Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a compressed gas operated oil pump according to the preamble of Claim 1.
Oil pumps commonly used in internal combustion engines have a number of Disadvantages on. This is how the required funding volume and thus the Pump size at the necessary minimum oil pressure at the lowest operating speed (Idle) of the internal combustion engine and the lowest possible oil viscosity. As a result of Differences between the delivery curve of the oil pump and the oil demand curve the machine to be supplied is the oil pump for the higher speed range oversized so that an oil pressure limitation by pressure relief valve and by pass, i.e. a so-called bypass control is required. This bypass scheme together with mechanical energy conversion losses results both in the Ma machine as well as in the oil pump drive (chain, toothed belt or gears) a rela tiv low overall efficiency, which in the efficiency of the Brennkraftma machine containing the drive unit, for example, for a motor vehicle. Furthermore, the mechanical oil pump drive influences the position of the oil pump and often also the overall length of the internal combustion engine, with higher oil pumps the white tere disadvantage that after the startup of the internal combustion engine Air must be pumped out of the suction line by the pump, i.e. the structure of the oil pressure in the machine starts with a delay.
Schmierwirkung nach teilig beeinflußt.DE-OS 32 29 861, FOlM 1/02, describes a pressurized gas-operated oil pump, ie one without a mechanical drive from the internal combustion engine, with the features of the preamble of claim 1. Also the oil pump according to DE-PS 28 52 189, FOlM 1/14, uses a pressurized gas from the oil transport. In both cases, it is about the special case of the lubrication of a cylinder of a reciprocating piston internal combustion engine, and the respective cylinder is preferably used as the compressed gas reservoir. However, both constructions disadvantageously require the presence of a certain oil pressure at the oil inlet, that is to say ultimately the presence of a conventional design before the pump is switched. In addition, a mixture of oil and compressed gas occurs in the oil chamber, which is undesirable since the presence of gas in the oil passages of the machine affects the desired cooling or lubricating effect to some extent.
The invention has for its object a compressed gas operated oil pump with the To create features of the preamble of claim 1, which without pre switched mechanically operated oil pump, i.e. immediately when starting the internal combustion engine at least approximately the required oil pressure in this ensures, and in which the oil and the compressed gas system are separated.
The achievement of this task consists in the characterizing note paint the claim 1, describe advantageous embodiments of the invention the subclaims.
The oil pump according to the invention therefore does not require an increased oil pressure on it Oil inlet, but is self-priming due to the springs. Through the pistons between the oil chambers on the one hand and the pressurized gas spaces on the other is a vermi oil and compressed gas. Due to the existence of two independent Continuous oil production is ensured by continuously sucking oil pumps. Another advantage of the invention is the fact that it is used to solve the defi task only proven and therefore uncritical components, such as Pistons and one-way valves used.
An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing tert, which is a cross section through the oil pan of a vehicle internal combustion engine with the compressed gas operated oil pump inserted.
The oil level in the oil pan 1 is indicated at 2 . Inside the actual oil pump is arranged, which takes the sealed partition 4 in the housing 3 and on both sides of the same encloses an oil chamber 5 or 6 , which at their mutually opposite ends by axially displaceable pistons 7 and 8 against also within the housing 3rd provided pressure gas spaces 9 and 10 are delimited. The pistons 7 and 8 are supported on the common partition 4 via compression springs 11 and 12 , which are within the oil chambers 5 and 6 .
Each oil chamber 5 and 6 has an oil inlet 13 or 14 with an individual suction valve 15 or 16 and an individual oil outlet 17 or 18 with an individual pressure valve 19 or 20 ; the two outlets 17 and 18 lead via the common line 21 to the oil system of the internal combustion engine, not shown.
The pressurized gas supply to the two pressurized gas spaces 9 and 10 takes place via pressurized gas lines 22 and 23 , which are fed via the common line 24 from a pressurized gas storage device, not shown, which in turn can be charged by the cylinders of the internal combustion engine. In the common compressed gas line 24 is the controller 25 , which regulates the oil pressure in the outlet line 21 by influencing the gas pressure to a prescribed value.
The partition wall 4 has the passage 26 for the control rod 27 , which is axially displaceable relative to the partition wall 4 , whereas the pistons 7 and 8 are axially displaceable only until the resilient stops 30 and 31 become effective. At their opposite ends, the control rod carries the two control pistons 28 and 29 , in such an arrangement that a control piston - here the piston ben 29 -, the corresponding compressed gas line - here line 23 - blocks, but the other piston - here So the piston 28 - the associated compressed gas line - here line 22 - releases.
On both sides of the partition 4 , the control rod 27 carries stops 32 and 33 , which on the one hand limit the control rod movement and on the other hand at least one, here the stop 33 , at least contributes to the sealing of the passage 26 in the partition 4 .
Die Wirkungsweise ist folgende:The mode of action is as follows:
In the position of the pistons 7 and 8 shown , the control piston 29 has separated the compressed gas chamber 10 from the compressed gas line 23 , but has connected the compressed gas outlet 34 to the outlet into the oil pan 1 . In contrast, the control piston 28 has a connection between the compressed gas chamber 9 on the one hand and the compressed gas line 22 on the other hand, so that the piston 7 moves to the right in the figure. As a result of the increase in pressure caused by these piston movements in the oil chamber 5 , its suction valve 15 closes and its pressure valve 19 opens, so that oil from the oil chamber 5 enters the oil line 21 . As soon as piston 7 comes to rest against the resilient stop 30 , it takes the control rod 27 with it, so that the control pistons 28 and 29 suddenly swap their working positions due to the resilient design of the stops 30 and 31 : compressed gas line 22 is separated from the compressed gas chamber 9 , however pressurized gas chamber 10 is connected to its pressurized gas line 23 . Since control piston 28 now releases the compressed gas outlet 35 , spring 11 can move the piston ben 7 in the figure to the left, so that the suction valve 15 opens and the oil chamber 5 is filled again. Conversely, in this phase, the compressed gas in the gas space 10 , the compressed gas outlet 34 of which is now closed, pushes the piston 8 to the left in the figure, so that the associated pressure valve 20 opens.
In principle, therefore, there are two oil pumps, which operate alternately and work independently of one another, which are only coupled via the control rod 27 . This results in the advantage that both pistons 7 and 8 under the action of the spring 11 and 12 after the release of their associated compressed gas outlets 34 and 35 can immediately suck in oil.
As can also be seen from the description, when the pressure is introduced via the common compressed gas line 24, the oil production begins immediately, since the pistons 7 and 8 are in their outer end positions, that is to say both oil chambers 5 and 6 are filled. If a compressed gas storage device is already charged before the engine is started, the oil can even be extracted before the engine is started. The oil pressure in the internal combustion engine can be kept constant under all operating conditions via the regulator 25 .
