                      发明背景
在各种实际应用中,尤其是在汽车工业中,理想情况是加强各种梁。例如,在一种设施如安全带固定横梁(rail)中,可以采用具有侧壁的槽形梁,该侧壁被一中间壁接合,其中相互连接的中间壁将会受到压缩。理想情况是在梁的压缩空间或壁处设置某种形式的支承件或加强件。例如,已经尝试了用一种泡沫塑料材料来完全填满槽。另一些尝试包括将一内部构件设置在槽内,上述槽也是槽形或是C形并用一种泡沫塑料充满其间。
                      发明概述

本发明还有再一个目的是提供一种加强槽形梁的方法。
按照本发明,槽形梁包括一个内表面,该内表面由侧壁和一相互连接的中间壁限定。加强件用该加强件的至少其中一部分设置在槽内,该加强件具有它与梁的内表面间隔开的内表面。那部分加强件的形状包括坡和谷,并且最好是W形。一种可发泡沫塑料材料设置在梁的内表面和加强件内表面之间的间隙中。当泡沫塑料材料膨胀时,它变成接合到上述两个内表面上。

                       详细说明
本发明将对一种加强式梁组件进行说明,该加强式梁组件特别设计成用作车轫中安全带固定横梁组件的部件。然而,应该理解,这种说明仅用于例证性目的。因此,本发明的思想可以应用于车轫的其它部件或应用于其它对象如飞机、船舶等,无论用到何处,它都希望提供某种加强件,尤其是槽形梁的加强件。
图1-2示出用于一种安全带固定横梁组件其中部件的加强式梁组件10。如图所示,槽形梁12安装在底板14的下面,该槽形梁用任何合适的材料如钢制成。梁12可以是任何合适的构造,并且最好是包括一对发散形(diverging)侧壁16,16,这对侧壁16,16通过一个通常是水平的中间壁18相互连接。侧壁16收尾于水平法兰面20,该水平法兰面20与底板14接触,并以任何合适的方式,如用点焊22连接到底板上。因此,底板14起一种用于槽形梁的盖作用。

在本发明的优选实际应用中,内部加强件28具有均匀的厚度,并且最好是用金属制成,尽管其它材料如塑料也可以用。根据所希望的最后结果,加强件28可以用0.002-0.005英寸厚的箔材制造,或者可以用0.006-0.020英寸厚的片材制造,或者可以0.020-0.125英寸厚的板材制造。
在用作安全带固定组件其中的部件的地方,每个壁或支脚30、32、34、36都可以有一23.8mm的垂直高度。壁30和38之间及壁32和40之间的夹角可以是97.6°,而壁34和38及壁36和40之间的夹角可以是93°。加强件28的中心线到壁30或壁32之间的距离可以是37.8mm。
如图2所示,聚合物层44结合到内部加强件28的各部分上。因此,加强件28起一种聚合物层的载体作用。聚合物层44最好是一种可发泡沫塑料,当它被激活时,它就膨胀,以便完全填满梁12的内表面和加强件28的内表面之间的空间,并且最好是结合到二者的内表面上。一种优选的聚合物泡沫塑料是如美国专利No.5,575,526中所述的热可发泡沫塑料,其所有细节此处都包括供参考。与车梁有关的一种热可发泡沫塑料的优点在于:当包括梁12的这部分车轫受热,如由车轫制造中所用的常规电镀工艺(coatingprocess)所引起受热时,该泡沫塑料就会膨胀。因此分开的加热阶段不必激活泡沫塑料。尽管热可发泡沫塑料是优选的,但本发明可以实际应用其它类型的类似泡沫塑料,然而,其它类型的类似泡沫塑料用化学方法激活。因此,任何合适的泡沫塑料,如热固性和/或可发树脂基泡沫塑料在本发明的实际应用中都可以使用。聚合物层44当用作安全带固定组件其中一部分时,是0.08-0.200英寸厚,它结合到载体或加强件28上和结合到底层构件或梁12上。尽管图4以倒转位置示出梁组件用于试验目的,但可以看出,图4示出泡沫塑料44完全填满梁12和加强件28二者内表面之间的空间。

图6是曲线图,它示出各种不同类型的梁加强件在不同载荷下的弯沉情况。如图所示,基线表示图5所示的类型梁,该类梁没有加强件。完全填满(Full fill)表示一种例如用泡沫塑料完全填满的梁。C-形剖面(C-Section)表示一种具有内部为C形或槽形加强件的梁。另一些对照物是具有3mm Teracore、4mm Teracore、和4mm.8钢。这些梁状态的其中每一种都代表不是本发明实际应用的实际应用。后三种试验,亦即W.8 CRS,W 1.2 DF 140和W 1.0 DF 140代表用本发明增强的梁。尺寸用英寸表示。CRS是冷轧钢的缩略词。DF表示两种形式(di-form)。如图6所示,本发明的三种实际应用要求大得多的力,以便产生与对照实际应用造成的相同弯沉量。
本发明为梁和垂直人字形腹板(Sheer web)的压缩力提供一种轻型支承件。内部加强件的外形提供在弯曲时优于常规的实际应用如用泡沫塑料填充一部分实心体的更密集和更节约成本的加强梁的方法。

Claims (17)

1.加强式梁组件,它包括:一个梁,该梁具有一槽形内表面,该槽形内表面由侧壁和一相互连接的中间壁限定;一个加强件,它在上述梁中,该加强件位于上述梁的槽内,上述加强件至少其中一部分与上述内表面间隔开,上述加强件的其中这一部分具有一内表面,该内表面朝向上述梁的内表面设置,上述加强件其中这一部分的内表面由多个坡和谷限定;和一种泡沫塑料材料,该泡沫塑料材料位于上述梁的内表面和上述加强件的内表面之间的间隙中,用于在上述泡沫塑料材料膨胀时结合到上述梁的内表面和上述加强件的内表面上。
2.如权利要求1所述的组件,其特征在于:加强件通常是W形。

12.如权利要求6所述的组件,其特征在于:上述加强件取一种0.020-0.005英寸厚的箔材形状。
13.如权利要求6所述的组件,其特征在于:上述加强件是具有厚度为0.006-0.020英寸的片材。
14.如权利要求6所述的组件,其特征在于:上述加强件是具有厚度为0.020-0.125英寸的板材。
15.加强梁组件的方法,包括:提供一种槽形梁,该槽形梁具有一内表面,该内表面由侧壁和一相互连接的中间壁限定;将一通常是W形的加强件安装在梁的槽内,并和结合到该加强件上的一种可发泡沫塑料材料一起安装在加强件的内表面上,该加强件的内表面朝向梁的槽内表面设置;及将泡沫塑料发泡成与槽的内表面和加强件的内表面密切接触和结合。
16.如权利要求15所述的方法,包括将一个盖安装在梁的槽上方,以便闭合槽并将加强件封闭于其中。
17.如权利要求16所述的方法,其特征在于:梁是车轫的一个安全带固定横梁,而盖是车轫的底板,并且将安全带安装到底板上。
