Besagter Apparat ist durch ein Gehaeuse gekennzeichnet, welches ein zumindest drei Skalen aufweisendes Messinstrument enthaelt, von denen die erete Skala den absorbierten Strom anzeigt, waehrend die zweite die Bauer der Unempfindlichkeit, welche dem absorbierten und auf der ersten Skala angezeigten Strom entspricht, angibt und die dritte Skala stets auf Grund des absorbierten und auf der ersten Skala angegebenen Stromes die zur Kariesverhuetung und zur Therapie der Parodontopatie erforderliche Zeitspanne anzeigt· Besagtes Gehaeuse ist von einem metallenen Griff getragen, welch letzterer vom Patienten ergriffen und in einer solchen Stellung gehalten wird, dass das Instrument derart orientiert werden kann, dass der behandelnde Zahnarzt in der Lage ist, die angegebenen Werte jederzeit abzulesen.
