Abstract

本发明涉及的一种控制器由操作体,作为发音装置的扬声器和支持体构成。上述操作体可转动地支承在支持体上,上述扬声器被设在操作体转动中心部上。因此,能够把音源配置在操作者附近。另外,从扬声器发出的声音成为振动源而传递给手握部。

Description

游戏用控制器
本发明涉及一种设置到地板上使用的或者手持的游戏用控制器,特别是涉及设有发音装置的游戏用控制器。
图6示出上述现有的家庭用游戏机或设置在娱乐中心等处的游戏机的构成方框图。
此种游戏机,当操作者操作控制器6时,由控制器6产生操作信号。该操作信号经控制器的控制部5,驱动器4传送给如游戏机主体的主体控制部1。上述主体控制部1读取游戏程序2,生成在显示器3上显示的图像数据,再获取来自上述控制器6的操作信号,向显示器3映射图像数据。再由上述主体控制部1,根据游戏程序2,以显示器3上显示的图像为基础,向声音输出装置7输送声音输出信号。对于家庭用游戏机,使用电视画面作为上述显示器3,在娱乐中心等场所,则3。
然而,因为上述现有的游戏机的声音输出装置7设计在游戏机的主体侧,所以从远离操作者操作的控制器6的场所发出声音,游戏的现场感差。在家庭用游戏机中,在夜间若发出大声,会影响别人,因此就这一点也会损失现场感。
本发明是为了解决上述问题,其目的在于提供一种能够充分地获得现场感,且对于家庭用游戏机,即使在不发出大声的状况下,也不会损失现场感的游戏用控制器。
本发明的控制器有固定使用或手持使用的支持体,设置在上述支持体上的操作装置,在控制器和机器主体间传递信号的有线或无线传递装置和发音装置,从上述机器主体经上述传递装置向上述发音装置输送发音信号。
因为用该游戏用控制器在操作者的操作场所发出游戏声音,所以富有现场感,对于家庭用游戏机,从操作者的手握处发出声音,所以即使音量本身不大,仍可获得现场感极强的游戏操作。
例如,根据上述发音信号,从上述发音装置发出的声音最好是与在上述机器主体侧发出的部分声音或在上述机器主体侧发出的声音不同的声音。
因此,由于使机器主体侧发出的声音和控制器侧发出的声音不同,能够在游戏操作中演绎出极强的立体感和现场感。
但是,本发明也可以在机器主体侧不发出声音,而只从控制器侧的发音装置发出声音,或者于机器主体侧和控制器侧发出相同的声音。
上述发音装置也可设在上述操作装置的某一部位上,例如,上述操作装置是可转动地设在上述支持体上的操纵杆,在上述操作杆的转动中心处设上述发音装置。
或者,上述发音装置也可设在上述支持体上。
在控制器和机器主体间的传递装置也可以是使用电缆的有线方式,或者是采用电波和红外线的无线装置。
下面,结合附图对本发明的实施例进行详细说明。
图1是示出本发明游戏用控制器的第1实施例的正视图。
图2是示出本发明游戏用控制器系统构成的方框图。
图3是示出本发明第2实施例的正视图。
图4是示出本发明第3实施例的正视图。
图5是示出本发明第4实施例的正视图。
图6示出现有游戏用控制器系统构成的方框图。
图1所示的游戏用控制器是如用于赛车游戏等上的操作杆型控制器16,上述控制器16由操作体21,作为发音装置的扬声器17和支持体24构成。
控制器16经规定的电缆与游戏机主体10连接。在游戏机主体10上设置显示器13及声音输出装置(扬声器)19。对于家庭用游戏机,用电视接受机作为上述显示器13和声音输出装置19。
对于设置在娱乐场所作为经营性的大型体感型(身体可感应到的)游戏机,在游戏机主体10上一体地设置了专用的显示器13和声音输出装置19。或者,在利用个人计算机的游戏机等上也能使用。另外,控制器16和游戏机主体10也可以利用电波或红外线通信的无线传递装置进行信号的传送。
控制器16的上述操作体21由操作者用手握住进行操作的手握部18,可转动地支承手握部18的转动轴23和把上述手握部18固定到上述转动轴23上的支杆22、22、22构成。在上述转动轴23的中央上设上述扬声器17。上述转动轴23受支持体24转动地支承着,可以把上述支持体24放置到任意的场所,并进行输入操作。
如图2所示,本发明的游戏用控制器,在扬声器17一体地设置的控制器16上内装控制器的控制部15。该控制器的控制部15是进行把转动操作控制器16后生成的模拟信号变换为规定的数字信号的处理。而在游戏机主体10上设存储游戏程序12的存储部和处理来自控制器16的操作信号后输送给主体控制部11的驱动器14。
主体控制部11从游戏程序12读取数据,并把读取的数据变换成图像数据后,输出给显示器13。另外主体控制部11从游戏程序12读取声音数据,并由驱动器14和控制器的控制部15把读取的声音数据变换为规定的声音用的数据,从控制器16侧的扬声器17输出声音。
当操作上述控制器16时输出操作信号。此时,操作信号由上述控制器的控制部15变换成规定数据后,经驱动器14,在主体控制部11中变换成图像数据,映射为显示器13显示的图像数据。
这样,因把扬声器17设在控制器16侧,所以操作者能够更近地听到或感觉到声音,此外,操作者能够直接地体验到声音的振动,能够非常愉快地感受到现场感极强的游戏。扬声器17的数量可以在上述转动轴23的中心设一个,也可以在转动轴23的中心分开设多个。
虽然控制器16的扬声器17和游戏机主体10的声音输出装置19可以发出相同的声音,但也可以使声音输出装置19发出的声音的部分从扬声器17发出。例如,在赛车游戏时,整体声音从游戏机主体10的声音输出装置19发出,而汽车发动机声音从扬声器17和声音输出装置19的双方发出。或者,由声音输出装置19和扬声器17分别发出不同的声音。例如,从声音输出装置19发出赛场的欢声笑语和刹车声,而从扬声器17发出发动机和换件声(Shiftchange)。也可以只从控制器16侧的扬声器17发出声音。
在控制器16的支持体24上可以设置调节扬声器17音量的蝶形调节部件。也可以设置在扬声器17和声音输出装置19之间切换发声的装置。
此外,对于上述控制器16,由于从扬声器17输出的声音产生振动被传递给手握部18,手握部18振动,所以也可获得使控制器16振动的振动发生源。于是,如果是经营性游戏机,随着音量增大,发生的振动也增大,能够得到比现有游戏机更真实的现场感,此外,若是家庭用游戏机,因为即使将音量调小来用,操作者仍可得到与上述音量对应的振动效应,所以可得到真实的游戏感。
本发明的游戏用控制器在单独使用时,例如在上述支持体24的底面上设置吸盘状可装拆的吸紧部件,再把它放置在地板或机座等的平面上就可使用。此外,在加油踏板或刹车板等上再设置其它的控制器,也能体会到更加真实的感觉。
上述扬声器17可使用锥型或平型扬声器等各种扬声器。
图3是示出本发明游戏用控制器的第2实施例的正视图。
作为上述游戏用控制器所使用的控制器26与图1所示的构成相同,在由手握部18、转动轴23和支杆22、22、22构成的操作体21的上述支杆22、22、22上设置朝向操作者侧的扬声器27、27、27。在本实施例中,因为将音源分成3个,所以操作者位于上述3个音源的中心位置上,能够捕捉到立体声,可进一步提高现场感。此时,可以将上述扬声27、27、27分别设计成发出低音,中音,及高音的扬声器。
图4是示出本发明第3实施例的正视图。
图4所示的游戏用控制器是模拟飞行器的操纵杆形状,能在模拟飞行游戏上使用。作为游戏用控制器所使用的控制器36由操作体31和扬声器35构成。操作体31具有手握部32、32,转动轴33和支杆34、34,手握部32、32和转动轴33受到支柱34、34的支承。扬声器35设在上述转动轴33的中心位置上。
上述扬声器35也可分别设在上述支柱34、34上。在如上所述地设置多个扬声器35时,就可播放立体声,可再现立体声,从而,提高了现场感。
图5示出本发明第4实施例的正视图。图5所示的游戏用控制器是可以用在二轮摩托车模拟操纵游戏中,设置了手握部41和与手握部41一体设计的扬声器47,以手握部41的宽度方向中心,可转动地支承在图中未示出的支承体上。
图4及图5实施例的效果与图1所示的游戏控制器的一样,此处省略说明。
除了以上说明的游戏,只要是输入操作信息的体感型游戏,均可使用本发明的游戏用控制器。
以上说明的本发明因为是在控制器上设发音装置,使音源接近于操作者,所以能够产生出声音的立体效果,并因发出的声音的振动被传递给了操作者或控制器,所以与现有的游戏用控制器相比,现场感更强。

Claims (5)

1.一种游戏用控制器,该控制器具有被设置在地上使用的或手持使用的支持体,设置在上述支持体上的操作装置,在控制器和机器主体间传递信号的有线或无线传递装置和发音装置,从上述机器主体经上述传递装置向上述发音装置输送发音信号。
2.如权利要求1所述的游戏用控制器,其特征在于根据上述发音信号从上述发音装置发出的声音不同于上述机器主体侧发出的部分声音或在上述机器主体侧发出的声音。
3.如权利要求1所述的游戏用控制器,其特征在于上述发音装置设在上述操作装置的某一部位上。
4.如权利要求3所述的游戏用控制器,其特征在于上述操作装置是可转动地设在上述支持体上的操纵杆,在上述操作杆的转动中心处设上述发音装置。
5.如权利要求1所述的游戏用控制器,其特征在于上述发音装置设在上述支持体上。
