背景技术

Claims (17)

用于存储数据的介质;
用于提供能量的激光器;和
滑块,其具有被构造成在使用期间接近所述介质驻留的空气承载表面即ABS,所述滑块包括HAMR换能器,所述HAMR换能器具有写入极、用于激励所述写入极的至少一个线圈和与所述激光器光学耦合的波导,所述写入极被构造成对所述介质的区域进行写入,所述波导与所述激光器光学耦合,所述波导包括远离所述ABS的入口和接近所述ABS的底部,所述波导还包括模式转换器、与所述模式转换器光学耦合的模式消除器和与所述模式消除器光学耦合的倒锥形区段,所述模式转换器具有从接近所述入口的第一宽度收敛到远离所述入口的第二宽度的侧面,所述第一宽度大于所述第二宽度,所述模式消除器在所述倒锥形区段和所述模式转换器之间,所述锥形区段具有倒锥形区段入口和倒锥形区段出口,所述倒锥形区段入口比所述倒锥形区段出口窄。
9.根据权利要求8所述的HAMR数据存储设备,其中所述波导进一步包括:
与所述倒锥形区段出口光学耦合的功率分解器;和
与所述功率分解器光学耦合的干涉波导,所述干涉波导包括用于朝向所述ABS携带光的多个臂。
10.根据权利要求8所述的HAMR数据存储设备,其中所述波导被构造成至少传送来自所述激光器的能量的基本模式,所述模式消除器被构造成使得除了基本模式之外的模式沿着所述模式消除器经受至少百分之九十的损耗,并且所述基本模式沿着所述模式消除器经受不超过百分之十的基本模式损耗。
11.根据权利要求8所述的HAMR数据存储设备,其中所述HAMR换能器进一步包括:

12.一种用于提供热辅助磁记录写入装置即HAMR写入装置的方法,所述HAMR写入装置包括用于提供能量的激光器并具有被构造成在使用期间邻近介质驻留的空气承载表面即ABS,所述方法包括:
提供写入极,所述写入极被构造成对所述介质的区域进行写入;
提供用于激励所述写入极的至少一个线圈;以及
提供与所述激光器光学耦合的波导,所述波导包括远离所述ABS的入口和接近所述ABS的底部,所述波导还包括模式转换器、与所述模式转换器光学耦合的模式消除器和与所述模式消除器光学耦合的倒锥形区段,所述模式转换器具有从接近所述入口的第一宽度收敛到远离所述入口的第二宽度的侧面,所述第一宽度大于所述第二宽度,所述模式消除器在所述倒锥形区段和所述模式转换器之间,所述锥形区段具有倒锥形区段入口和倒锥形区段出口,所述倒锥形区段入口比所述倒锥形区段出口窄。
13.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,提供所述波导的步骤进一步包括:
提供与所述倒锥形区段出口光学耦合的功率分解器;以及
提供与所述功率分解器光学耦合的干涉波导,所述干涉波导包括用于朝向所述ABS携带光的多个臂。
14.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中所述模式消除器具有不超过所述多个臂的每个的宽度的百分之八十的模式消除器宽度。
15.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,提供所述波导的步骤进一步包括:
构造所述波导以至少传送来自所述激光器的能量的基本模式,所述模式消除器被构造成使得除了基本模式之外的模式沿着所述模式消除器经受至少百分之九十的损耗,并且使得所述基本模式沿着所述模式消除器经受不超过百分之十的基本模式损耗。
