Abstract
Description
The The invention relates to a method for determining the position of a Object based on received from a receiver of the object Navigation signals, the method in particular for safety-related Applications such as aviation and there in particular can be used when landing an aircraft.
The Determining the position of moving objects through satellite navigation signals always spreading. The receiver of the Object of multiple satellite navigation signals. Based on the received Navigation signals allow the transit times of the navigation signals and thus again the distances of the object to the individual Determine satellites. This in turn is the basis for the position determination of the object.
Man denke z. One Problem with the satellite navigation exists then if a Multipfadepfang is present. This means that the receiver of the object is a navigation signal a satellite both as a direct signal and as an echo signal receives. It is known to detect multipath reception situations and to use the direct and echo navigation signals for to process the position determination accordingly. Examples of multipath detection methods for determining a multipath reception are MUSIC, ML estimator and ESPRIT. In these methods, for determining the position (estimated) "best" solution indicated. Unfortunately, the best solution is not guaranteed the correct one is. Especially in situations with strong multi-way reception can relatively large Residual errors occur. Such a residual error can be for safety-critical Very dangerous to applications be. Think for B. to a landing approach, in which such Error to incorrect altitude information leads.
The invention is in the satellite navigation situations with strong multipath reception and potential errors / uncertainties to indicate when determining the position in a multipath reception.
- The receiver determines a potentially erroneous position of the object on the basis of a multipath payload of the navigation signals,
- - Using a multipath detection method based on a multipath pay potential error in determining the position of the object is determined and
- The potential position error or the fact that a potential position error exists is displayed.
In contrast, is So the basic idea of the invention, the multipath estimate not (Completely) to correct. Rather, the potential residual error is determined the recipient concerning his Would be subject to positioning. A receiver after the state of the art would his solution now correct with this error value. In contrast, according to the invention the potential residual error or the fact that such a potential Residual error is present, displayed. In other words, so will the receiver always for used the position determination of the object while implementing the multipath detection method is used to indicate the potential residual error or information about to give the circumstance that a potential residual error exists. exceeds this residual error is a threshold value, then according to the inventive concept by the recipient or the multipath detection method determined position not corrected more, but the measurement as a precaution as faulty or unreliable declared and for the position determination is no longer used. This inventively provided Approach is useful because with strong multi-way reception relatively short-term smaller estimation errors can arise the too big Cause pseudo orange errors can.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided to calculate the maximum possible residual error. This can be significantly influenced by the accuracy of the estimate of the phase of an echo navigation signal (and thus the phase shift to the direct navigation signal) to be determined. Because the multi-path estimators just estimate the phase with not too great accuracy. If one now sets the actually estimated phase value of an echo navigation signal to a less favorable value of, for example, 0 ° or 180 ° phase shift to the direct navigation signal in the extreme case, then the residual error increases. This "forced" increase in the potential residual error ensures that a faulty phase estimate can not artificially lower the alarm threshold. The phase shift estimate changes relatively quickly. In that regard, the advantage of the previously described further development of the method is to be seen in the "worst case" display, although in fact no such large residual error is present.
