Abstract

Automatic pulse counter with simultaneous rhythm monitoring comprises a measuring and control unit in a readily transportable housing for attachment to the wrist, to form a monitoring unit which can readily be used in everyday life. Pref. two pressure sensors register the pulse waves and transmit them to a measuring device for automatic measurement of the pulse rhythm. Instead of constant manual pulse checking by counting over a given period, only a glance is required or perception of a warning tone.
