Description
The invention relates to a hygiene article for receiving in particular liquid body exudates, with an absorbent material for receiving liquid and at least one arranged in the absorbent material moisture sensor. Furthermore, the invention relates to a system for monitoring the state of such a hygiene article.
Hygiene articles of the type in question are, for example, diapers, hospital documents, bed pads or bandages. For example, it is known that diapers must be worn not only by infants or toddlers, but also by adult people suffering from incontinence due to physical or mental damage or diseases.
In particular, in persons who are severely impaired due to their mental state, for example, suffering from dementia in advanced stages, or who are in the vegetative state, these persons can no longer recognize and / or tell to the effect that the diaper is dirty. In other words, if the person concerned has a disturbed or lacking perceptiveness, that person can no longer independently determine that there is a need for a change of diaper. Also, it may not convey this need, so for example, notify a nursing staff.
This is both a burden for the patient himself, since apart from the unworthy condition serious skin damage can occur ("diaper rash"). Furthermore, the odor nuisance occurring for outsiders represents a burden or impairment.
In the case of highly demented persons or those who are in the vegetative state or a similar state, ie in persons who are dependent on nursing staff, there is thus the need to control the diaper (or bed pad, bandage, etc.). Often, this control is free, that is, the diaper (the sanitary article in general) is not (yet) polluted. At least as often, however, the contamination of the hygiene article is detected in such a control, and depending on the time intervals in which the control takes place, the patient had to remain in this state for more or less a long time.

This is disadvantageous in terms of cost, material cost and resource waste.
The present invention has set itself the task of eliminating this disadvantage.
According to the present invention, for the purpose of achieving the present object, the hygiene article is characterized in that the at least one moisture sensor arranged in the absorbent material is an RFID component. Because the at least one moisture sensor is an RFID component, the moisture sensor per se is a passive component which does not require a continuous current and / or signal connection in the form of a fixed wiring or wiring to an evaluation unit or evaluation unit. It thus eliminates both the cable route between the humidity sensor and the hygieneartikelseitigen connection piece as well as the hygieneartikelseitige connection piece itself the only component or component which is located on the part of the hygiene article is the at least one RFID component. Since such components are now available at very low cost and since further RFID components can be miniaturized on rice grain size or below, the hygiene article according to the invention, which uses the RFID component as the at least one moisture sensor, for a far cheaper than comparable previous hygiene products can be produced and secondly, when disposing of or disposing of the hygiene article, there is no unnecessary waste of resources.
According to a preferred embodiment, the RFID component can be designed so that it is activated by the liquid absorbed by the absorbent material. That is, only when the sanitary article is dirty, so the absorbent material is dirty to a degree (optionally preselected) in the sense of impregnation of the absorbent material, the RFID component starts its operation, so it can be queried via an external interrogator become.
In a further preferred embodiment, the path just described can be reversed, that is to say the RFID component is active or ready for operation when the hygiene article is not contaminated and is only deactivated or destroyed by liquid absorbed by the absorbent material. This deactivated or destroyed state of the RFID component can then also be detected without contact from the outside.
The RFID component may have exposed short-circuit contacts, which then cause the liquid that has entered the absorbent material to cause deactivation or destruction.
Several humidity sensors in the form of RFID components can be arranged in the absorbent material, which can then be queried or operated in series or in parallel. By a staggered arrangement or staggering of individual RFID components in the hygiene article, for example, a progressive, so spreading in the absorbent material fluid intake can be detected. This can be avoided, for example, that only minor amounts of moisture or liquids, for example, only body sweat, activate or deactivate the RFID component.
Erst größere Mengen an Feuchtigkeit oder Flüssigkeit, also z. Instead of or in addition to the measure to use a plurality of humidity sensors, the moisture sensors or their moisture-sensitive short-circuit contacts (electrodes, probes or the like) may be provided with a coating which dissolves under prolonged exposure to moisture and thus the contacts time-delayed put in a moisture-sensitive state. Small amounts of moisture or liquid, for example body sweat, can therefore not activate or deactivate the RFID component. Only larger amounts of moisture or liquid, ie z. As urine, cause dissolution or disintegration of the coating, which then in turn leads to the then conductive short-circuit contacts activate or deactivate the RFID component.
The hygiene article is preferably a disposable hygiene article to be used once, in particular a disposable diaper. Due to the advantages described above, this advantageous embodiment is easily implemented.
The present invention furthermore relates to a system for monitoring the condition of a hygiene article, the system having a hygiene article according to the invention as described above. In addition, an interrogation device is provided for determining the operability of the at least one RFID component and a display device which is connected to the interrogator in order to indicate a change in state of the hygiene article as a function of the functionality of the RFID component. The term "operability of the RFID component" should be understood here to mean the above-mentioned explanations or possible embodiments, that is, either an activation of the RFID component by a liquid or its deactivation or destruction.
Die Abfrageeinrichtung kann bevorzugt eine Auswerteeinrichtung umfassen, welche insbesondere zur Erfassung der Zeitdauer seit einer Zustandsänderung des Hygieneartikels (Änderung der Funktionsfähigkeit des wenigstens einen RFID-Bauteils) dientThe interrogation device may preferably include an evaluation device, which in particular serves for detecting the time duration since a change of state of the hygiene article (change of the functionality of the at least one RFID component)
Furthermore, the display direction is preferably arranged spatially separated from the interrogator. In this case, the display direction is preferably wirelessly connected to the interrogator.
The display direction may in this case be a conventional telephone with display and in particular a mobile telephone, to which the interrogator transmits the change of state of the hygiene article acoustically and / or by SMS. This makes it possible to dispense with a separate display direction, which is the person wearing the sanitary article has to carry or which must be arranged (erected) in the vicinity of the hygiene article. The display direction can be realized by a suitable software ("App") in a smartphone. Furthermore, it is possible to realize the display direction and the interrogation device by means of software ("app") in a smartphone with near-field communication.
