Durch eine Evakuierung des Vakuumkissens wird die augenblickliche Form des Vakuumkissens fixiert, so dass sich das Brustgewebe während der anschließend durchgeführten Magnetresonanzuntersuchung nicht verschieben oder bewegen kann. Durch den Einsatz des Vakuumkissens ist es möglich, die Lokalspule für unterschiedliche Brustgrößen einzusetzen, da die Fixierung des Brustgewebes durch das Vakuumkissen sichergestellt wird.
