Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the use of a coextrusion manufactured multilayer, alcohol-resistant plastic tube as a heat-resistant Pipe for fuel lines in motor vehicles. The expression plastic pipes also includes those with hose-like Flexibility. Alcohol-proof means that the plastic pipe is in the lead of a fuel that contains alcohol does not interfere with elongation experiences. In particular, such a line should be practically length-free Management of premium gasoline with an alcohol additive of 5% and may be more suitable.
The invention is based on a multi-layer, namely three-layer Plastic pipe with a thin inner layer made of polyamide, a thin layer connected to it from the outside Polyvinyl alcohol and one attached to it by at least one Factor 2 to a factor 10 thicker layer of polyamide, the here the outer layer and, as it were, the load-bearing wall of the plastic pipe forms. In the known plastic pipe, of which the invention goes out (DE 35 10 395), the absolute geometric values are like adjusted as follows: Thickness of the thin inner layer made of polyamide 0.1 mm, thickness of the thin layer connected to the outside made of polyvinyl alcohol about 0.1 mm, thickness of the attached thicker layer of polyamide about 0.8 mm, all in one Outside diameter of about 8 mm. The known known above Plastic pipe starts from fuel-carrying lines for the Routing of regular gasoline or super gasoline between the fuel tank and motor, which are designed as pipes made of polyamide. For the installation and the function is usually a few meters Length of these lines specified with narrow tolerances. The length the line must not be in the installed, operational condition change if otherwise in the permanently installed state impaired function Faults can occur. The well-known single-layer Polyamide line meets these requirements if it is Fuel is regular gasoline or premium gasoline. Runs the fuel Alcohol, especially methanol, occur in the known line extremely disturbing changes in length, in the sense of an enlargement the length by 4 to 5% and consequently from 10 to possibly 25 cm. In this respect, the known lines that consist of one manufactured by extrusion using a screw press Plastic pipe with polyamide wall, cannot be used. they when it came to the management of alcoholic beverages Regular gasoline or super gasoline deals, replaced by metal pipes will. The metal pipes are with a fuel mixed with alcohol at risk of corrosion, and not just from external corrosion, but also due to internal corrosion because of the alcohol in the fuel Carrying water or absorbing water. On the other hand, the aspirations go with unleaded petrol, especially super petrol, the fuel is gone with alcohol, in order to influence the otherwise influenced by lead Knock resistance by adding alcohol. All of this applies also for diesel fuel, if for some reason with Alcohol is added.
The known plastic pipe (DE 35 10 395), of which the invention , as is evident from the above explanations, is suitable and intended to be used for cables in motor vehicles that run a fuel that contains alcohol and do this job, without the permanently installed line experiencing disruptive elongations. In this respect, the known plastic line has proven itself. However, it must when laying according to the installation plan and assembly carefully Care should be taken to ensure that the plastic pipe does not pass through areas is performed in which disturbingly high temperatures occur. Though takes the well-known alcohol-resistant plastic pipe (DE 35 10 395) for a short time, e.g. B. for about an hour, temperatures up to 150 ° C, sufficient long-term strength is only given for temperatures, which are significantly below 150 ° C. At high temperatures The alcohol resistance also suffers for a long time.
In contrast, the invention is based, one in the way the multi-layer, alcohol-resistant plastic pipe manufactured by coextrusion indicate which is sufficient at temperatures above 150 ° C Has short-term strength and long-term strength, namely even when subjected to temperature changes, and without annoying Changes in length would have to be accepted.
To achieve this object, the object of the invention is the use a multi-layer coextrusion, alcohol-resistant plastic tube with a thin inner layer made of polyamide, a thin layer connected to it from the outside Polyvinyl alcohol, one attached to at least one Factor 2 up to a factor 10 thicker layer of polyamide than briefly in the temperature range of about 180 ° C and long-term in Temperature range from over 150 ° C to 160 ° C resistant pipe for fuel-carrying lines in motor vehicles with the proviso that a thin outer layer on the thicker layer of polyamide Polyester is also applied. - Surprisingly, it is specified alcohol-resistant plastic pipe manufactured by coextrusion as short-term and long-term heat-resistant in the specified manner Pipe can be used if a. On the thicker layer of polyamide Outer layer of polyester is applied, although this outer layer is relatively thin. Surprisingly, it was found that Temperatures of 180 ° C can be withstood for a short time and that too at a temperature of 150 ° C and a little more after 2000 hours sufficient mechanical strength and alcohol resistance still exist are.
