本发明一般涉及建筑开口水平或垂直覆盖物中使用的板条,更具体地说,涉及一种成形为横向可压缩的管状结构的板条。
相关技术介绍
建筑开口用的覆盖物已使用了好几个世纪并呈现许多不同的形式。多年来都是简单地用织物跨过建筑开口如窗户、门、拱道等悬挂,但后来出来了更高级的覆盖物。例如,褶皱的帘布已经使用了一段时间,并可以用常规的硬件移动,该常规的硬件是在跨过建筑开口的伸展位置和邻近开口侧边的收缩位置之间。
覆盖物的另一种流行形式是一种威尼斯百叶窗,它由多个水平设置的木质或铝板条(最近用塑料板条)组成,这些板条用梯架沿着它们的长度支承在间隔开的位置处。梯架可以是带式梯架或绳式梯架,它们由平行但间隔开的垂直延伸的柔软织物带或绳组成,这些织物带或绳具有多个板条,这些板条将在它们之间延伸的横跨梯架或环支承在垂直间隔开的位置处。板条支承在横跨的梯架上。升降绳穿过板条垂直延伸,并设置合适的控制机构以便升降绳可以升起,因而当覆盖物从跨过建筑开口的一个延伸位置移动到邻近建筑开口顶部的一个收缩位置时将板条成一种堆垛关系收拢或集聚。另外,通过朝相反的垂直方向上移动梯架的平行带,缆或绳,横跨的梯架倾斜,因而使板条倾斜,以使威尼斯百叶窗在打开位置和关闭位置之间移动,来选择性地让视线和光线在板条之间通过。
最近,建筑开口用的覆盖物包括类似于威尼斯百叶窗的垂直百叶窗,只是板条是垂直设置而不是水平设置。象威尼斯百叶窗一样,板条可以绕它们的纵向轴旋转,以使覆盖物在打开位置和关闭位置之间移动。各板条作为一组,也可以跨过建筑开口伸展或收缩。
甚至时间更近,设计人员的建筑开口用覆盖物包括了格形百叶窗,其中材料的互连式小格跨过建筑开口延伸,并且当打开或关闭覆盖物或是使它在伸展位置和收缩位置之间移动时,可以自行折叠。
尽管在威尼斯百叶窗或垂直百叶窗中使用的板条或叶片传统上都是用一种刚性硬质材料制造,但在使这些板条或叶片的外观变软方面已作了一些尝试,这些例子在美国专利Nos.5,797,442,5,960,850和5,876,545中已经公开,这些专利与本申请一起被共同拥有。在上述专利中,叶片已垂直悬挂并制成一种管状结构,同时该管状结构沿着叶片的长度基本上消除了转矩,以便当叶片通过一个控制机构在它的上端处旋转时,叶片的下端将与上端一致移动。然而,在上述专利中管状叶片的特点是它们很容易沿着它们的长度弯曲,以致如果水平设置,它们将下垂或弯曲。
尽管管状叶片在威尼斯百叶窗中已有应用,但它们有各种各样的缺点。
在建筑开口用覆盖物技术中,需要比硬木,塑料或铝板条等更软的外观,但这些板条无论是否是水平或垂直设置都保持它的形状。另外,板条必须有高度不透明性,其中最大量的漫射光透过帘子。
                          发明提要
本发明涉及一种管状板条或叶片,该管状板条或叶片可以在建筑开口用水平或垂直覆盖物中使用,并且其中叶片有一个软织物的外观,同时保持沿着它长度的结构刚性。因此,叶片可以在威尼斯百叶窗或垂直百叶窗中使用,并且当在威尼斯百叶窗中使用时沿着它的长度将没有显著地下垂,而当在垂直百叶窗中使用时将沿着它的长度均匀地旋转而没有螺旋式扭曲。
管状叶片可以用各种材料的组合制造,但在优选实施例中,材料的基本结构部分是一种玻璃纤维垫,其中纤维可以是织造的,非织造的或是随机取向但与一种可热成形的树脂结合的纤维,以便垫具有可变形的记忆。换句话说,它可以在加热下形成任何所希望的结构,该结构将塑性变形地保持.它是有弹性的,以便即使是在临时变形之后也总是返回那种结构。
优选地,但不一定是,玻璃纤维垫具有一层另外的织物或其它材料,该材料或是层压到或是卷绕在玻璃纤维垫上,以便使板条具有所希望的构造和/或美学外观,但玻璃纤维垫将为板条提供或保持所希望的结构质量,以便它们将经受板条在装运和使用过程中碰到的极端环境如板条的压缩和变形。
尽管板条制成了一种管状结构,但有许多种管状结构可以利用。

                       优选实施例说明
供在按照本发明所述建筑开口覆盖物中使用的板条或叶片30,或许最好是在图1-4中所看到的,包括一个细长的管状体32,一个折叠的边缘38和一个固定的边缘40,上述管状体32具有上面和下面分别向外凸的侧壁34和36。正如后面将要更详细说明的,板条是用一个具有相对两端的材料带通过沿着带中线附近的一条线在纵向上将材料折叠并以叠加关系将自由端固定在一起制成。板条可以在形成管子之前或之后切成任何所希望的长度。本发明的一个重要特点在于叶片由其制造的材料,因为希望板条在正常工作条件下保持它的管状结构,并且即使在已变形或横向压缩之后,如装运时遇到的极端环境和建筑开口中的日常使用中,都能回复到那种管状结构。材料中的一种重要组分是玻璃纤维网,该玻璃纤维网可以织造的,非织造的或由随机取向的玻璃纤维组成,这些玻璃纤维在一合适的树脂中固定在一起。优选的玻璃材料由Ahlstron of Karhula,Finland制造并指定为产品#GFT-51G10-50。它是一种具有重量为每平方米50克的非织造纤维织物。在一个实施例中,制造时是以干重含量为21-24%的比例将一种热固性树脂加到玻璃非织造织物中。应该理解,视树脂和玻璃纤维的性质而定,可以利用高含量或较低量的树脂。这种加到玻璃垫中的树脂只在将近制造时干燥。这让后面的用户能把玻璃织物放在一个模型内并将它加热到它的交联温度和保留时间。在加热过程之后,产生的玻璃垫和热固性树脂结构将在很长时间内保持它的形状。织物内玻璃纤维的直径极小(11微米)。玻璃纤维除了它的光学透明度之外,当用透射光观察时,玻璃纤维使玻璃织物具有所希望量的半透明度,相比之下其它的纺织纤维当在相同的透射光条件下观察时比较不透明。用来结合玻璃纤维的热固性树脂是一种可热成形的树脂,以使纤维的取向及纤维放入其中的材料保持稍微固定,即使是挠性的也是如此,直到通过加热到一超过树脂固化温度的预定温度来修改或改变固定的取向。换言之,用热固性树脂所形成的玻璃纤维材料,可以加热到一预定的温度,和然后模制成一预定结构,并在冷却之后保持那种结构。
尽管用这种玻璃纤维材料所制造的板条30可以用玻璃纤维和树脂的垫层单独形成,但由于审美或其它原因,可能理想的情况是将一种不同的材料层压到玻璃纤维垫层上。一些材料如大多数任何织物,薄片或类似材料可以层压到玻璃纤维上,以便一旦形成叶片,位于管状板条表面的外部或内部上的不同材料使板条或叶片具有所希望的外观。
正如在图1-4中可以看到的,板条30具有一个折翼或外部尾翼部分142,其中壁34和36固定在一起形成板条。在一可供选择的实施例中,板条144最好如图24所示,不产生外部尾翼部分。在可供选择的板条144中,其中一个壁的其中一边向内折叠,以便与另一个壁的内表面会合,其中折叠部分用胶粘剂接合到相应的内表面上。
参见图5-11,板条30示出安装在一个建筑开口用的威尼斯百叶窗式覆盖物42中,其中威尼斯百叶窗具有一个机头导轨44,一个升降绳46,一个倾斜棒48,一个底部导轨50和在百叶窗相对端处的绳梯架52,百叶窗用的控制系统设置在上述机头导轨44中,上述底部导轨50与机头导轨44间隔开但相互平行,绳梯架52在百叶窗的相对两端处。每个管状板条30在靠近其两端的侧壁中都设置了对齐的开口54,以便适应板条装入百叶窗系统中。绳梯架正如也许在图6-8中所看到的,具有两个垂直延伸间隔开的倾斜绳56,倾斜绳56具有若干水平环58,这些水平环58以等间距垂直位置连接倾斜绳。每个环都支承板条的一端,以使板条用平行的水平方向设置。倾斜绳46在每个板条两端处穿过垂直对齐的开口54延伸并打结或用别的办法固定在底部导轨下面的62处,正如在图6-11中所最佳看到的。正如在图12中所看到的,当百叶页收缩时,垂直的倾斜绳56与每个在板条之间延伸的绳梯架的环58一起沿着板条相对的边折叠。在图12的收缩位置中,板条可以看成仍然是管状,但它们被压缩成一个很薄的管子,以便占据最小的空间。那样,板条可以压缩在一个很小的空间中,它实际上小于通常在威尼斯百叶窗中发现的木板条所占据的空间。
板条30还可以用于其它类型的威尼斯百叶窗中,这些百叶窗利用一个升降绳,该升降绳沿着通常是与绳梯架垂直部分交织的百叶窗外部延伸。在这种类型威尼斯百叶窗中,不需要在板条的表面中形成开口,当百叶窗处于关闭位置时,这些板条可以让光无妨碍地由其穿过。应该理解,当百叶窗以与图12所示相同的方式收缩时,这些板条也可以压缩。由本申请书代理人所拥有的两个共同待批的美国专利申请书中更详细地介绍了具有外部升降绳的管状板条的使用,这两个共同待批的美国专利申请书标题为“建筑开口用百叶窗式覆盖物”(专利申请序列号__,__存档)和“建筑开口用具有固定叶片的梯架操纵式覆盖物”(专利申请序列号__,__存档),这里把它们作为参考文献整体参考。
如上所述,在板条中所用的玻璃纤维/树脂垫料可以单独使用,但由于审美或其它原因,可以将分开的材料叠加到基本玻璃纤维/树脂上或是缠绕在基本材料上。参见图13,图13示出一种用于形成一带形材料的成形装置64和方法,板条30可以用上述带形材料制成。在装置的一端处,一个长带玻璃纤维/树脂垫68的供带辊66装备了垫,该垫具有一个宽度基本上是所提出的用该材料制成的板条宽度的一倍。玻璃纤维垫带位于细长带的织物或其它材料72的第二辊70下面,该细长带的织物或其它材料72层压到玻璃纤维垫68上。玻璃纤维带和织物带卷的自由端在玻璃纤维垫的顶面用一常规胶粘剂涂布器76涂布一层胶粘剂之后,在一对面对的压缩辊74之间通过。胶粘剂可以是任何合适的具有如热塑性或热固性胶粘剂性质的胶粘剂,当它们在辊74之间通过时,这些胶粘剂的粘性把玻璃纤维材料粘合到织物材料72上。在一个实施例中,在利用玻璃纤维垫的可热成形的粘结剂将织物粘合到垫上的情况下,没有施加额外的粘结剂。在离开压缩辊时,层压制品75被拉下盖住一第一加热的心轴78,该芯轴78可以是钢,铝或任何合适的材料制成,其中在靠近其弧形上表面82处具有若干纵向上延伸的通道80。热的流体通过该通道80,以便将弧形上表面保持在一预定的温度下,该预定温度高于在玻璃纤维材料和胶粘剂76中所用的可热成形树脂的固化温度。在图15中见到的是穿过其上具有层压制品的心轴78所作的剖视图。随着材料拉过热的心轴,玻璃纤维材料中的可热成形树脂初涂流体,以使层压制品的横向呈现心轴顶部表面82的弧形结构。离开热的心轴78下游的层压制品75横贯与热心轴同样结构的冷心轴84,只是在冷心轴84中是冷却剂穿过纵向通道(未示出)以使冷心轴的弧形顶部表面88保持在一预先选定温度下,该预先选定的温度低于热心轴的温度,以使可成形树脂固化。因此,离开冷心轴下游端的层压制品以一横向弧形形状成形,并绕一空转辊90转到卷取辊92上,在卷取辊92处聚集一预定长度的弧形层压制品带。尽管层压制品的剖面图结构可以在卷取辊92上临时变形,但一旦将层压制品材料带从辊上取出,它将再次呈现它绕到卷取辊上之前所具有的结构。
参见图16和17,图16和17示出一种可供选择的系统94,该系统94用于形成板条可由其制造的层压材料带75。正如在图16中所看到的,玻璃纤维/树脂材料带辊96设置在织物或其它选定材料带辊98的下方,而一个胶粘剂涂布器100位于它们之间,以便将一层胶粘剂分散到玻璃纤维/树脂材料的顶部表面上。另外,胶粘剂可以是任何合适的胶粘剂,但优选的是一种热塑性胶粘剂。一对分别是上面和下面的环形皮带102和104设置在玻璃纤维和织物供给辊的下游,同时环形皮带用常规方式卷绕在从动辊106和空转辊108上。设置在上面和下面环形皮带之间的是加热心轴110和下游的冷却心轴112,每个心轴都分别具有上面部件110a,112a和分别具有下面部件110b,112b。上面部件和下面部件的相对面分别是凸形和凹形,并间隔开一预定的距离,以便让层压制品的自由通道在它们之间。加热心轴和冷却心轴的上表面110a,112a分别具有细长的通道114,该通道114靠近心轴的凸形表面,分别用于加热和冷却流体的通道,以使心轴的相邻凸形表面保持在预定的温度下。当层压制品在加热心轴110的上面和下面部件之间通过时,它被限制成一个弧形结构,并且温度达到使热固性树脂交联的温度。在上述Ahlstrom玻璃材料情况下,最佳的温度/持续时间被认为是每分钟约410°F。随着层压制品穿过冷却心轴112,在层压制品中保持相同的弧形结构,在上述冷却心轴112处,温度降到低于加热心轴中的温度,当层压制品75离开冷却心轴的下游端并卷绕在卷取辊116上时,该温度保持层压制品75弧形的横向剖面结构。如关于图13中所示的系统所述,尽管层压制品75的横向剖面结构当在卷取辊上时可以变形或临时改变,但一旦不卷绕层压制品,它就又呈现随着它穿过加热和冷却心轴而赋予它的弧形结构。
图18-22示出弧形层压制品75如何制成管状板条。在图18中,弧形层压制品以端视图示出它在离开无论是图13还是图16的成形装置冷却心轴112之后具有相同的弧形结构。层压制品带首先穿过如图19所示的折边装置118。在穿过折边装置时,临时使材料带变平,以便平放一对并置的砧座120的上面和下面,及砧座120和折边辊122之间,该折边辊122已相对于带材设置在一个预定位置处。折边辊的位置由层压制品带75最终折边或所希望的结构的地方决定。在所公开的板条实施例中,如将在图19中看到的,一个折边124位于带的一面上该带的大致纵向中央处,而另一个折边安放在对面上带的一个侧边附近。折边安放在带的哪一侧边上不是十分重要,但现已发现当成一扁平结构时更容易将材料折边,并且为了完成这种情况,使层压制品带在砧座和折边辊之间行进比较简单,如图所示。
在折边之后,并且如图20中所示,层压制品带75穿过一个胶粘剂涂布装置128,该涂布装置128包括一对彼此相对的辊130,这对辊130间隔开一足够的距离,以便让层压制品带穿过其间。上面辊比下面辊短,以便为一常规胶粘剂涂布器132提供空间,胶粘剂涂布器132把一个胶粘剂带133涂布到层压制品带在折边126和带右边缘134之间的顶部表面上。胶粘剂可以是任何合适的胶粘剂,但优选的是一种热塑性共聚酯胶粘剂如由Bostik Adhesive of Boston,Massa-chusetts制造的Bostik 7183,或由EMS of Switzerland制造的Griltex GG。
参见图21,在层压制品带75从胶粘剂涂布器出来之后,它再次呈现它的弧形横向结构并且然后它穿过一个折叠机构(未示出),该折叠机构抓住层压制品带,并在纵向上于带的大致纵向中央处沿着折边124将带折叠,以使带的两边缘134和138在其间具有胶粘剂133情况下成面对叠加的关系。当带75是沿着其大致的纵向中线折叠时,通过将其上具有胶粘剂的带的边缘134绕它相关的折边126折叠来形成一个折翼140,以便当层压制品带的两个侧边缘处于彼此面对的关系时,那样形成的板条顶壁36(在图22的底部上示出)使它保持弧形结构,并且板条底壁34(在图22的底部上示出)与顶壁的曲率一致。在层压制品带的两个边缘用胶粘剂粘合的位置处,形一个外部尾端142,该外部的尾端142可以穿过一个热固定装置(未示出),以便将永久地形成板条的层压制品带的两个边缘固定到图22所示的管状结构中。
在图24所示的一个可供选择的板条实施例144中,它用同样的方式形成,只是胶粘剂146(图23)涂布到层压制品带75在带的右边缘148和一邻近的折边线150之间的下表面148上,并且一旦层压制品带绕一个基本上沿着带的纵向中央前进的折边152折叠,限定在带的右边缘148和邻近的折边线150之间的一个折翼154就可以向内折叠而面对板条底壁152的顶部表面,和另外,板条的这个位置可以穿过一个热固定装置(未示出),以便将层压制品带的自由边缘在板条内部固定在一起,同时由其形成的板条没有如图22中板条那样的外部尾端。

由于玻璃纤维材料的光学性质,所得到的板条30或144通常是半透明的。当一个用这些板条的窗覆盖物安放成它的闭合位置时,在相邻的板条上不会产生因板条叠加而引起的阴暗线,因为各板条使穿过它们的光漫射。此外,因为板条是空心的和半透明,所以可将形成图案和/或彩色的插件插入板条中,以便改变板条的最终外观及板条的半透明程度。在一种类型的窗用百叶组件中,其中将板条用在窗覆盖物中,其中升降绳和梯架绳路线定在叶片的外部并且不穿过叶片,所以改变外观的插件可以很容易是顾客或窗覆盖物购买者设置后生产。
按照本发明所述制成的板条30或144由于大部分是管状结构和树脂刚化的玻璃纤维垫,所以即使是在水平设置时和在普遍看到的长度上设置成建筑开口用的覆盖物,也不会沿着它的长度显著地倾斜或下垂。另外,叶片或板条适合用于一垂直覆盖物中。当使用时,在一垂直覆盖物中将不沿着它的长度扭绞,以便当叶片通过一控制系统在其上端处旋转时,下端将不与其协调旋转。制造板条或叶片的材料重要的是它的功能性及始终使用玻璃纤维和一种热固性树脂,叶片可以制成具有变形记忆力,因而在正常情况下它将保持它的管状取向,但通过压缩,折叠等方法它可以变形,并且由于其中与玻璃纤维和可热成形树脂一起提供的记忆力,将重新结合成它的原始结构。因而如此形成的板条或叶片是有弹性的并可以反复变形而不失去返回它的原始结构的能力。这种弹性能使板条在收缩一相关的百叶窗组件时如图12所示压缩,并在百叶窗组件降下时回复到未变形的结构。
尽管本发明已在一定程度上详细介绍了本发明,但应该理解,本公开内容已通过例子加以说明,并且在不脱离如所附权利要求书所述的本发明精神情况下,可以在细节和结构上进行各种改变。

Claims (52)

1.一种供建筑开口用的覆盖物的板条,组合包括:
一细长的管状体,该管状体由一种包含可热成形树脂中的玻璃纤维的材料制成,因而上述管状体是柔性而有弹性的,并且在反复变形后会恢复它的原始结构。
2.如权利要求1所述的板条,其中,上述材料是一种层压材料,该层压材料包括在可热成形树脂中的玻璃纤维的第一层和不同材料的第二层。
3.如权利要求2所述的板条,其中,上述第一和第二层结合在一起。
4.如权利要求3所述的板条,其中,上述结合是用一种热固性胶粘剂。
5.如权利要求2所述的板条,其中,上述第二层是一种织物材料。
6.如权利要求5所述的板条,其中,上述织物材料是机织物。
7.如权利要求5所述的板条,其中,上述织物材料是非织造织物。
8.如权利要求5所述的板条,其中,上述织物材料是一种箔片。
9.如权利要求1所述的板条,其中,上述板条用一根单条材料形成,该单条材料具有沿着大致纵向中线折叠的对置边缘,并且该对置边缘固定在一起。
10.如权利要求9所述的板条,其中,上述对置边缘设置在由上述管状体所限定的管子之外。
11.如权利要求9所述的板条,其中,上述对置边缘设置在由上述管状体所限定的管子之内。
12.一种形成供建筑开口用的覆盖物的管状板条的方法,包括以下步骤:
提供具有对置纵向边缘的一细长条材料,上述材料包括在可热成形树脂中的玻璃纤维,
沿着一条大致纵向线将上述材料条折叠,以便上述边缘成相邻关系,和
将上述边缘固定在一起。
13.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中,还包括在上述折叠步骤之前使上述材料条形成具有一弧形横向结构的步骤。
14.如权利要求13所述的方法,其中,上述边缘在由上述板条限定的管子之外固定在一起。
15.如权利要求13所述的方法,其中,上述边缘在由上述板条限定的管子之内固定在一起。
16.如权利要求13所述的方法,其中,上述边缘用一种热固性胶粘剂固定在一起。
17.供建筑开口用的覆盖物的板条,组合包括:
一细长的管状体,该管状体用一种具有形状记忆力的柔性材料形成,以便在变形之后会恢复它的原始结构。
18.供建筑开口用的覆盖物的板条,组合包括:
一细长的管状体,该管状体用一种用一种柔性而有弹性的材料形成,以便在变形之后会恢复它的原始结构。
19.如权利要求1所述的板条,其中,上述可热成形的树脂是热塑性树脂。
20.如权利要求1所述的板条,其中,上述可热成形树脂是热固性树脂。
21.如权利要求1所述的板条,其中,管状体包括一个上侧边和一个下侧边,下侧边具有一个向下凸的外表面,而上侧边具有一个向上凸的外表面,上侧边沿着两个相对的边缘与下侧边相交。
22.如权利要求21所述的板条,其中,上侧边和下侧边用一根具有两端的单条材料形成,两端重叠以便形成管状体。
23.如权利要求22所述的板条,其中,对置边缘其中之一通过在一根单条材料上的折叠形成。
24.如权利要求23所述的板条,其中,对置边缘的其中另一边缘通过两端重叠形成。
25.一种方法,包括:
提供一个具有对置的纵向边缘的薄细长条,细长条包括一个纤维垫和设置在纤维垫中的可热成形树脂;
通过使纤维垫内所含的热固性树脂交联将细长条形成为具有弹性的弧形横向结构;
沿着至少一条纵向线将细长条折叠;和
将对置的纵向边缘接合在一起,以便形成一个管状体,该管状体具有一个向上凸的项部表面和一个相对的向下凸的底部表面。
26.如权利要求25所述的方法,其中,纤维垫包括玻璃纤维。
27.如权利要求26所述的方法,其中,玻璃纤维是非织造织物。
28.如权利要求25所述的方法,其中,上述沿着至少一个纵向线折叠细长条还包括,沿着第一和第二纵向线折叠纵向条。
29.如权利要求28所述的方法,其中,第一纵向线靠近在对置的纵向边之间的带的横向中心,而第二纵向线靠近其中之一纵向对置的边缘。

用一种胶粘剂将第一部分粘合到第二部分上。

32.如权利要求25所述的方法,其中,还包括在上述形成细长条之前将一层材料涂布到细长条的一个表面上。
33.如权利要求32所述的方法,其中,材料层包括一种机织物。
34.如权利要求32所述的方法,其中,材料层包括一种非织造织物。
35.一种建筑覆盖物用的板条,包括:
一个向上凸的第一细长侧,该第一细长侧具有左和右纵向边缘;和
一个向下凸的第二细长侧,该第二细长侧具有左和右纵向边缘,第一侧的左和右纵向边缘与第二侧的左和右纵向边缘共同伸展;
其中第一和第二细长侧都包括一个纤维垫,该纤维垫具有设置在纤维垫内的树脂,纤维垫具有弹性而柔性的。
36.如权利要求35所述的板条,其中,第一和第二细长侧包括一个单件连续的纤维垫,该纤维垫具有第一和第二端并沿着第一或第二细长侧的左或右边缘被折叠。
37.如权利要求35所述的板条,其中,纤维垫包括玻璃纤维。
