Derartige Hauben lassen sich relativ steif ausführen, wobei zusätzliche Maßnahmen, beispielsweise nach Art von Sollknickstellen, getroffen sein können, die bei einem Frontalcrash eine gezielte Umsetzung von Aufprallenergie in Verformungsarbeit sicherstellen bzw. zum Schutze der Insassen ein gezieltes Ausknicken nach oben gewährleisten. Während eine derartige bekannte Gestaltung einer Fronthaube primär dem Schutz von Fahrzeuginsassen bei einem Frontalcrash dient, befaßt sich die Erfindung mit einer "fußgängerfreundlichen" Ausbildung einer Fronthaube. Bekanntlich sind Fußgänger bei Kollisionen mit Kraftfahrzeugen aufgrund physikalischer Bedingungen besonders gefährdet, da der Vorderwagen eines Kraftfahrzeugs im Vergleich zu einem Fußgänger aufgrund vieler Anforderungen sehr hart und steif ist.
