Um ein Abgleiten der feuerfesten Torkretschicht d von den Rohren b zu vermeiden und um Rücksicht auf die verschiedenen Ausdehnungskoeffizienten von Rohren und Torkretschicht zu nehmen, werden die Rohre vor dem Anbringen der Torkretsrhutzschicht mit einem feinmaschigen Drahtgewebe bespannt, welches sehr fest an den Rohrwandungen anliegt.
