Abstract

Description
背景技术
数据存储设备诸如磁盘驱动器包括磁盘和连接到致动器臂远端的磁头，所述致动器臂通过音圈马达(VCM)绕枢轴转动以在磁盘上方径向定位磁头。磁盘包括多个径向间隔的同心磁道，用于记录用户数据扇区和伺服扇区。伺服扇区包括磁头定位信息(例如，磁道地址)，所述磁头定位信息由磁头读取并且由伺服控制系统处理以便当致动器臂逐个磁道寻址时控制致动器臂。

在图3中示出的一个实施例中，数据磁道可以被叠瓦写入(shinglewritten)，以便增加数据磁道的径向密度，从而增加磁盘驱动器的容量。通过叠瓦写入，数据磁道以交叠的方式被写入，使得先前写入的数据磁道可以部分地被新写入的数据磁道重写(overwritten)。图3还示出了在其中数据磁道可以以蝶形(butterfly)模式被写入的实施例，所述蝶形模式意味着数据磁道的第一径向带从磁盘的外直径(OD)向磁盘的内直径(ID)写入，并且数据磁道的第二径向带从磁盘的ID向磁盘的OD写入。在一个实施例中，保护带48可以被定义包括在蝶形模式中心处的数据磁道中的至少一个，其保持未使用，因为该数据磁道可以在两个径向方向上被重写。

图5示出示例实施例，其中磁盘18可以在数据磁道的两个径向带上方蝶形写入，包括从磁盘的OD到中间直径(MD)的第一径向带叠瓦写入和从磁盘的ID到MD的第二径向带叠瓦写入。第一微动轮廓可以针对数据磁道的第一径向带而被校正，并且第二微动轮廓可以针对数据磁道的第二径向带而被校正。在一个实施例中，微动值可以使用任何合适的技术在数据磁道的每个径向带内的多个径向位置处而被测量，并且所得的(resulting)数据点曲线拟合成合适的函数，比如表示跨越径向带的微动轮廓的多项式。在正常操作期间，微动值可以使用目标径向位置基于微动轮廓而产生作为轮廓函数的输入。在图5示出的示例中，所得的第一微动轮廓在第一径向带和第二径向带之间的过渡处(即，在蝶形模式的枢轴点处)可以偏离于所得的第二微动轮廓Δ66(参考以上图4A和图4B所描述的)。
图6A示出使用上述的蝶形写入模式而被叠瓦写入的磁盘18(即，从OD至MD叠瓦写入第一径向带和从ID至MD叠瓦写入第二径向带)。然而，任何合适的蝶形模式都可以被使用。图6B示出示例实施例，其中磁盘18以与图6A所示的模式相反的蝶形模式而被叠瓦写入。图6C示出在其中磁盘18在两组径向带上方被叠瓦写入的示例实施例，其中每一组从OD向ID并从ID向OD被叠瓦写入。其它实施例可以利用图6A-6C示出的蝶形模式的任意的合适组合，其中在一个实施例中，不同的微动轮廓可针对径向带中的每个而被校正。
任何合适的控制电路可以被用于实现上述实施例中的流程图，例如，任何合适的集成电路或多个集成电路。例如，控制电路可以在读取通道集成电路内或者在与读取通道分离的组件(诸如磁盘控制器)中实现，或者以上描述的某些操作可以由读取通道执行并且其他操作可以由磁盘控制器执行。在一个实施例中，读取通道和磁盘控制器被实现为单独的集成电路，并且在替代实施例中它们被制造成单个集成电路或片上系统(SOC)。此外，控制电路可以包括实现为单独的集成电路、集成到读取通道或磁盘控制器电路中或集成到SOC中的适当前置放大器电路。
在一个实施例中，控制电路包括执行指令的微处理器，所述指令是可操作的以促使微处理器执行本文所描述的流程图。指令可以存储在任何计算机可读介质中。在一个实施例中，它们可以被存储在非易失性半导体存储器中，该非易失性半导体存储器处于微处理器外部或与微处理器集成在SOC中。在另一实施例中，指令被存储在磁盘上并且当磁盘驱动器加电时被读入到易失性半导体存储器中。在又一实施例中，控制电路包括适当的逻辑电路，诸如状态机电路。

Claims (12)

磁头，其在所述磁盘上方被致动，所述磁头包括径向偏移于读取元件达写入器/读取器偏移的写入元件，所述写入器/读取器偏移相对于所述磁盘上方的所述磁头的径向位置而变化；以及
控制电路系统，其被配置为：
从所述磁盘的外直径向所述磁盘的内直径写入至所述数据磁道的第一径向带；
针对所述第一径向带校正第一微动轮廓，所述第一微动轮廓补偿所述写入器/读取器偏移；
从所述磁盘的内直径向所述磁盘的外直径写入至所述数据磁道的第二径向带；
针对所述第二径向带校正第二微动轮廓，所述第二微动轮廓补偿所述写入器/读取器偏移；
使用所述第一微动轮廓访问数据磁道的所述第一径向带；以及
使用所述第二微动轮廓访问数据磁道的所述第二径向带。
2.根据权利要求1所述的数据存储设备，其中：
写入至所述数据磁道的所述第一径向带包括叠瓦写入至所述数据磁道的所述第一径向带；
写入至所述数据磁道的所述第二径向带包括叠瓦写入至所述数据磁道的所述第二径向带；以及
所述叠瓦写入包括以部分交叠的方式写入所述数据磁道。
3.根据权利要求2所述的数据存储设备，其中所述第一微动轮廓偏移于所述第二微动轮廓达Δ，所述Δ对应于所述数据磁道交叠的百分比。
4.根据权利要求1所述的数据存储设备，其中：
所述数据磁道的所述第一径向带与所述数据磁道的所述第二径向带大体上连续；以及
所述第一微动轮廓在所述第一径向带和所述第二径向带之间的过渡处偏移于所述第二微动轮廓达Δ。
5.根据权利要求4所述的数据存储设备，其中：
写入至所述数据磁道的所述第一径向带包括叠瓦写入至所述数据磁道的所述第一径向带；
写入至所述数据磁道的所述第二径向带包括叠瓦写入至所述数据磁道的所述第二径向带；
所述叠瓦写入包括以部分交叠的方式写入所述数据磁道；以及

6.根据权利要求1所述的数据存储设备，其中：

7.一种操作数据存储设备的方法，所述方法包括：
包括多个数据磁道的磁盘；
在所述磁盘上方被致动的磁头，所述磁头包括径向偏移于读取元件达写入器/读取器偏移的写入元件，所述写入器/读取器偏移相对于所述磁盘上方的所述磁头的径向位置而变化；以及
控制电路系统，其经配置以：
从磁盘的外直径向所述磁盘的内直径写入至数据磁道的第一径向带；
针对所述第一径向带校正第一微动轮廓，所述第一微动轮廓补偿在写入元件径向偏移于磁头的读取元件之间的写入器/读取器偏移；
从所述磁盘的内直径向所述磁盘的外直径写入至所述数据磁道的第二径向带；
针对所述第二径向带校正第二微动轮廓，所述第二微动轮廓补偿所述写入器/读取器偏移；
使用所述第一微动轮廓访问数据磁道的所述第一径向带；以及
使用所述第二微动轮廓访问数据磁道的所述第二径向带。
8.根据权利要求7所述的方法，其中：
写入至所述数据磁道的所述第一径向带包括叠瓦写入至所述数据磁道的所述第一径向带；
写入至所述数据磁道的所述第二径向带包括叠瓦写入至所述数据磁道的所述第二径向带；以及

11.根据权利要求10所述的方法，其中：
