Abstract

Four external lasers emit yellow, red, blue and green beams which are combined in the necessary proportions in an external mixer operated by an external electronic control unit. The light from the colour mixer is conveyed by two optical glass fibre cables to a pair of deflection units in front of the respective eyes. The correctly coloured beams are deflected into the eyes in accordance with control signals transmitted over a separate cable.

Description

1. Laserbrille1. Laser glasses

The previous methods for generating images are based all on a principle that mimics nature. You create a or several pictures in front of the eye. These images arrive, mostly by emitting light rays but also by reflection, by projection onto the retina. The new process is supposed to do that Imaging the image directly on the retina.

In order to "write" an image directly on the retina, is used a deflection unit attached to each eye, which one Laser beam directs directly onto the retina and thus onto it Image created. To get a colored picture, of course, it takes not just one but four different colored lasers. The colors are mixed into a colored light beam, via glass fiber too the respective deflection unit in front of each eye, which then the corresponding image on the retina of the individual eye generated. Are the two pictures for the respective eye different, so it can create a spatial impression quality that can meet the highest demands.

The method described above can be used anywhere where a screen was previously used. Especially at 3D television and "virtual reality" is suitable for this Procedure especially.

Laser glasses for creating three-dimensional images. The previous methods of creating images are all based on a principle that mimics nature. One or more pictures are created in front of the eye. These images reach the retina, mostly by emitting light rays but also by reflection. The new method uses a laser beam that "writes" the images directly onto the retina of the respective eye, characterized by the following features:
  • 1. The laser glasses consist of:
  • - four external lasers, which emit the colors yellow, red, blue, green
  • - An external color mixer that generates the required color from the four basic colors
  • - Two fiber optic cables that direct the light from the color mixer to the deflection units
  • - In front of each eye there is a deflection unit that deflects the laser beam and thus creates an image on the retina.
  • - External control electronics that, in cooperation with the color mixer and the deflection units, generate the image on the retina.
To make the glasses as light as possible, only the two are Distraction units integrated in the glasses. The lasers, the Control electronics and the color mixer are in an external device housed. The light is transmitted to the glasses via two fiber optic cables fed. 3. Although the light generating system including control electronics is external it is an essential part of the Laser glasses.
