Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a fiber section for connection two fiber ends made of a first porous material with high Diffusion for at least a first and a second fluid, and a method for connecting two Fiber ends made of a first porous material with high Diffusion for at least a first and a second fluid.
It is known that fibers made of plastics are suitable for this are to take up fluids and that these fluids are Spread diffusion within the fiber. The fibers are made in addition from a porous material with a high diffusion for Fluids. It is very difficult to make these fibers out of fibers assemble other materials.
It is an object of the invention to provide a fiber section Connection of two fiber ends from a first porous High diffusion material for at least a first one and specify a second fluid that decreased Has diffusion of the fluids between the two fiber ends. A method for producing a connection is also intended between two fiber ends made of a first porous material with a high diffusion for at least a first and a second fluid can be specified.
The task is performed by a fiber section Fiber section with the features of claim 1 solved. Advantageous further developments are in the Subclaims 2 to 5 specified. Regarding the procedure the task is performed using a method with the characteristics of claim 6 solved.
A fiber section is specified which is suitable for with its end faces, each with a fiber end to be fused or welded. The fiber ends are thereby from a first porous material with high diffusion for at least a first and a second porous fluid. Of the Fiber section consists of a stopper from a second Material that has little diffusion for the two fluids has and the outer diameter less than that Diameter of the fibers is. This plug is like this poured or cast or overmolded that the End faces of the fiber section each from a third Consist of material that is easy with the first material is fusible or weldable. The third material can also be the first. To fix the plug in the third material are on both faces of the im essential cylindrical plug means for anchoring provided, for example, from tabs with holes consist. Because of these holes, the plug when pouring or overmolding with the third material in fixed this material.
It is particularly advantageous if the stopper is made entirely of is poured over the third material, as a smooth outer surface is reached. But this has the disadvantage that due to the very thin layer of material around the outer jacket of the plug a diffusion of the fluids is possible. Nevertheless, the diffusion behavior of the fluids through the fiber section much less than that Diffusion behavior through a direct connection of the two Fiber ends. The third material wall around the stopper however, should be as thin as possible. It is possible that the fiber section is curved. This can be achieved be that with a curved arrangement of the fibers Area around the fiber section does not unnecessarily affect the symmetry of the Arrangement changed.
Es zeigen:An embodiment of the invention is based on the figures explained. Show it:

Fig. 5 is a not yet cast plug which is shown detached from the carrier strip.
In Fig. 1, a fiber section 10 can be seen which is formed substantially as a cylindrical body. The fiber section 10 has a cylindrical plug 2 , which is arranged axially symmetrically in the fiber section 10 . The cylindrical plug 2 has means for anchoring 3 , 4 on its end faces. The means for anchoring 3 , 4 are each designed as an elongated tab, each having two openings 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 . The cylindrical plug 2 with the means for anchoring 3 , 4 is surrounded by a third material 1 , which is easily connectable to the first material from which the fiber ends to be connected are made. The third material completely surrounds the cylindrical plug 2 and the anchoring means 3 , 4 . When pouring, it penetrates through the openings 5 - 8 , whereby the cylindrical plug is anchored in the third material and thus in the fiber section. Since it can be assumed that the third material has a diffusion for the fluids, such a diffusion can take place through the wall 9 around the outer jacket of the cylindrical plug 2 . Therefore, the radial dimension x of this wall should be kept as small as possible. An interruption of this wall in the area of the cylindrical stopper is also conceivable.
The fiber section 10 shown in FIG. 2 is to be fused to a fiber end 21 . For this purpose, both are inserted into a V-groove 22 into which a heated tool 23 penetrates, as a result of which the end faces of the fiber end 22 and the fiber section 10 are melted. Then the two fibers are pushed together and the end faces are fused together. Analogously, a second fiber end can be melted onto the second end face of the fiber section.
In Fig. 3 it is shown that a plurality of cylindrical plugs 2 , 2 ', 2 ''with means for anchoring 3 , 4 are attached to carrier strips 11 , 12 . It is thereby possible to cast a plurality of cylindrical plugs with means for anchoring simultaneously with the third material and to produce a plurality of fiber sections at the same time. The cast fiber sections are shown in FIG. 4.
To make a connection between two fiber ends a first porous material with high diffusion for at least a first and a second fluid become the following Process steps required. First, a cylindrical one Plug made of a second material, the one slight cylindrical for the first and second fluids having. Means for Anchoring provided. The cylindrical stopper will then come out at least with the means to anchor it in a third Material that is easily connectable to the first material, shed. This essentially involves a fiber section cylindrical shape. The end faces of the too connecting fiber ends are then with the End faces of the fiber section fused. This is created a connection whose diffusion compared to Diffusion of the two fiber ends is significantly less.
