Abstract

In an arrangement for representing traffic situations, roads are interrogated as to their volume of traffic and the results are displayed at a traffic monitoring centre on a represented road map. The volume of traffic is subdivided into a plurality of categories and the road sections are displayed on the represented road map in different colours, depending on the traffic volume category established by the interrogation.

Beispielsweise kann bei geringer Belastung die Farbe grün, bei mittlerer Belastung die Farbe blau, bei starker Belastung die Farbe rot (Staugefahr) und bei Stau rot blinkend für die Straßendarstellung verwendet werden. Es können aber auch andere Farbkombinationen und Farbübergänge gewählt werden. Anordnung zur Darstellung von Verkehrssituationen, bei der Straßen auf ihre Verkehrsbelastung abgefragt und die Ergebnisse in einer Verkehrsüberwachungszentrale auf einer dargestellten Straßenkarte angezeigt werden, dadurch ge­ kennzeichnet, daß die Verkehrsbelastung in mehrere Kate­ gorien eingeteilt ist, und daß auf der dargestellten Straßenkarte Straßenabschnitte je nach der abgefragten Verkehrsbelastungs-Kategorie in unterschiedlichen Farben angezeigt werden.1.
