首选实施例描述

参考图2，IP电话网关表示为39。网关39包括一个信号网关41和媒介网关43。通常，信号网关41在例如SS7的电话信号协议和例如SIP的IP电话信号协议之间提供双向协议变换。如图2所示，例如，信号网关41适于在ISDN用户方(ISUP)初始地址消息(IAM)和SIP邀请请求之间提供双向变换。媒介网关43适于在传统时分多路复用电话线路和实时传输分组协议之间提供双向协议变换。

Claims (24)

1.提供IP电话服务的方法，包括步骤：
将电话信号协议被叫方号码地址特性指示器映射到因特网信号协议地址特性指示器；并且
将电话信号协议被叫号码编码设计指示器映射到因特网信号协议编码设计指示器。
2.如在权利要求1中所述的方法，其中所述因特网信号协议是会话初始协议。
3.如在权利要求2中所述的方法，其中所述因特网协议地址特性指示器和所述因特网协议号码设计指示器包含在一个邀请请求中。
4.如在权利要求1中所述的方法，其中所述电话信号协议是SS7。
