Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种高速、摄影质量打印机。具体地,本发明涉及用于从一摞打印介质分离一张打印介质的设备,其中,所述打印介质是多孔的。
背景技术
申请人已开发出多种不同的提供高速、摄影质量打印的打印头。打印头包括排列为一密集阵列的喷墨喷嘴。为提供该摄影质量的打印,该喷嘴被设置为提供高达每英寸1600点(dpi)的分辨率。
所述喷墨喷嘴使用微电子机械系统(MEMS)技术形成。使用MEMS技术能够获得非常高速的打印性能,其中可以每秒2页的速率进行打印(对于双面打印)。为便于该高速打印,首先,重要的是进送给该打印机的打印台的纸张或打印介质被精确地对齐,且能够在尽可能少量出现卡纸或者类似的情况下获得期望的进给速率。其次,该纸张必须能够被以足以能够充分使用该打印台的高速打印能力的速率送进至该打印台。
发明内容
根据本发明,提供一种从一摞打印介质中分离一张打印介质的设备,所述打印介质是多孔的,且该设备包括:
一种介质传送装置,用于将已从该摞打印介质分离的最顶层打印介质传送至打印机的打印台;
分离装置,与所述介质传送装置相联系,用于将该层打印介质从该摞打印介质分离开,所述分离装置包括流体传输装置,用于将流体吹送至该摞介质的顶面以有效地将该最顶层打印介质从该摞介质分离开。
获取装置,由该介质传送装置携载,用于获取所述最顶层介质的至少一部分,且用于使该介质传送装置便于将所述最顶层介质传送至该打印台。
该介质传送装置可包括拾取组件,用于从该摞介质拾取最顶层介质。该拾取组件可包括形式为棒或管的细长元件,和多个位移辅助装置,用于辅助该最顶层介质从该摞介质移开一段距离,该位移辅助装置被沿该细长元件的长度间隔一段距离设置。
该细长元件可定义多个流体端口,且每个位移辅助装置包括一占用面积限定部分,其围绕所述端口中的一个并自该细长元件悬垂。更具体地,每个位移辅助装置可以是垫或盘的形式,在使用中,其从该细长元件垂下朝向该摞介质。每个垫可以从容纳在一个该细长元件的流体端口中的空心杆悬垂。该杆可以限定一通道。
该流体输送装置可包括多个流体供应管道,每一个管道与该细长元件的一个流体端口流体连通,仅有某些流体端口具有与其相联系的流体供应管道,其余流体端口不与该流体供应管道流体连通。
该流体供应管道可以被连接至并与一流体供应汇集管连通。
该获取装置可以是流体吸取装置,该获取装置包括多个流体吸取管道,每个流体吸取管道与该细长元件的一个其余的流体端口流体连通。
该流体吸取管道可以被连接至并与一流体抽取汇集管连通。
该拾取组件可操作来从该摞介质提起该最顶层介质并将其进送给该打印台。可在该打印台的入口设置一对压轮。在一优选实施例中,该拾取组件的棒被安装在一对间隔的摇动臂上并可相对于该摇动臂转动。该摇动臂又被固定地安装于一轴上,该轴被可旋转地支撑于打印机上。因此,为便于该拾取组件的棒的运动,该流体供应导管和该流体吸取导管呈挠性软管的形式。
该设备可包括一流体供应装置,用于向流体供应汇流管提供流体以提供给所述流体供应管道,和一流体抽取装置,用于从流体抽取汇流管中抽取流体以在该流体吸取管道中产生吸取作用。该设备可进一步包括驱动该流体供应装置和流体抽取装置的驱动装置。该流体供应装置和流体抽取装置每一个可以分别为气泵和抽气泵的形式。
驱动装置可以是驱动电机。该气泵可以安装在该驱动电机的第一输出轴上,而抽气泵安装在该驱动电机的一相对的、第二输出轴上。
该设备可以进一步包括一控制装置,用于控制向该流体供应汇流管供应流体和从该流体抽取汇流管抽取流体。该控制装置可包括设置在每个流体供应汇流管和流体抽取汇流管中的阀。优选的,可电磁地操作每个阀。更具体的,每个阀可以是设置在该流体供应汇流管的进口和该流体吸取汇流管的出口中的电磁阀的形式。

具体实施例
首先参考图1,其中示出打印机的一部分,通常其以参考标号10来标识。打印机10为一高速打印机,其以大约每秒一至两张或每秒两至四页(即一张的两面)的速度打印介质的两面。在此情况下,打印介质为成摞的形式。为便于说明,以下将参考为一摞A4打印纸且更具体的,为具有预定孔隙率程度的若干纸张的打印介质来对本发明加以描述。
打印机10为实现高速打印,具有一打印台12,其包括一对相对的打印头14。每个打印头14为MEMS芯片的形式,具有喷墨喷嘴阵列来获得所期望的高速、摄影质量的打印。所述喷嘴被设置在密集的阵列中以提供高达每英寸1600点(dpi)的分辨率,以易于进行摄影质量打印。
打印台12包括一组初级滚轮16,包括驱动滚轮18和从动滚轮20。该组初级滚轮16设置在打印台12的打印头14的上游以将一纸张传送至打印头14。
如上所述,打印介质被放置为一摞30。该摞纸张30被容纳在打印机10的一个容纳箱(未示出)中,且被保持在一适合的机盒中(也未示出)紧靠该打印机10的金属隔板(也未示出)。
打印机10包括一设备32,根据本发明,该设备形成一纸张进给装置的一部分,用于将一张纸从该摞纸30进给至该组初级滚轮16的滚轮18和20,以便可将该纸张传送至打印台12进行打印。该纸张进给装置包括一枢轴棒或枢轴34,其被步进电机36可旋转地驱动。在该轴34的每一端设有一个摇动臂38。
该设备32包括一拾取组件40。该拾取组件40包括一细长元件或拾取棒42。该拾取棒42紧接该摇动臂38的自由端被可旋转的地支撑于该摇动臂38之间。因此,当该摇动臂38绕该轴34的旋转轴转动时,可使该拾取棒42绕该轴34的旋转轴转动。
该设备32包括一在该拾取棒42上携载的分离装置44。该分离装置44将该最顶层30.1纸张从该摞纸30分开。该分离装置44包括形式为多个供应管道46的流体输送装置,所述流体供应管道46以间隔距离沿该棒42的长度设置。每一个管道46为挠性软管的形式。
如图3清晰可见,拾取棒42具有多个交互的流体端口48,50。每个流体管道46的出口端变宽大通向该棒42的一个流体端口48。每个管道46的一相对的入口端被连接至流体供应汇流管52。
该设备32进一步包括一获取装置54,由该拾取棒42携载,用于在该最顶层纸30.1已从该摞纸30分离后,获取该层纸30.1的至少一部分,以便使该拾取棒42易于将该最顶层纸张30.1传送至该打印台12,以下将对其进行更加详细的描述。
获取装置54包括多个流体吸取管道56,其与分离装置44的流体供应管道46以交替的关系排列。该流体吸取管道56也为挠性软管的形式,每一个具有与该拾取棒42的流体端口50连通的入口端。每个管道56的出口端被插入流体抽取汇流管58。
拾取组件40进一步包括多个围绕每一流体端口48、50的位移辅助装置或垫60。每个垫60具有一杆部分62(图4),其突入该棒42中并视情况被连接至流体供应管道46的出口端或一个流体吸取管道56的入口端。而每个位移辅助装置可以是弹性杯。每个杯通过驱动装置以弹簧的形式安装在该拾取棒42上以符合具有波纹等的该摞30介质的表面。
设备32包括形式为驱动电机64的驱动装置(图1)。一气泵66安装在电机64一端的输出轴上,一抽取泵68安装在电机64相对端的输出轴上。气泵66通过安装在汇流管52入口端处的螺线管操作的阀70与流体供应汇流管52连通。抽取泵68通过另一螺线管操作的阀72与抽取汇流管58的输出端连通。
如上所述,打印机10为一高速打印机,其能够以每秒一张的速度进行打印。为利用该能力,重要的是以精确、受控的方式一张一张单独地将纸张从该摞纸30进送给该打印台12。因此,该设备32有必要精确地从该摞纸30中分离一张纸以将其传送至打印台12。
此外,本发明特别用于多孔的打印介质,例如80gsm的纸张。
在使用中,为使该最顶层纸张30.1与该摞纸张30分开,使该拾取棒42靠近该张纸的上表面但保持为使该垫60与该最顶层纸张30.1的顶面间隔一小段距离,例如,0.1至0.2mm。阀70被打开且阀72被关闭。驱动电机64被操作来使气体穿过流体供应汇流管52流进每个流体供应管46。气体通过端口48排出,并被吹送至该最顶层纸张30.1的顶面。由于纸张的多孔性,该气体还被驱动穿过该最顶层纸张30.1并接触该摞纸张的从上往下数的第二张纸。这造成该摞纸张30的最顶层纸张30.1与其余纸张初始分离。
而且,在每个垫60的底面和该摞纸30的顶层纸张30.1之间产生的局部的低压造成该最顶层纸张30.1至少被吸引至与该流体供应管道46相联系的拾取组件40的那些垫60。由于气体穿过最顶层纸张30.1,因此有助于该最顶层纸张30.1与该摞纸30的其余纸张的分离。
当该最顶层纸张30.1从该摞纸张30中就其下的纸张提起时,该最顶层纸张30.1的前缘升起。一旦如此,阀70关闭同时阀72打开。打开阀72使气体吸入拾取棒42的口50,穿过流体吸取管道56并从流体抽取汇流管58流出。结果,该最顶层纸张30.1的前缘被吸取至少紧靠与流体吸取管道56相联系的那些垫60,如图5所示,且被保持紧靠那些垫60被约束。此时,拾取棒42持续沿箭头74的方向绕轴34旋转。拾取组件40继续沿箭头74旋转直到该最顶层纸张30.1的前缘进送至该组滚轮16的滚轮18和20之间。阀72被关闭以释放该最顶层纸张30.1上的吸力,使该组滚轮16的滚轮18,20将纸张30.1进送至该打印台12的打印头14。一旦该纸张30.1的后缘离开该组件40的垫60,该拾取组件40返回图4所示的位置,以准备将下一张纸进送给打印台12。
将会理解与该摞纸30的最顶层纸张30.1的表面平行的气流产生一低摩擦垫,其便于纸张30.1相对于拾取棒42的平移运动。这允许通过任何适当的方法使该纸张30.1沿垂直于该拾取棒42的表面的方向移动,而不会妨碍该拾取棒42的拾取操作。其还有助于在将该纸张30.1进送给该组滚轮16时,使该纸张30.1的尾部保持相对于该摞纸30间隔一段距离。
申请人已发现气流沿初始“吹送”方向穿过流体供应管道46的速度并不重要,拾取棒42和该摞纸30的最顶层纸张30.1之间的间隔也并不重要。此外,假如该摞纸中的纸张具有一顶程度的多孔性,则该摞纸的重量或等级也不重要。典型的,当向该摞纸张30吹送气体时,流体供应管道46中存在大约5kPa的压力。以大约1l/s的速度供应气体,且该气体以大约1kPa的压力、大约50m/s的速度离开该垫60和最顶层纸张30.1之间的空隙。已发现该设备32可使用从等级为40gsm的纸张至高分辨率、摄影质量的喷墨纸操作。
申请人意外发现,通过将气体吹送至该摞纸30上,可便于实现纸张的分离。这与人的直觉完全相反,因为人们会预期吸入型机构的操作会更好。然而,假设该摞纸30具有一定程度的多孔性,则可很好地实现将最顶层纸张从该摞纸30分离。
所属领域普通技术人员将会理解,在不脱离如上广泛描述的本发明的精神或范围的情况下,可以如在具体实施例中所述对本发明进行多种变化和/或修改。因此,这些实施例在所有方面都应被认为是示例性的,而非限制性的。
Claims (14)
1、一种从一摞打印介质分离一张打印介质的设备,所述打印介质是多孔的且该设备包括:
介质传送装置,用于将从该摞打印介质分离的最顶层打印介质传送至打印机的打印台;以及
分离装置,与该介质传送装置相联系,用于从该摞打印介质分离该张打印介质,该分离装置包括流体输送装置,用于将流体吹送至该摞介质的顶面以实现该最顶层打印介质与该摞介质的分离;以及
获取装置,由该介质传送装置携载,用于获取所述最顶层纸张的至少一部分并用于帮助所述介质传送装置将所述最顶层介质传送至打印台。
2、根据权利要求1的设备,其中,所述介质传送装置包括用于从该摞介质拾取最顶层介质的拾取组件。
3、根据权利要求2的设备,其中,该拾取组件包括一细长元件和多个位移辅助装置,用于辅助该最顶层介质移离该摞介质,该位移辅助装置沿该细长元件的长度间隔排列。
4、根据权利要求3的设备,其中,所述细长元件限定多个流体端口,且每个位移辅助装置包括围绕一个端口且从该细长元件悬垂的占用面积限定部分。
5、根据权利要求4所述的设备,其中,该流体输送装置包括多个流体供应管道,每个管道与该细长元件的一个流体端口流体连通,仅有某些流体端口具有与它们相联的流体供应管道,其它流体端口则不与这些流体供应管道流体连通。
6、根据权利要求5所述的设备,其中,该流体供应管道被连接至一流体供应汇流管并与该汇流管连通。
7、根据权利要求6所述的设备,其中,该获取装置为流体吸取装置,该获取装置包括多个流体吸取管道,每个流体吸取管道与该细长元件的其余流体端口中的一个流体连通。
8、根据权利要求7所述的设备,其中,该流体吸取管道被连接至一流体抽取汇流管并与该流体抽取汇流管连通。
9、根据权利要求7所述的设备,其中,与该流体供应管道相联系的该流体端口和与该流体吸取管道相联系的流体端口沿该细长元件的长度相互交替。
10、根据权利要求8所述的设备,其包括一流体供应装置,用于向该流体供应汇流管提供流体以供应给该流体供应管道,和一流体抽取装置,用于从该流体抽取汇流管抽取流体以在该流体吸取管道中产生吸取作用。
11、根据权利要求10所述的设备,其包括用于驱动该流体供应装置和流体抽取装置的驱动装置。
12、根据权利要求8所述的设备,其包括一控制装置,用于控制向该流体供应汇流管提供流体和从该流体抽取汇流管抽取流体。
13、根据权利要求12所述的设备,其中,该控制装置包括设置在每个该流体供应汇流管和流体抽取汇流管中的阀。
14、根据权利要求13所述的设备,其中,所述每一个阀被电磁地操作。
