Abstract

发明背景
选择临床试验的人员是一个高代价的过程。据估计,对于每个所选的参加人员来说它要花费药品公司几千美元。此外,有时、甚至在选择之后,由于不准确的或不正确的信息而必需放弃试验人员。这可能会延迟所述试验,由此导致大得多的花费。

发明概要
本发明提供了一种用于在临床试验中选择预期的参加人员的技术。
在本发明的各种实施例中,提供了一种方法,该方法包括接收对满足临床试验规定准则的预期的参加人员列表的请求。然后检索一组病人记录,以便确定满足所述规定准则的人员。

在步骤404中,通知所述人员:他或她可能有资格参加临床试验。可以直接地联系所述病人,或者通过医师间接地联系所述病人。就此,可以给与该病人关于临床试验的详细信息。诸如可以通过调查表来为附加信息而询问病人。所述调查表可用来确定用于研究的资格和/或作为获得附加有用信息的方式。
接下来,在步骤405中,判断该人员是否表明希望参与临床试验。如果该人员通知他或者她的医师有意去参加,那么控制继续到步骤406;否则在步骤408终止控制。
在步骤406中,获得发布的信息。就此,可以给所述人员提供一个允诺表格,或者把由他或她的医师提供给他的完整的一个表格寄给他。还可以提供涉及参加人员报酬的任何信息,包括偿还款项。控制继续到步骤407。
在步骤407中,可以确定费用和酬金。举例来说,可以向请求病人列表的实体因病人列表而索要适当的酬金。此外,所述医师和试验参加人员还可以因他们参与研究而获得报酬。控制继续到步骤408,其中所述操作停止。
如图1-4所示,优选的是,本发明利用通用计算机系统实现。然而,本发明的系统和方法可以利用一个或多个编程的通用计算机、编程的微处理器或者微控制器以及外围集成电路元件、ASIC或者其他集成电路、数字信号处理器、诸如分立元件电路的硬连接的电子或逻辑电路、诸如PLD、PLA、FPGA或者PAL等等的可编程逻辑器件的任何组合来实现。总的来说,能够实现有限状态机的任何装置都可用来实现此系统,所述有限状态机又能够实现图4中所示流程。
虽然已经参照附图在此描述了本发明的例证性实施例,但是应该理解的是,本发明不局限于那些具体的实施例,在不脱离本发明的范围或精神的情况下,本领域技术人员可以对其做出各种其他的改变和修改。
Claims (37)
1.一种用于在临床试验中选择预期的参加人员的系统,包括:
一个包含病人信息的数据源,所述病人信息中的至少一些病人信息从挖掘非结构化的病人记录而获得;以及
一个临床试验经纪装置,用于从所述数据源检索一组病人记录,并且生成满足与所述临床试验相关联的规定准则的人员列表。
2.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述临床试验经纪装置被配置为从一个或多个满足规定准则的人员中获得允诺。
3.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中对执行所述临床试验感兴趣的实体请求所述满足规定准则的人员列表。
4.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中保持满足规定准则的人员匿名,直到提供了允诺为止。
5.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中满足规定准则的人员列表包括临床试验的预合格人员。
6.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述数据源包括从多个医院收集的信息。
7.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述规定准则包括概率准则。
8.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所获得的病人记录包括概率信息。
9.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中需要确定病人在各个方面是否合格的信息不包括在所获得的病人记录中。
10.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中提供了与列表中每个人有关的信息。
11.如权利要求10所述的系统,其中所述信息包括涉及所述人员参与过的先前临床试验的信息。
12.一种用于在临床试验中选择预期的参加人员的方法,包括以下步骤:
接收对满足与临床试验相关联的规定准则的人员列表的请求;并且
从数据源检索一组病人记录以便确定满足所述规定准则的人员。
13.如权利要求12所述的方法,进一步包括步骤:
从一个或多个满足所述规定准则的人员中获得参与该临床试验的允诺;以及
输出从其获得了允诺的人员列表。
14.如权利要求13所述的方法,还包括向对执行所述临床试验感兴趣的实体转发人员列表的步骤。
15.如权利要求13所述的方法,其中获得允诺的步骤包括以下步骤:
选择与满足所述规定准则的人员相关联的的医师;
从每个所选择的医师中请求批准参加;以及
如果批准人员的医师提供了参与所述临床试验的批准,那么向满足所述规定准则的人员提供允诺信息。
16.如权利要求13所述的方法,其中获得允诺包括向医师通知他们的机构审查委员会状态。
17.如权利要求16所述的方法,其中获得允诺进一步包括向已接收状态的医师转发他们的机构审查委员会批准的期满日。
18.如权利要求14所述的方法,其中从对执行所述临床试验感兴趣的实体接收人员列表的请求。
19.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中满足所述规定准则的人员的匿名被保持,直到提供了允诺为止。
20.如权利要求12所述的方法,进一步包括提供调查表的步骤。
21.如权利要求20所述的方法,其中所述调查表用于确定符合临床试验的资格。
22.如权利要求14所述的方法,其中向请求病人列表的实体因病人列表索要费用。
23.如权利要求14所述的方法,其中向参与临床试验的人员会给予报酬。
24.如权利要求15所述的方法,其中向参加的医师给予补偿。
25.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中所述数据源是数据仓库。
26.如权利要求25所述的方法,其中所述数据仓库利用从挖掘非结构化的病人记录而获得的信息来填充。
27.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中从药品公司接收所述请求。
28.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中所述数据源包括从多个医院收集的信息。
29.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中所述规定准则包括概率值。
30.如权利要求29所述的方法,其中所述概率值包括可信区间。
31.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中所获得的病人记录包括概率信息。
32.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中需要用来确定病人是否在各个方面都合格的信息不包括在所获得的病人记录中。
33.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中生成与列表中每个人员有关的信息。
34.如权利要求12所述的方法,其中所述信息包括涉及所述人员参与过的先前临床试验的信息。
33.一种机器可读的程序存储设备,确实地包括一个指令程序,该指令程序可在机器上执行,以实施用于在临床试验中选择预期的参与人员的方法步骤,所述方法步骤包括:
接收对满足与临床试验相关联的规定准则的人员列表的请求;并且
从数据源中检索一组病人记录,以便确定满足所述规定准则的人员。
34.一种用于为个体病人选择预期的临床试验的系统,包括:
临床试验数据库;
包含病人信息的数据源;和
临床试验经纪装置,用于生成满足与临床试验相关联的规定准则的病人的临床试验列表。
35.如权利要求34所述的系统,其中包含病人信息的数据源中的至少一些信息从挖掘非结构化的病人记录而获得。
