Abstract

本发明提供液晶显示装置的背照光组件构造。本发明的构造是安装于面板下部的液晶显示装置直下式背照光组件构造,包括:安装于面板下部的灯、通过开口部将光集中到面板下部的反射板,所述反射板以能在灯周围转动的方式安装并形成所述开口部,通过应用具有本发明反射板的背照光组件,能改善响应速度并与已有CRT类似提高动图像的画面品位,也能实现附加的高辉度。

Description

液晶显示装置的背照光组件构造
技术领域
本发明是关于一种液晶显示装置的背照光组件,更具体地说是关于为了能实现改善RT(响应时间)和提高辉度具有有反射板的闪亮(blink)式背照光构造的液晶显示装置的背照光组件构造。
背景技术
在液晶显示装置中,为了改善响应时间,使用高速响应用液晶的技术正在通用起来。并且,用VA、IPS、OCB等这样构造比通常的TN构造方面能够实现改善响应时间(RT)。除这样的面板构造以外,还能像CCD驱动方法那样在驱动上改善反应时间。
即使使用提高上述列举的各种响应速度的技术,也不可能实现象CRT那样的反应时间(RT)。
其理由是因为,CRT显示原理是脉冲光发射系统(impulse light-emitionsystem)。即,在帧(16.7ms、60Hz)期间进行一次发光(2~3ms)实现显示。
但是,因为LCD在一帧期间持续发光(16.7ms),所以与CRT比较,发生模糊(blur)现象。特别是,发生移动动图像场合的图像信号与使用者眼睛的不合适(mismatch)现象严重。这种现象不仅LCD,而且是象PDP、EL之类使用持续性(steady)光发出方法的显示装置共同现象。
如图1a和图1b所示,在显示的面板15下设置几个模块背照光11以后,实施与CRT显示装置相似原理的顺序地点灭,实现脉冲系统。
这时,为了获得可能满意程度的显示图像质量,与选通信号同时实行同步。换句话说,如图2中所示,位于给选通行施加信号的行下的背照光(backlight)11变成了动作状态(on state),如果将选通行信号移动就变成停止状态(off state)。即,背照光11的动作状态在显示器上从上到下逐渐地移动。
根据日本国日立(HITACHI)公司的研究资料,在具有6个灯的闪亮式背照光系统上,使用顺序点灭方式的场合,与持续地点亮配置灯的系统比较,减少16%的辉度,若把灯接通状态时间(duty time)设定为60%,就能够达到60%的辉度。
而且,维持接通状态时间越短,动图像越加鲜明而且形成辉度降低的折衷选择(trade-off)关系。根据日本国日立公司的研究资料报告,用于改善LCD动图像的画面模糊(blur)现象的最小接通状态时间设定为70%以上,才有改善效果。
并且,一般的发光体(CFL)的管内电流越大,灯的温度上升而使辉度效率越降低。
在闪亮式背照光系统(blink back light system)的情况下,因为灯在断开状态防止灯的温度上升,与稳定动作状态的灯比较,存在增加管内电流的余地,能够提高辉度。
这就是本发明为解决上述现有技术诸多问题而提出的方案,其目的在于提供一种具有安装了反射板的闪亮式背照光构造的液晶显示装置背照光组件构造。
发明内容
为了达到上述目的,本发明的液晶显示装置背照光组件构造是安装于面板下部的液晶显示装置直下式背照光组件构造,其特征在于包括:安装于面板下部的灯、通过开口部使光集中到面板下部的反射板,所述反射板以能在灯周围转动的方式安装并形成有所述开口部。
本发明以上的这个目的和其它特征以及优点等,可以从对以下参照本发明最佳实施例的说明变得更清楚。

图2是用于说明图1液晶显示装置的闪亮式背照光组件驱动原理的示意图。

具体实施方式
以下,参照添加了本发明液晶显示装置的背照光组件构造的附图进行详细说明。
图3a是具有本发明反射板的部件背照光组件平面图,图3b是通过图3a的IIIb-IIIb的线剖面图,图3c是图3b的A部放大剖面图。
图4是关于本发明液晶显示装置的背照光随时间而变化的光方向与显示区域的变化图。
并且,图5是具有本发明反射板的闪亮式背照光组件立体图,图6是具有本发明另一实施例的反射板的闪亮式背照光组件剖面图。
本发明中提出以下方法,即,着眼于能够获得鲜明动图像这一点,使得闪亮式背照光系统中可以减少接通状态时间(duty time),可在不降低辉度下减少接通状态时间。
本发明的液晶显示装置的背照光组件构造,如图3a到图3c所示,在使反射板27隔离到一定区域程度以后,借助于转动装置31转动背照光灯23。这里未说明标号29是显示区域。
这时,使背照光灯23的转动速度与选通信号扫描速度一致是重要的。即,把背照光集中到与信号同步的像素上。
并且,为了使背照光灯反射板的构造能够集中光,而由挖有开口部或孔的圆形构造制成,。
上述方法是用闪亮式背照光组件,理论上可把动作状态时间减少到选通扫描时间,能使动图像模糊现象的改善和光效率达到极大,使辉度提高。
图5是详细图解表示具有本发明反射板的闪亮式背照光组件的立体图,而且是表示借助于转动驱动装置31独立转动反射板27的图。
作为本发明的另外实施例,如图6所示,固定灯23a以后,只让反射板27转动,实现闪亮式背照光组件21。这时,使反射板27的转动速度与选通扫描速度一致。
正如上述说过的一样,倘若采用具有本发明反射板的液晶显示装置的背照光组件,通过应用具有本发明反射板的背照光组件,就能够改善响应速度,与已有的CRT相类似地提高动图像的画面品位,也能实现附加的高辉度。
另一方面,本发明不限于详述过的特定理想的实施例,不仅提出要求专利保护范围内的本发明要旨,而且也包括本发明所属领域内普通技术人员可能实施各种各样的变更。

Claims (8)

1.一种液晶显示装置的背照光组件构造,是安装于面板下部的液晶显示装置直下式背照光组件构造,其特征在于包括:安装于面板下部的灯、通过开口部使光集中到面板下部的反射板,所述反射板以能在灯周围转动的方式安装并形成有所述开口部。
2.按照权利要求1所述的液晶显示装置的背照光组件构造,其特征在于:借助于使灯随着反射板转动的并形成在反射板上的开口部使光集中到面板下部,所述反射板在述所述灯上构成为一体。
3.按照权利要求2所述的液晶显示装置的背照光组件构造,其特征在于:由能使带有所述反射板的灯的闪亮转动速度与选通扫描同步的构造构成。
4.按照权利要求2所述的液晶显示装置的背照光组件构造,其特征在于:为了使灯与所述反射板一起转动,而在所述背照光组件上装有转动驱动装置,使灯和反射板转动。
5.按照权利要求1所述的液晶显示装置的背照光组件构造,其特征在于:在所述直下式背照光组件上用与灯独立的构造形成反射板以后,用使反射板转动的构造构成。
6.按照权利要求4所述的液晶显示装置的背照光组件构造,其特征在于:所述反射板具有一个转动速度,该转动速度能使被反射板反射的光朝向施加选通信号的选通行正下方照射。
7.按照权利要求5所述的液晶显示装置的背照光组件构造,其特征在于:在所述背照光组件上装有转动驱动装置,使灯和反射板转动。
8.按照权利要求1所述的液晶显示装置的背照光组件构造,其特征在于:所述背照光组件动作时灯点亮,所述背照光组件停止时灯熄灭。
