技术领域
本公开案的技术涉及光纤模块和用以支撑和管理光纤连接的相关光纤设备。
背景技术

底架94可支撑多达三(3)个光纤设备托盘70。然而,由于堆叠光纤模块10、堆叠光纤模块10'消耗的额外空间,所以提供在底架94中的光纤设备托盘70中的仅一个光纤设备托盘70可支撑堆叠光纤模块10、堆叠光纤模块10'。就这点来说,如果包括堆叠光纤模块10、堆叠光纤模块10',那么两(2)个所述光纤设备托盘70可提供在底架94中。在此情况下,支撑在底架94中的一个光纤设备托盘70可含有堆叠光纤模块10、堆叠光纤模块10',且第二光纤设备托盘70可支撑非堆叠光纤模块10、10',所述非堆叠光纤模块10、10'具有堆叠光纤模块10、10'(图1到图7C)的子主体30、子主体32中的一个子主体的高度。在任何所述配置中并未减少可由底架94支持的光纤连接的总数。
除1-U外的底架尺寸是可能的。举例来说,图12A和图12B是替代的示例性4-U尺寸底架100的前透视图,所述4-U尺寸底架可支撑图8到图10的光纤设备托盘70,所述光纤设备托盘70支撑堆叠光纤模块10、堆叠光纤模块10'。底架100为4-U尺寸底架并配置为保持光纤设备托盘70,每一光纤设备托盘70支撑一或多个堆叠光纤模块10、10'。可将先前关于图8到图10描述的光纤设备托盘70的托盘导轨88插入到设置在底架100中的托盘轨道引导件102(图12B)中,以允许每一光纤设备托盘70单独从底架100延伸出来并缩回底架中,如图13中所图示。前门104被附接到底架100且前门104配置为包围底架100以固定设置在底架100中的光纤设备托盘70。如图12A中所图示,封盖108也附接到底架100以固定光纤设备托盘70。图12B图示移除了封盖108的底架100。
底架100可支撑多达十二(12)个光纤设备托盘70。然而,如果由于堆叠光纤模块10、10'消耗的额外空间,光纤设备托盘70支撑堆叠光纤模块10、10',那么如果全部六(6)个所述光纤设备托盘70支撑堆叠光纤模块10、10',六(6)个所述光纤设备托盘70则可提供在底架100中。设置在底架100中、包括至少一个堆叠光纤模块10、10'的每一光纤设备托盘70将可由底架100支撑的光纤设备托盘70的总数减少到两(2)个。然而,在任何所述配置中并未减少可由底架100支持的光纤连接的总数。
图14图示可支撑光纤设备托盘70的替代的示例性光纤设备,所述光纤设备托盘70可支撑堆叠光纤模块10、堆叠光纤模块10'。就这点来说,图14图示光纤设备抽屉110(本文中也称为“抽屉110”)的前透视图,所述光纤设备抽屉110安装在底架112中并支撑光纤设备托盘70,所述光纤设备托盘70支撑堆叠光纤模块10、堆叠光纤模块10'。图15是图14的近视图。
底架112包括支撑一或多个可延伸光纤设备托盘70的抽屉110。不论抽屉110是否是从底架112延伸出来或向下倾斜,由抽屉110支撑的每一光纤设备托盘70都可单独地从抽屉110平移,如图16中所图示。光纤设备托盘70可从抽屉110移动和延伸,并缩回抽屉110中。可提供任何数量的光纤设备托盘70。每一光纤设备托盘70支撑一或多个堆叠光纤模块10、10'。抽屉110可从底架112延伸出来以允许对光纤设备托盘70和支撑在所述光纤设备托盘70中的堆叠光纤模块10、10'的改进的存取。
底架112为1-U尺寸底架并配置为保持光纤设备托盘70,每一光纤设备托盘70支撑一或多个堆叠光纤模块10、10'。如图15和图16中所图示,可将先前关于图8到图10描述的光纤设备托盘70的托盘导轨88插入到设置在抽屉110中的托盘轨道引导件114中,以允许每一光纤设备托盘70单独从抽屉110延伸出来并缩回抽屉110中。前门116被附接到抽屉110,且前门116配置为包围抽屉110以固定光纤设备托盘70和设置在抽屉110中的所述光纤设备托盘70中的光纤模块。
在图14中的抽屉110的实例中,支撑一(1)个光纤设备托盘70。此是因为尽管抽屉110可支撑多达两(2)个光纤设备托盘70,但堆叠光纤模块10、10'消耗第二光纤设备托盘70所需的空间。如果仅支撑非堆叠光纤模块,那么可在底架中112支撑两(2)个光纤设备托盘70。然而,由抽屉110支持的光纤连接的数量并未减少。
得益于前文描述及相关联图式中呈现的教示的本发明所属领域的技术人员将想到本文中阐述的许多修改及其他实施方式。所述修改包括但不限于提供在堆叠光纤模块中的光纤组件的数量和类型、堆叠光纤模块的主体或子主体的配置和/或对准、光纤设备的数量或类型、光纤模块的数量和类型、光纤设备托盘的数量和类型及光纤设备托盘中所包括的特征。包括但不限于1-U、2-U和4-U尺寸的任何尺寸的设备可包括一些或所有上述特征和本文中所公开的光纤模块及所述光纤模块的一些或所有特征。进一步地,修改并不限于光纤设备的类型或用以支撑安装在光纤设备托盘中的光纤模块的手段或装置。光纤模块可包括任何光纤连接类型(包括但不限于光纤连接器和适配器)和光纤连接的数量、密度等等。
进一步地,如本文中所使用,意在使术语“光纤电缆”和/或“光纤”包括所有类型的单模光波导和多模光波导,所述单模光波导和多模光波导包括一或多个光纤,所述一或多个光纤可经上涂覆、着色、缓冲、条带化及/或所述一或多个光纤可能在电缆中具有其他组织或保护结构,例如一或多个管、强度部件、护套等。同样地,其他类型的合适的光纤包括弯曲不敏感的光纤或用于传输光信号的任何其他有利的介质。弯曲不敏感或抗弯光纤的实例为可购自Corning Incorporated的多模光纤。例如在美国专利申请公开案第2008/0166094号和第2009/0169163号中公开所述类型的合适的光纤。
因此,应了解,实施方式不受限于所公开的特定实施方式,且希望修改和其他实施方式包括在所附权利要求书的范围内。如果本发明的修改和变化在所附权利要求书及所附权利要求书的均等物的范围内,那么希望实施方式涵盖所述修改和变化。尽管在本文中使用特定术语,但所述特定术语仅用于一般及描述意义且不用于限制目的。
Claims (30)
1.一种堆叠光纤模块,所述堆叠光纤模块包含:
主体,所述主体具有至少一个前侧和至少一个后侧并定义设置在所述至少一个前侧与所述至少一个后侧之间的至少一个内腔室,且所述主体由第一子主体和第二子主体组成,其中所述第二子主体可相对于所述第一子主体平移;
第一多个光纤组件,所述第一多个光纤组件沿第一纵轴设置在所述第一子主体的所述至少一个前侧中;和
第二多个光纤组件,所述第二多个光纤组件沿平行或实质上平行于所述第一纵轴的第二纵轴设置在所述第二子主体的所述至少一个前侧中与所述第一多个光纤组件相邻。
2.如权利要求1所述的堆叠光纤模块,其中所述第二子主体的所述前侧可平移超多所述第一子主体的所述前侧约10毫米的距离,或反之亦然。
3.如权利要求1所述的堆叠光纤模块,其中所述第一多个光纤组件配置为设置在与所述第二多个光纤组件不同的平面中。
4.如权利要求1所述的堆叠光纤模块,其中所述第一多个光纤组件设置在第一前开口中,所述第一前开口沿所述第一纵轴设置在所述主体的所述至少一个前侧中。
5.如权利要求4所述的堆叠光纤模块,其中所述第二多个光纤组件设置在第二前开口中,所述第二前开口沿所述第二纵轴设置在所述主体的所述至少一个前侧中。
6.如权利要求5所述的堆叠光纤模块,其中所述第一前开口配置为设置在与所述第二前开口相同的平面或实质上相同的平面中。
7.如权利要求1所述的堆叠光纤模块,所述堆叠光纤模块进一步包含至少一个光纤线束,所述至少一个光纤线束设置在所述至少一个内腔室中且连接到所述第一多个光纤组件或所述第二多个光纤组件中的至少一者。
8.如权利要求1所述的堆叠光纤模块,其中提供所述第一子主体和所述第二子主体作为独立主体,其中所述第二子主体配置为啮合到所述第一子主体以将所述第二子主体固定到所述第一子主体。
9.如权利要求1所述的堆叠光纤模块,所述堆叠光纤模块进一步包含至少一个锁定片,所述至少一个锁定片设置在所述第二子主体中并配置为与设置在所述第一子主体中的至少一个轨道啮合以将所述第二子主体固定到所述第一子主体。
10.如权利要求9所述的堆叠光纤模块,其中所述至少一个锁定片配置为关于所述至少一个轨道平移以允许所述第二子主体关于所述第一子主体平移。
11.如权利要求1所述的堆叠光纤模块,所述堆叠光纤模块进一步包含至少一个轨道,所述至少一个轨道设置在所述第一子主体或所述第二子主体上,且配置为收纳在至少一个引导部件内。
12.如权利要求1所述的堆叠光纤模块,所述堆叠光纤模块进一步包含封盖,所述封盖设置在所述第一子主体或所述第二子主体中。
13.如权利要求1所述的堆叠光纤模块,所述堆叠光纤模块进一步包含至少一个光纤组件,所述至少一个光纤组件穿过所述主体的所述至少一个后侧而设置,并连接到所述第一多个光纤组件和所述第二多个光纤组件中的至少一者中的至少一个光纤组件。
14.如权利要求1所述的堆叠光纤模块,其中所述第一多个光纤组件由第一多个光纤连接器或第一多个光纤适配器组成,且所述第二多个光纤组件由第二多个光纤连接器或第二多个光纤适配器组成。
15.如权利要求1所述的堆叠光纤模块,所述堆叠光纤模块进一步包含至少一个轨道,所述至少一个轨道设置在所述主体上配置为收纳在至少一个引导部件内。
16.如权利要求15所述的堆叠光纤模块,所述堆叠光纤模块进一步包含至少一个闩锁,所述至少一个闩锁附接到所述至少一个轨道且配置为啮合所述至少一个引导部件。
17.如权利要求1所述的堆叠光纤模块,所述堆叠光纤模块设置在由光纤底架和光纤设备抽屉组成的群组所组成的光纤设备中。
18.如权利要求5所述的堆叠光纤模块,其中:
所述第一多个光纤组件由设置在九十(90)mm或更小的宽度的所述第一前开口中的至少十二(12)个光纤连接组成;且
所述第二多个光纤组件由设置在九十(90)mm或更小的宽度的所述第二前开口中的至少十二(12)个光纤连接组成。
19.如权利要求5所述的堆叠光纤模块,其中:
所述第一前开口配置为每7.0mm宽度的所述第一前开口支持光纤连接密度的至少一个光纤连接;且
所述第二前开口配置为每7.0mm宽度的所述第二前开口支持光纤连接密度的至少一个光纤连接。
20.一种光纤设备托盘,所述光纤设备托盘包含:
至少一个模块引导件,所述至少一个模块引导件配置为收纳可关于所述至少一个模块引导件移动的至少一个堆叠光纤模块;且
其中所述至少一个堆叠光纤模块设置在所述至少一个模块引导件中。
21.一种光纤装置,所述光纤装置包含:
底架;
至少一个托盘引导件,所述至少一个托盘引导件设置在所述底架中且配置为收纳可关于所述底架移动的至少一个光纤设备托盘;及
至少一个模块引导件,所述至少一个模块引导件设置在所述至少一个光纤设备托盘中且配置为收纳可关于所述至少一个模块引导件移动的至少一个堆叠光纤模块。
22.如权利要求21所述的光纤装置,其中:
所述至少一个托盘引导件由提供在所述底架中的1-U空间中的第一托盘引导件和第二托盘引导件组成;
所述至少一个光纤设备托盘由收纳在所述第一托盘引导件中的第一光纤设备托盘和收纳在所述第二托盘引导件中的第二光纤设备托盘组成;
所述至少一个模块引导件由设置在第一光纤设备托盘中的第一模块引导件和设置在所述第二光纤设备托盘中的第二模块引导件组成;且
所述第一模块引导件收纳至少一个堆叠光纤模块且所述第二模块引导件收纳至少一个非堆叠光纤模块。
23.如权利要求21所述的光纤装置,其中:
所述至少一个托盘引导件由提供在所述底架中的4-U空间中的至少六(6)个托盘引导件组成;
所述至少一个光纤设备托盘由在收纳在所述六(6)个托盘引导件中的至少六(6)个光纤设备托盘组成;
所述至少一个模块引导件由设置在所述至少六(6)个光纤设备托盘中的至少六(6)个模块引导件组成;且
所述至少六(6)个模块引导件每一者收纳至少一个堆叠光纤模块。
24.一种光纤装置,所述光纤装置包含:
可关于底架移动的抽屉;
至少一个托盘引导件,所述至少一个托盘引导件设置在所述抽屉中且配置为收纳可关于所述抽屉移动的至少一个光纤设备托盘;及
至少一个模块引导件,所述至少一个模块引导件设置在所述至少一个光纤设备托盘中且配置为收纳可关于所述至少一个模块引导件移动的至少一个堆叠光纤模块。
25.如权利要求24所述的光纤装置,其中所述抽屉配置为关于所述底架倾斜。
26.如权利要求24所述的光纤装置,其中:
所述至少一个托盘引导件由提供在所述抽屉中的1-U空间中的第一托盘引导件和第二托盘引导件组成;
所述至少一个光纤设备托盘由收纳在所述第一托盘引导件中的第一光纤设备托盘和收纳在所述第二托盘引导件中的第二光纤设备托盘组成;
所述至少一个模块引导件由设置在所述第一光纤设备托盘中的第一模块引导件和设置在所述第二光纤设备托盘中的第二模块引导件组成;且
所述第一模块引导件收纳至少一个堆叠光纤模块且所述第二模块引导件收纳至少一个堆叠光纤模块。
27.一种形成堆叠光纤模块的方法,所述方法包含:
提供主体,所述主体具有至少一个前侧和至少一个后侧并定义设置在所述至少一个前侧与所述至少一个后侧之间的至少一个内腔室,且所述主体由第一子主体和第二子主体组成,其中所述第二子主体可相对于所述第一子主体平移;
沿第一纵轴将第一多个光纤组件设置在所述第一子主体的所述至少一个前侧中;和
沿平行或实质上平行于所述第一纵轴的第二纵轴将第二多个光纤组件设置在所述第二子主体的所述至少一个前侧中与所述第一多个光纤组件相邻。
28.如权利要求18所述的方法,其中所述第二子主体的所述前侧可平移超过所述第一子主体的所述前侧约10毫米的距离,或反之亦然。
29.一种操作堆叠光纤模块的方法,所述方法包含:
将至少一个模块引导件配置为收纳至少一个所述堆叠光纤模块;及
将所述至少一个堆叠光纤模块设置在所述至少一个模块引导件中,其中所述堆叠光纤模块中的所述至少一个堆叠光纤模块可关于所述至少一个模块引导件移动。
30.如权利要求29所述的方法,所述方法进一步包含:
将所述至少一个模块引导件设置在所述至少一个光纤设备托盘中,其中所述至少一个堆叠光纤模块可关于所述至少一个光纤设备托盘移动;及
提供设置在底架中的至少一个托盘引导件,其中所述至少一个光纤设备托盘可关于所述底架移动。
