Gerbstoffmischungen
erhalten
zweckmässig noch einen Zusatz von Alkalikarbonßt.Degreasing, rust removal and paint stripping agents with anti-corrosion effect There are already numerous paint strippers for paints, primers and paints based on organic solvents (compare DP 821 9814 and DP 816 114) or based on alkaline substances, e.g. alkali silicate solutions, which are used to remove the Serve layers of lacquer and make the time-consuming scraping of the layers of lacquer superfluous. In the DAS no. 1,052,6o9 the sodium salts of amylopectin glycolic acid have also been proposed for the production of paint remover and it is also known that sodium glucoheptonate (sodium.-1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 .- hexahydroxohexane -1- carboxylate), optionally with the use of sodium hydroxide as a cleaning agent, polishing agent, paint remover. With these paint strippers, however, there is the disadvantage that there is only one stripping action, so that it is therefore necessary to apply anti-corrosion agents to the stripped metal parts in a separate operation. With some paint strippers, it is even necessary to use degreasing and / or rust removal agents beforehand to completely remove paint or varnish from rust-retaining metal parts. The aim and object of the present invention was, while avoiding these disadvantages and thus saving two or more operations, to develop a means that simultaneously degreases, rusts, paint removes and protects against corrosion and in which, inter alia, the later rusting under of the newly painted or with Paints, primers and the like provided parts are avoided. The aim and object of this invention was furthermore to find a means which, in addition to the aforementioned properties, also enables good adhesion of the newly applied lacquer or paint. According to the invention it was found that solutions of a mixture of alkali hydroxide with sodium glucoheptonate (sodium 1,2,3,4,5,6 -hexahydroxohexane -1-carboxylate - CH2 OH (CHOH) 5 COONa) and tannin or tannin mixtures, preferably tannin, tannic acid , Gallic acid and / or analogous compounds, both degreasing, derusting, paint-removing, as well as protecting against corrosion and can be applied in one operation. The preferably aqueous solutions of the mixtures of alkali hydroxides with sodium glucoheptonate (sodium 1,2,3,4,5,6 -hexahydroxohexane -1-carboxylate -CH2 OH (CHOH) 5 CO ONa) and tanning agents or tanning agent mixtures expediently also contain an addition of Alkali carbon.
The area of application of the degreasing, rusting and paint stripping agent according to the invention with anti-corrosion effect is very diverse. If, for example, there are still paint residues on the metal parts to be derusted, these can be removed at the same time, so that a new, well-adhering paint application is possible with the corrosion protection obtained in this way. The degreasing, rust removal and paint stripping or paint stripping process can be shortened by adding emulsifiers and wetting agents. The agent can also be used successfully on heavily rusted metal parts with deep grain rust as well as non-susceptible metals or alloys with more or less thick oxide layers. Tannin is preferably used or also used as the tanning substance. The tannin contained in these mixtures (preferably water-soluble tannin preparations) not only provides a high level of protection against corrosion, but also reinforces the rust removal process. The effect of the alkali glucoheptonates is probably due to a complex formation with the metal ions. The alkali glucoheptonates can also be wholly or partly replaced by complex compounds of glucoheptonates, preferably by boron complex compounds of glucoheptonates. The degreasing effect of the alkali glucoheptonates is due to the emulsifying and wetting effect of these preparations. For these reasons, the addition of further emulsifiers and wetting agents is only necessary if there are metal parts with thick layers of rolling and drawing grease, etc. Another advantage of the degreasing, rust removal and paint stripping agents described is that the dissolved oxides remain in solution, do not settle on the heating units, do not impair the heating effect and do not deposit as more or less thick sludge on the bottom of the basin. The addition of alkali glucoheptonate eliminates the need for alkali yynides with a highly toxic effect in degreasing and rust removal baths. By adding tannins, for example tannin, to the degreasing, rust removal and lacquer removal solutions described, the use of passivating agents based on chromic acid or chromic acid-phosphoric acid or nitrites with their strong toxic effects on wastewater can be dispensed with. If thickeners are added to the degreasing, rust removal and paint stripping agents according to the invention, pastes can also be produced which, after heating, can be applied to vertical or sloping surfaces, so that large-sized metal parts to be degreased and deoxidized can be immersed in large basins Dimensions is not required. When using degreasing, rust removal and paint stripping solutions and pastes with a high anti-corrosive effect, the proportions of 15 to 20 parts by weight of alkali hydroxides: 3 to 7 parts by weight of alkali carbonates (except ammonium carbonate): 1 to 3 parts by weight of tannin: 3 to 10 parts by weight of alkali glucoheptonates or their boron complex compounds have been found to be particularly useful. Depending on the special requirements and the thickness of the grease, rust and lacquer layers as well as the required corrosion protection, the proportions of the individual mixture components can also be changed accordingly. The preparation can also be sprayed. and dipping methods can be used. The solutions can be used at normal temperature. The solutions (expediently 20 to 30% strength) of the mixtures described in water at 90 to 100 ° C. are advantageously used. It is advisable to use hot solutions, especially for baking varnishes. The metal parts to be treated are immersed or flooded in the solutions for a period of 1 to 2 hours. Depending on the thickness of the grease, lacquer and oxide layers to be removed, the treatment times can also be shortened.
