Description
The invention relates to a solarization-resistant soda-lime glass. The invention also relates to a method for producing such glasses and their use.
Solar modules convert the light of the sun directly into electrical energy. The most important component of a solar module contains several solar cells, which are covered on the sun-facing side by means of a glass pane.
These cover glasses must not show solarisation over time and must therefore be solarisation resistant.
The change in the transmission of a glass during prolonged and intense sunlight is referred to as solarization. In the process, electron and hole centers are formed in the lattice which absorb in the near UV and visible frequency spectrum. In the process, the UV edge is shifted into the visible frequency range, so that increasingly pronounced absorption bands are slowly formed in the visible range with the duration of the sunlight, which visually discolor the glass and reduce transparency.
If these glass plates serve as cover plates for solar modules, the solar spectrum is already partly absorbed in the glass, so that the performance of the solar modules is reduced.
The transmission loss is also due to the presence of Fe 2 O 3 , which is always in small amounts as an impurity in the mixtures. Just as in other glasses of the prior art, an iron oxide content of at least 0.02% by weight can not be avoided with economic measures in the glasses according to the invention.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a solarization-resistant glass, which shows no degradation of the transmission in long-term use, although the glass batch has said impurities.
This object is achieved by a solarization-resistant soda lime glass with TiO 2 and / or CeO 2 , which is characterized by the following additional components PbO, SnO 2 , MoO 3 , WO 3 , CuO, Bi 2 O 3 , MnO 2 , Ag 2 O, F - in combination of at least two components, wherein the content of the components TiO 2 , CeO 2 , PbO, SnO 2 , WO 3 , Bi 2 O 3 , CuO and Ag 2 O in total 0.1 to 6 wt. -%, the content of the components Bi 2 O 3 and WO 3 in total 0.1 to 0.8 wt .-% and the β-OH content of the glasses is at least 25 and at most 80 mmol / l.
In addition, it is preferred that the glass has a β-OH content of> 25 mmol / l by the use of special, water-rich raw materials and an oxidizing melt.
This task is already solved by very small amounts of TiO 2 and CeO 2 . These components absorb in interaction with the other constituents of the matrix in a wavelength range of 300 to 350 nm. The solarization-inhibiting effect of these two components is not sufficient in the concentrations in which they are used in the glass according to the invention. Only through the additional components of the glass according to the invention, the advantageous effect can be achieved. The additional components, such. B. F - , thereby improving the solarization resistance without affecting the transmission of the glass.
According to one alternative, the soda-lime glass contains TiO 2 and not CeO 2 and is characterized by the following additional components: PbO, SnO 2 , MoO 3 , WO 3 , Bi 2 O 3 , CuO, Ag 2 O, MnO 2 and F - individually or in combination of at least two components. It has been shown that when CeO 2 is used as a UV absorber, the combination with CuO or MnO 2 is less useful, since the strong coloration of the higher-valued ions in the absorption can interfere noticeable.
It has been found that to TiO 2 and CeO 2 and TiO 2 only additional components PbO, SnO 2, MoO 3, WO 3, Bi 2 O 3, CuO, Ag 2 O, MnO 2, and F - the solarization improve when these components are used alone. It has also been found that the solarization resistance is improved even more when the components mentioned are used in the combination of at least two components. The content of TiO 2 should preferably be 0.05 to 0.1 wt .-%, preferably 0.04 to 0.07 wt .-%. Too high concentrations already cause a shift in the absorption edge in the UV range of 300-380 nm. Too low concentrations can not bring the solarization-inhibiting properties of this component to unfold.
Preferably, the soda-lime glass contains either sodium or potassium. The choice of raw materials is preferably to be chosen so that only one alkali so either only possible sodium or only potassium belongs to the glass components. This ensures that the recombination of the electrons and holes formed during solar irradiation takes place at smaller activation energies, that is to say that even at room temperature, a larger part of the separated charges recombines and thus the absorption resulting from the color centers decreases.
The inventively preferred increased β-OH content saturates the non-bridging oxygen binding, so that there can be no absorbing color centers. The β-OH content is greater than 25 mmol / l, due to an increased water content in soda-lime glass. In other words, said glass has an increased water content bound as β-OH.
The proportion of MoO 3 is preferably 0 to 0.6% by weight, preferably 0 to 0.4% by weight. If the reducing-acting refining agents As 2 O 3 or Sb 2 O 3 are used, MoO 3 should not be added. Find the alternative refining agents, such. As SnO 2 and / or CeO 2 or alkali sulfates application, so MoO 3 can develop its positive influence on the solarization together with TiO 2 and CeO 2 to 0.4 wt .-%.
Preferably, the proportion of Bi 2 O 3 + WO 3 is 0.1 to 0.8 wt .-%, particularly preferably 0.2 to 0.5 wt .-%, wherein each of these components in combination with TiO 2 and CeO 2 exert a positive influence on the solarization. If the doping is less than 0.1% by weight, no more advantageous influence can be detected. At concentrations above 0.8% by weight, no further improvement is observed. Since Bi 2 O 3 and WO 3 are quite expensive raw materials, their upper limit should be in the glass at 0.3 wt .-%.
Preferably, the proportion of the dopants TiO 2 and CeO 2 in total is 0.1 to 5 wt .-%, preferably 0.5 to 2 wt .-%. Depending on the refining agents used, higher concentrations of the dopants are to be used when reducing agents such as Sb 2 O 3 are used than with oxidizing fining agents SnO 2 and CeO 2 . At reducing conditions in the molten glass, the low oxidation states of the dopants z. As Ce 3+ formed on cooling, which have a weaker absorption in the UV spectral range. Surprisingly, the low oxidation states of the dopants also have a positive effect on the solarization.
The refining agent As 2 O 3 should be dispensed with, since a UV-absorbing color center forms on the arsenic ion. If the concentration of dopants above all the proportion of CeO 2 1.5 wt .-%, so too strong absorption in the UV for the application is not acceptable even with oxidizing refining.
Preferably, the sum of the components PbO, SnO / SnO 2 and MoO 3 is 0 to 2 wt .-%. At concentrations> 2% by weight, the density and the price of the glasses are significantly impaired without a positive influence on the solarization. None of these dopants should be added to the refining agents As 2 O 3 / Sb 2 O 3 .
In oxidierender Schmelzatmosphäre absorbiert das Cu2+.The proportion of CuO and AgO is preferably 0 to 0.01% by weight. Here, concentrations in the ppm range already have a positive effect on the solarization, in turn, they show a very strong influence on the UV transmission of the glasses according to the invention even at these concentrations. Moreover, CuO is only suitable for As 2 O 3 and Sb 2 O 3 refining. In oxidizing melting atmosphere, the Cu 2+ absorbs.
The sum of the components TiO 2 + CeO 2 + PbO + SnO / SnO 2 + WO 3 + Bi 2 O 3 + CuO + Ag 2 O is preferably 0.1-6% by weight. From 0.1% by weight, a weak positive effect on the solarization is achieved with virtually unchanged absorption of the glasses compared to undoped materials. At concentrations of 5 to 6 wt .-% with a greater absorption of the glasses after doping a solarization is almost completely prevented.
Preferably, the glass contains the additional component ZnO. The addition of these components preferably in an amount of 0 to 2 wt .-%, in particular 0 to 1.5 wt .-% has the advantage that the crystallization stability of the glasses according to the invention is increased by increasing the surface tension. In addition, in addition to Ag 2 O and CuO, ZnO can improve the antibacterial effect of the glasses in use as cover glasses of PV modules which are exposed to the weather for an extended period of time in the application limits specified above. Furthermore, this algae and moss growth can be prevented.
Glasses containing the components Ag 2 O or ZnO or CuO show the advantage that the organic growth is inhibited during many years of use. Such glass sheets are therefore particularly well suited for use as a cover for solar modules.
The content of SiO 2 in the glass according to the invention is preferably at least 60% by weight, more preferably at least 65% by weight. These minimum quantities should not be undercut, since otherwise the stability of the glass is impaired. The glass according to the invention preferably comprises at most 80% by weight SiO 2 and more preferably at most 77% by weight. If these limits are exceeded, the processing temperature of the glass increases too much, so that the production is uneconomical.
Alternative Ausführungsformen sind bevorzugt frei von Al2O3.The glass according to the invention preferably also comprises Al 2 O 3 in a proportion of up to 10% by weight and more preferably up to 2% by weight. This component is used to adjust the viscosity of the glass and should therefore be used only in small quantities. Alternative embodiments are preferably free of Al 2 O 3 .
Alternative Ausführungsformen sind bevorzugt frei von B2O3.The glass according to the invention preferably also comprises B 2 O 3 in a proportion of up to 5% by weight. This component increases the stability of the glass. However, boric oxide is teratogenic and should therefore only be used in small quantities. Alternative embodiments are preferably free of B 2 O 3 .
The glass according to the invention preferably also comprises Na 2 O or K 2 O in a proportion of up to 20% by weight and more preferably up to 17% by weight. These components improve the meltability of the glass. However, Na 2 O and K 2 O lower the viscosity and should therefore only be used within the limits mentioned above. The same considerations apply to other alkali metal oxides, so that their total amount is at most 20 wt .-%. Preferably, however, the glass should comprise at least 8 wt%, more preferably at least 12 wt%, alkali metal oxides to ensure adequate meltability. By "alkali metal oxides" according to the invention preferably only K 2 O, Na 2 O and Li 2 O meant. However, the glass preferably comprises only one of said alkali metal oxides.
Preferred embodiments of this invention further comprise alkaline earth oxides in amounts of at least 5% by weight and more preferably at least 10% by weight. These components serve to adjust the viscosity-temperature profile of the glass of the present invention. However, not too much alkaline earth metal oxides should be added, as this could cause the viscosity of the glass to drop too much. According to the invention, the content of alkaline earth metal oxides is limited to not more than 20% by weight. Further preferred embodiments comprise only up to 15% by weight of alkaline earth metal oxides. According to the invention, alkaline earth metal oxides are preferably understood to mean only MgO, CaO, SrO and BaO. Experiments have shown that CaO is most suitable so that preferred embodiments comprise at least 5 wt% CaO. The glass according to the invention should in total preferably at most up to 5% by weight of BaO and SrO include. The component MgO is contained in preferred embodiments to at most 5 wt .-% in the glass.
Zwei bevorzugte Glaszusammensetzungen sind: 1. Glaszusammensetzung (in Gew.-%)
Glaszusammensetzung (in Gew.-%)
The process for the preparation of the solarization-resistant glass-alkali glass provides that at least two of the refining agents SnO 2 , SO 4 2- , F - , Cl - and SeO 3 2- be used when using CeO 2 , CuO and Ag 2 O. ,
Bei der Verwendung von TiO2, PbO, SnO2, WoO3, Bi2O3, CuO, Ag2O oder MnO2 ist das Läutermittel Sb2O3 bevorzugt.When using TiO 2 , PbO, SnO 2 , WoO 3 , Bi 2 O 3 , CuO, Ag 2 O or MnO 2 , the refining agent Sb 2 O 3 is preferred.
When using the components TiO 2 , MoO 3 , WoO 3 and Ag 2 O an oxidizing melt flow is necessary.
It has been found that the glasses according to the invention in the area of the so-called soda-lime glasses have a high UV transmission upon melting under oxidizing conditions using nitrates of the alkali and / or alkali components or by targeted burner adjustment in the melting aggregate. Even when exposed to intense sunlight over a long period of time, this transmission is very stable and is hardly changed by solarization effects.
The present invention also relates to the use of the glasses described as a substrate glass for crystalline silicon semiconductor materials c-Si, p-Si, as a substrate glass for thin-film applications such. For the semiconductor materials a-Si, my-Si, and the compound semiconductors ClS, ClGS and CgTe. The glass can also z.
