Abstract

发明背景
近期的一些专利,如美国专利5,285,708和5,375,495披露了一些动力锯的光学对准系统,这些动力锯具有圆形的刀片。具有代表性的,这样的光学对准系统利用单一的激光发生器向工件上投射一条线来指示位置,刀片的一侧将在这个位置上切入工件从而帮助切削工件。
因为动力锯刀片具有变化的厚度,有必要用既经济又方便的方式提供一种光学系统用来精确地指示出材料将被刀片切去的宽度。
发明内容
本发明的一个实施例提供一种安装在刀具上的光学系统,该刀具具有支撑刀片的基底和机架。光学系统可以在基底上投射第一和第二条指示线。光学系统还可以包括一机构,该机构可以有选择性地调节第一和第二条线以指示刀片的宽度。

本发明的详细描述
现在参考这些为了说明本发明而不是限制本发明的附图,应该理解为了使附图清晰,在图中略去了那些在本领域普通专业人员认知范围内同时并不能帮助理解本发明各个实施例的部件或特征。另外,应该理解这里所描述的各个部件以及方向的特征属于相对特征,即所谓的“垂直的”或“水平的”、“右”或“左”、“侧面”、“上部”或“下部”都是基于在特殊应用中某个给定部件的特定位置或方向。
图1和图2是具有基底22和机架24的刀具20的一个实施例的部分透视图。机架24支撑刀片26,刀片利用传统的电动马达(未示出)绕A-A轴转动并且可以包括上部刀片护刃器28和可移动的下部刀片护刃器30。参看图2,刀片26具有两个侧面50和52,它们限定了刀片26的切削宽度。如果象在通常的应用中那样刀片26具有碳化物齿状刀刃,刀刃的最外表面限定了切削宽度并且由刀片26的侧面50和52构成。刀具20可以是任意圆锯,如斜切锯、平锯、旋臂锯、切割锯、手持圆锯、切割框锯、复式滑动斜切锯等等,当然也可以是任何其它的非圆形锯。在本领域中,这些锯的制造和操作是已知的,因此,如果一些内容没有超出想应用本发明各个实施例的本领域普通技术人员所知道的范围,就不描述那些细节了。
参看图2到图9,刀具20的光学对准系统40的一个实施例可以安装在上部护刃器28上。在一个实施例中,光学对准系统40包括第一和第二激光发生器42和44,它们分别安装在第一和第二固定器46和48中。固定器46和48分别具有圆柱形部分41和47,当固定器46和48安装到上部护刃器28上时,圆柱形部分分别具有和刀片26的轴线A-A平行的轴线A1-A1,A2-A2。固定器46和48还可以包括侧向调节部分51和57并且可以以可滑动的方式由上部刀片护刃器28支撑使得它们可以在箭头“D”和“E”所表示的侧向沿各自的轴线A1-A1和A2-A2相对于刀片26做侧向移动。
在一个实施例中,上部护刃器28的右壁21和左壁23可以包括多个开口,这些开口具有可滑动地支撑固定器46和48的表面部分。开口还可以帮助将固定器46和48安装到上部护刃器28上。例如,参看图7,左壁23可以包括圆形左侧孔120,它具有与固定器46、48的圆柱形部分41、47的左端122相接触的支撑面121。右壁21可以包括右侧开口124,其尺寸和形状适于容纳固定器46和48。开口124也可以包括与固定器46、48的圆柱形部分41、47的右端126相接触的支撑面123。
在将固定器46、48通过右侧开口124插入到上部护刃器28的右壁21和左壁23之间后,可以将它们按箭头“F”和“G”的方向旋转到工作位置。参看图1,可以确定工作位置使得当刀片26在它远离基底22的最高位置时,激光发生器42、44投射的光穿过刀具20的下部护刃器30的开口98。可以在与箭头F和G所示方向相反的方向旋转固定器46、48来将固定器从上部护刃器28上移去。应该理解在将固定器46、48从上部护刃器28上移去或者安装到上部护刃器28上的过程中,可以先将激光发生器42、43从固定器46、48上移去。
参看附图3a,更为特别地是第一和第二激光发生器42、44可以安装在它们各自的固定器46、48上使得它们在侧向上偏离刀片26并且位于刀片相对的两个侧面50和52上。激光发生器42、44可以通过电缆128由电池或者刀具电源供电。在后一种情况,转换器可以连接到激光发生器42、44上以将刀具电源的交流电转换为适于激光发生器42、44的直流电,并且将电源电压减小到适于激光发生器42、44的电压。参看图2,在一个实施例中,可以通过一个专用开关43控制激光发生器42、44,这个开关可以位于上部刀片护刃器28上。在一些应用中,可以利用刀具20的电开关控制激光发生器42、44的电源,从而当刀具20通电时激光发生器42、44通电。
激光发生器42、44包括可以产生扇束光的商业型激光发生器,即能在工件上产生光线的发生器,这里可以采用中国和台湾的Sean &Stephen公司生产的型号为1894的激光线发生器。在一个实施例中,每个激光发生器42、44都可以定制为包括一个柄装置84,例如一个螺母或者套筒扳手,它们安装在包围激光发生器42、44的激光组件89的圆筒85上,见图14。
参看图4a和图4b,为了防止激光发生器42、44在固定器46、48内的意外旋转,一个摩擦插入件86可以由固定器46、48支撑以与激光发生器42、44的侧表面摩擦接触。摩擦插入件86可以由泡沫材料、橡胶或其它材料制成,它们可以增加激光发生器42、44在侧表面处的摩擦系数。
另外,参看图14,可以定制激光组件85的光学镜头使得它所产生的扇束光以轴线B-B为中心呈大约30°的扇形角β,而不是典型商用激光线发生器的60°的扇形角β。较窄的扇形角可以产生具有更大强度的激光束,这样即使在阳光直接照射下激光束仍然是可见的。
在一个实施例中,可以用可拆装的盖45保护光学对准系统40,这个盖用紧固件13连接到上部刀片护刃器28上,这些紧固件可以选用螺丝,当然也可以选用其它的固定装置或卡扣装置。参看图2和图9,盖45可以包括开口133,这些开口提供通向固定器46、48的侧向调节特征的通道,这将在下面描述。盖45可以利用聚合材料经模制形成为一个单一件,也可以利用其它已知技术制造。
参看图10,在一个实施例中,当向激光发生器42、44通电后,它们将两条指示线62、64投射在基底22或者基底22所支撑的工件25上。也就是说,第一激光发生器42投射出“左”指示线62,第二激光发生器44投射出“右”指示线64。光学对准系统40还可以包括几个调节机构,应用它们调节指示线62、64互相之间或者相对于刀片26的间距、位置以及方向,从而指示出将被刀片26去除的工件材料宽度或者“锯缝”100。
图12a到图12d示出了基底22的一部分,还示出了两条指示线62和64。尽管在这些图中没有示出工件25和刀片26,在图中用虚线示出了锯缝100,从而给出了相对于锯缝100的指示线的各种调节。图12a具有不平行关系的右指示线62和左指示线64。参看图11、12a和12b,可以通过绕它们各自的纵向轴线B-B旋转每个激光发生器42和44使得各个指示线62和64分别与刀片26的侧面平行,这样就实现了平行调节,并且限定了锯缝100。可以应用安装在激光发生器42和44上的柄84帮助绕它们各自的纵向轴线B-B旋转激光发生器42和44。
可以通过在侧向移动固定器46和48以实现侧向粗调节,从而调节刀片26或所切削锯缝100在左右指示线62和64之间的宽度,如图12b和12c所示,这两条指示线相对于锯缝100在侧向移动。如图3a所示,为了帮助这样的调节,第一固定器46可以包括与轴线A1-A1平行的第一螺纹孔66和与第一孔66正交的第二螺纹孔70。与之类似,可以从图4b看出,第二固定器48可以包括与轴线A2-A2平行的第一螺纹孔68和与第一孔68正交的第二螺纹孔72。第一粗调节促动器74和78可以以螺栓的形式形成,它们可以穿过上部刀片护刃器28的左右壁23、21中的孔132、132’、134、134’,并且可以由各个第一孔66和68容纳以在侧向移动各自的固定器46、48。壁孔132、132’、134、134’与第一螺纹孔66和68对准。粗调节紧固件80、82可以用来锁定粗调节促动器70和74,粗调节紧固件可以采用固定螺丝。
参看图4a和4b,可以通过将激光发生器42和44支撑在从固定器46和48悬臂伸出的杆或套管88上来提供指示线62和64的侧向微调。在一个实施例中,每个激光发生器42和44都被支撑在它们各自的固定器46和48的套管88的中心孔87内,其中各个固定器46和48用开口83容纳套管88。每个套管88可以具有从套管每侧伸出的第一和第二端部短小突出部分90和92,并且可以通过第一端部短小突出部分90悬臂伸出,这个短小突出部分可以放置在各个固定器46和48的腔室91中。应该理解可以应用其它的方式将激光发生器42、44支撑在悬臂杆88上并且将这样的杆88安装在固定器44和46上。
可以在固定器46和48的开口140中容纳微调促动器90,微调促动器可以是螺丝或其它紧固件的形式。可以操作微调促动器94向套管88的第二端部短小突出部分92施加力使套管88偏转并且在箭头C示出的方向上相对于各个固定器46和48的轴线A1-A1和A2-A2移动。参看图12d,套管88的偏转使得各个激光发生器42和44以类似的形式移动,从而各条指示线62和64以平行的方式移动。
可以通过旋转六角螺母96操作微调促动器94。可以校准套管88和微调促动器94使得螺母96完全旋转一周对应于一个预定的移动量。例如,在一个实施例中,螺母96完全旋转一周对应于1/32”的侧向移动。那些本领域普通专业人员能够理解根据前面粗调节所调节的靠近程度可能需要一次或者多次微调操作才能将指示线62、64调节到对应于刀片26侧面50和52的平面上。
可以提供一个偏置止挡件95使之靠紧套管88的第二端部短小突出部分92从而向预定位置偏置第二端部短小突出部分92,例如使之与各个固定器46和48的内表面99接触。止挡件95可以用任何弹性材料制成,如橡胶。应该理解可以利用其它的偏置装置,例如普通的卷簧。偏置止挡件95可以用螺丝或其它形式的支撑装置所构成的紧固件136固定。套管88可以包括腔室138来容纳摩擦插入件86。
如果提供了下部护刃器30的话,激光发生器42、44的激光可以穿过下部护刃器30的底表面31。下部护刃器30的底表面31由具有可接受光透射性质的材料制成,如具有最小化激光变形和/或分散的透明度指数的玻璃或聚合物。另一种办法是在下部护刃器30的底表面31上提高一个或多个开口98,例如图1所示的一系列狭缝或百叶窗式狭缝。
如图1所示,开口98的方向可以基本与下部护刃器30的周边33垂直,或者与周边33平行。当开口98的方向与下部护刃器30的周边33垂直时,参看图10,所投射的指示线62和64在基底22或工件25上类似于虚线形式。
在一个实施例中,开口98的形状可以通过画一系列径向线142来确定,这些径向线从上部刀片护刃器28上的一点“X”发出。点X可以位于第一和第二激光发生器42和44的中间。可以调节限定开口98侧面的两条相邻径向线142之间的角度“γ”以实现指示线62、64的虚线的理想长度与间距。
通过操作上面描述的调节结构,可以调节指示线62和64使得它们平行刀片26的第一和第二侧面50和52。另外,可以调整指示线62和64使得它们分别与刀片26的侧面50和52相切,或者使它们落在刀片26的宽度(或锯缝100)之内,并且这样它们也就落在将要被刀片26去除的材料宽度之内。在后一种情况,即调节指示线62和64使它们落在锯缝100之内时,指示线62和64的一些部分可能被刀片26遮断,从而指示线62和64可能呈间断状,即具有空白或阴影部分。图11给出了一个这样的例子,其中刀片26的宽度使得左指示线62间断(碰到齿状插入件),而右指示线64是不间断的并且与刀片26的右侧面52相切。
在操作中,如图12a所示,可以给光学系统40通电使之向靠近锯缝100的侧面102和104投射指示线62和64。参看图12b,利用柄84,可以绕纵向轴线B-B旋转每个激光发生器42和44直到指示线62和64与锯缝100的相应侧面平行。然后参看图12c,可以操作粗调节促动器74和78滑动相应的固定器46和48使它们靠近或远离刀片26,从而指示线62和64位于锯缝100的不同侧并且靠近锯缝的侧面102和104。最后如图12d所示,操作微调促动器94使得一条或两条指示线62和64与锯缝侧面102和104的外沿重合。
如结合图11所解释的,如果需要,可以将指示线62和64置于锯缝100之内,例如紧靠锯缝一个侧面102或104的内沿。在这种情况,如图11所示,刀片26的部分可能中断或遮住相应指示线62或64的一部分。
另外,象斜切锯这样的刀具,当上部护刃器28降低并且使刀片位于切削位置时,下部护刃器30旋转从而将刀片26暴露出来。因此,当刀片26降低时,由于指示线不再穿过下部护刃器30,指示线62和64可能从虚线变成实线。因此,参看图13,指示线62和64可能投射到工件25的侧表面上,指示出笔直或倾斜的切削并且在垂直或倾斜的方向引导刀片26。
所提供的具有多个并且可以有选择操作的调节机构的两个激光发生器42和44在很大程度上帮助了沿预定线对工件25的切削并且去除预定量材料的操作。利用各种具有不同宽度和齿排列的刀片可以精确并且方便地实施切削操作。
应该理解尽管参考激光发生器描述了光学对准系统,根据本发明的精神并结合平行、粗调节和微调机构,可以利用其它能够在工件上投射清晰指示线的光源。
尽管为了说明本发明而不是限制本发明的目的在这里描述了本发明的特殊实施例,本领域技术人员应该理解在本发明的原理和范围内可以对细节、材料和部件布置进行变化而不偏离本发明的精神。因此前面的描述不想限制本发明的范围。本发明的范围只由所附权利要求及它们的等同物确定。
Claims (34)
1.一种刀具包括:
一个基底;
一个机架,机架安装在基底上并且支撑一个具有第一和第二侧面的可旋转刀片;
一个光学系统,它可调节地由机架支撑以可调节地在基底上投射第一和第二指示线用来指示刀片的宽度。
2.如权利要求1所述的刀具,其中所述的光学系统包括:
第一激光发生器,它发射激光并且安装在由所述机架支撑的第一固定器上;和
第二激光发生器,它发射激光并且安装在由所述机架支撑的第二固定器上。

5.如权利要求4所述的刀具,其中所述的第一固定器支撑第一微调器,可以有选择地操作第一微调器从而在所述的第一固定器内移动所述的第一激光发生器,使得第一指示线相对于刀片第一侧面在侧向移动。
6.如权利要求5所述的刀具,其中所述的第一微调器包括:
第一套管,它从所述的第一固定器上悬臂伸出并且支撑地容纳位于其中的所述的第一激光发生器;和
第一微促动器,它由所述的第一固定器可调节地支撑并且可以有选择地操作以相对于所述的第一固定器偏转第一套管。
7.如权利要求6所述的刀具,其中第一套管在预定的方向向所述的第一固定器偏置。
8.如权利要求2所述的刀具,进一步包括第一旋转调节器,它与第一激光发生器连接在一起,用来有选择地相对于刀片的第一侧面旋转第一指示线。
9.如权利要求8所述的刀具,进一步包括第一摩擦插入件,它被支撑在所述的第一固定器内并且与所述的第一激光发生器摩擦接触。
10.如权利要求3所述的刀具,进一步包括一个与所述的机架和所述的第二固定器连接的第二粗调节器,可以有选择地操作第二粗调节器从而在所述的机架上侧向移动第二固定器,使得所述的第二激光发生器所产生的第二指示线相对于刀片在侧向移动。
11.如权利要求10所述的刀具,其中所述的第二固定器支撑第二微调器,可以有选择地操作第二微调器从而在所述的第二固定器内移动所述的第二激光发生器,使得第二指示线相对于刀片第二侧面在侧向移动。
12.如权利要求11所述的刀具,其中所述的第二微调器包括:
第二套管,它从所述的第二固定器上悬臂伸出并且支撑地容纳位于其中的所述的第二激光发生器;和
第二微促动器,它由所述的第二固定器可调节地支撑并且可以有选择地操作以相对于所述的第二固定器偏转第二套管。
13.如权利要求12所述的刀具,其中第二套管在预定的方向向所述的第二固定器偏置。
14.如权利要求2所述的刀具,进一步包括一个第二旋转调节器,它与第二激光发生器连接在一起,用来有选择地相对于刀片的第二侧面旋转第二指示线。
15.如权利要求14所述的刀具,进一步包括一个第二摩擦插入件,它被支撑在所述的第二固定器内并且与所述的第二激光发生器摩擦接触。
16.如权利要求2所述的刀具,其中光学系统连接机架的上部刀片护刃器。
17.如权利要求16所述的刀具,其中机架包括一个可移动下部护刃器,它允许至少一部分激光穿过。
18.如权利要求17所述的刀具,其中下部护刃器包括多个开口,至少一部分激光可以从开口中穿过。
19.如权利要求18所述的刀具,其中所述的开口具有侧面,沿着侧面的线相交于上部刀片护刃器上的一点。
20.一种刀具包括:
一个基底;
一个机架,机架支撑刀片,刀片具有第一和第二侧面,两个侧面限定了宽度,所述的第一侧面限定了第一平面,所述的第二侧面限定了第二平面;和
一个由机架可调节支撑的光学系统,用于可调节地在基底上投射两条指示线,光学系统包括一个调节机构,可以有选择地操作它来调节投射到基底上的至少一条线以指示所述的第一平面。
21.如权利要求20所述的刀具,其中所述指示线中的另一条线相对于第一条线投射到基底上,使得两条指示线之间的距离小于刀片的宽度。

33.一种指示被刀具刀片所去除材料的方法,其中刀具具有一个支撑刀片机架的基底,该方法包括:

在基底上投射第二指示线;和
有选择地调节第一和第二指示线以指示被刀片去除的材料。
34.一种切削工件的方法,包括:

在工件上投射两条指示线,所述的指示线被分开一段代表刀片宽度的距离;和
旋转所述的刀片穿过所述的工件,使得被刀片从工件上所去除的材料对应于所述指示线之间的所述距离。
