Devices for enriching particles in body fluid have been around for a long time known from practice. These devices are primarily used for urinary and Blood test is used, whereby a densification of cells, such as erythro cytocytes and leukocytes, or other components in the urine or in the blood. The Densification of the cells in the body fluid enables a better analysis of the Body fluid. It is particularly beneficial when the cells are compacted without centrifuging the body fluid, since during centrifugation the cells to be analyzed can be destroyed.

From US 4,960,130 and US 5,038,793 are each seen individually for the enrichment of particles in body fluid with all the characteristics of The preamble of claim 1 is known. The known devices include sen each a cylindrical receiving body with a tubular body and a storage unit, the storage unit having an intake and exhaust port Has opening that can be closed by a closure. The devices included sen also a slidably disposed in the receiving body, for retraction and ejecting liquid-serving pistons on the lower piston surface Has through openings. The piston surface is supplied with a collecting device arranges. The inside of the piston forms a collection container with a fixed size nis. A ventilation valve on the side of the piston connects the collector relationship with the environment and can be closed with a stopper.
The device known from US 5,022,411 also includes a cylindri 's receiving body with a tubular body. The device has fer ner on a displaceably arranged in the receiving piston on the lower piston surface has a through opening. The through opening will closed by a cover adapted to the size of the through opening.
The device for enriching particles known from US Pat. No. 5,077,012 Body fluid also has a cylindrical receiving body and an in the receiving body slidably arranged piston on the lower Piston surface has a through opening. The piston area is also an in a collecting device arranged associated with a filter insert.
The present invention is based on the object of a generic Dende device for enrichment of particles in body fluid design and develop that safe handling of the liquid simplest construction is possible.
The present invention solves the above object by a device with the features of Claim 1. Thereafter, the generic device for enrichment of particles in body fluid designed and developed in such a way that when initial retraction of the piston formed in the piston surface Through openings by means of a cover arranged in the receiving body are closable so that the sub required for sucking in the liquid pressure can be generated when retracting the piston, and that when moving of the piston in the direction of the intake and exhaust opening of which the Sam melter-limiting cover releases, so that the located in the receiving body Liche liquid through the through openings into the collection container flows inside the piston, with filtering taking place.
This will ensure the safe handling of a front direction for the accumulation of particles in body fluid of one in its size ß firmly defined collection container, as is known from the prior art, deviated. The size of the collection ratio is minimized with regard to the volume of liquid to be taken up, in order to be able to handle even smaller volumes of liquid safely.
The minimization of the collection container is variable and proportional to the volume of liquid drawn in. this will through the cover that comes off the piston surface during the filtering process, reached. The collection container is therefore proportional to the liquid that is sucked in limited volume.
In the context of one embodiment variant, the inflow of liquid is in the collecting container by preferably manually opening and closing one Ventilation valve formed in the end of the piston can be regulated. It is essential that the body fluid is first sucked into the body and at ge closed suction and discharge opening by actuating the piston in the Suction movement in the opposite direction in the piston interior or in the Collecting container is pressed in. The body fluid passes through the open catcher, so that a thickening of the liquid in the area of the catchment direction, d. H. in the area of the piston surface. As mentioned earlier, is here, however, a mutual closing of the intake and exhaust opening on the other hand and the ventilation valve formed at the end in the piston on the other hand derlich, namely to first suck the liquid into the receiving body and then flowing through the collecting device by introducing the liquid to allow inside the piston.
Specifically, the collecting device could be designed as a filter, depending on the particles to be filtered out or different filters for under different fractions can be used. The filter could be pulp or a filter made of synthetic fibers or synthetic fabric act. It is also conceivable to open the filter from an absorbent material ner porosity or passage porosity to form, so that a passage of the rivers liquid through the filter and sticking of the part of interest Chen is guaranteed in the filter. In any case, a "Verdic kung "or an accumulation of the particles instead.
The collecting device or the filter could be assigned to a filter insert and be removable from the filter insert. Within the scope of such a configuration the interchangeability of the filter or the removability of the filter insert ge ensures that it is easily possible for the intercepted part Chen containing filter together with the filter insert and a further appropriate analysis or processing.
The filter insert together with the filter could be attached to the piston surface. In a similar configuration, the filter insert could be integral be part of the piston surface.
To ensure sufficient flow through the filter insert, which finally for trapping the particles in the filter or in the collecting device is necessary, it is of particular advantage if the filter insert one liquid-permeable floor and a wall suitable for holding the filter includes. The wall of the filter insert could encompass the filter as a whole and overlap, at least partially, at the edge area so that the filter is in the filter sentence is kept safe. Ultimately, the filter must be the one created by the piston Withstand the flow of the liquid and must not change its position.
Advantageously, the filter insert is at least partially ela plastically deformable, preferably in the axial direction at least slightly compressible. Such a configuration ensures that the filter and the filter insert can be squeezed out, which means that there intercepted parts at least largely for analysis or further ver work will be released.
The suction and outlet opening could be an integral part of the receiving body in such a case, the suction and would have outlet opening. Especially for easy opening or Ent take the collecting device, it is of particular advantage, the intake and Outlet opening through a screwable onto the receiving body or an in to form the screw-in pipette tip. It's the same way bar that the suction and outlet opening through a on the receiving body pluggable or a pipette tip insertable into the receiving body is formed. In this respect, the collecting device or the filter can be removed by removing the fil Remove the insert, which makes handling the Device is guaranteed.
A pluggable or screwable one is used to close the pipette tip Closure provided. This closure is advantageously at least in Essentially adapted to the shape of the pipette tip. As part of a the closure essentially has a particularly advantageous embodiment the same cross section as the receiving body, so that when closed ner pipette tip gives a homogeneous appearance of the device, whereby a particularly simple and safe handling, storage, stackability, etc. ge is guaranteed.
Finally, it should be noted that the individual components as a whole or at least can be made predominantly of plastic, at least the up Take body is made of a transparent material. An observation of the one sucked liquid, but especially the filter used there guaranteed.
Es zeigen:The following drawings describe an advantageous one Embodiment of the device. Show it:

Fig. 3 in a schematic side view, sectioned and enlarged, egg nen on the pipette tip attachable closure.
Fig. 1 shows that it is specifically a device for providing an enriched suspension for analysis, namely for urine examination. This should be as simple as possible an examination of the "thickened" urine to be carried out, namely to be able to diagnose inflammation or other diseases due to constituents in the urine. The usual centrifugation of the liquid is not necessary due to the sufficient thickening.
The device comprises a cylindrical receiving body 1 and a piston 2, which is displaceably arranged in the receiving body 1 and serves for drawing in and expelling the liquid. The receiving body 1 has a to pipette-like tapered intake and exhaust port. 3
In the flow path of the air flowing into the receiving body 1 and / or flowing out of the receiving body 1, a fluid intercepting the particles or receiving collecting device 4 is arranged.
In the example shown in Fig. 1 embodiment, the collecting means 4 is the Kol benfläche 5 associated with the piston surface comprises 5 passage openings 6. Furthermore, sealing means 7 are provided in order to effectively prevent the liquid from escaping to the rear end of the receiving body 1 . The Kol beninnere is designed as a collecting container 8 , namely to be able to receive the liquid through the collecting device 4 through inside the piston 2 .
Fig. 1 can be further seen that the inflow of liquid into the Sam melbehältnis 8 by manually opening and closing an end formed in the piston 2 vent valve 9 is adjustable, said vent valve may be openable by ei NEN plug or by finger pressure and closable 9 .
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the collecting device 4 is designed as a filter, the filter being a loose cellulose. Synthetic material can also be used, whereby the formation of a predeterminable fraction must be ensured.
Fig. 1 clearly shows that the collecting device 4 is assigned to a filter insert 10 . The filter 11 can be removed from the filter insert 10 . This filter insert 10 is also suitable for placement on the piston 2 , so that an immediate order of the filter insert 10 to the piston 2 is guaranteed.
With regard to the functioning of the embodiment of the device shown in FIG. 1, it should be noted that when the piston 2 is initially withdrawn, the through openings 6 formed in the piston 2 are closed by means of the covers 12 provided there. Because of this closure, the negative pressure required for suction is generated within the receiving body 1 . If the piston 2 is then moved forward again towards the pipette tip, the front loading area of the piston 2 is released from the cover 12 , so that the liquid located in the receiving body 1 through the through openings 6 into the interior of the piston or into the collecting container 8 can flow inside the piston 2 . The filtering process takes place.
According to the illustration in FIG. 2, the filter insert 10 comprises a liquid-permeable bottom area 13 and a wall 14 suitable for holding the filter 11 . This wall 14 encompasses the filter 11 as a whole and overlaps the filter 11 partially, so that locking or holding the filter 11 within the filter insert 10 is ensured.
As can be seen in Fig. 1, the pipette tip 15 is placed on the receiving body 1 screwed.
To close the pipette tip 15 , an attachable closure 16 is provided, which is shown in isolation in FIG. 3. The interior of this closure 16 essentially corresponds to the shape of the pipette tip 15 or is adapted to the pipette tip 15 . By plugging on the closure 16 , the device can be securely closed before and / or after use.
The device discussed above with reference to the exemplary embodiment can be used to find erythrocytes and leukocytes in the urine, namely to compress these components (cells) in the urine. For this purpose, the liquid - or, in the example discussed here, the urine - is drawn out of a sample container (not shown in the figures) into the receiving body 1 . The passage through the collecting device 4 or the filter 11 takes place during ejection or when a liquid penetrates into the interior of the piston or into the collecting container 8 . In any case, the cells in the urine settle on or in the filter 11 . By rinsing the filter 11 again, the cells are virtually flushed back and can be dropped out of the suction and outlet opening 3, for example onto a slide or into a cell chamber. In any case, simple means achieve a thickening of the particles in the body fluid, which can then be subjected to an examination.
