连接器的第二端子的接触部对应。
4.如权利要求3所述的电连接器,其特征在于:第一端子的固持部固定于收容槽的一端,接触点则延伸至收容槽的另一端,第二端子则临近第一端子的固持部。
5.如权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于:固持部的中间设有通孔,收容槽在对应位置设有自底面凸伸的定位柱,通孔套设在定位柱上;定位柱的中间设有固定孔,第二端子固定在固定孔且其接触部凸伸出固定孔。
6.如权利要求5的电连接器,其特征在于:定位柱未凸伸出对接面。
7.如权利要求5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:第一端子的接触点对准容纳孔。
8.如权利要求5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:第二端子的接触部跟第一端子的接触点位于同一直线上。
9.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:第一端子的焊接部穿过基座一侧壁设有的缺口,且延伸出基座外侧;第二端子设有焊接部,该焊接部收容在安装面凹陷的收容槽内。
10.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:电连接器设有若干个上述收容槽,该等收容槽沿第一方向排列且每一收容槽沿垂直于第一方向的第二方向延伸;若干第一端子的接触点位于收容槽沿第二方向的一端,若干第二端子的接触部位于收容槽沿第二方向的另一端。
