Description
The invention relates to a keyboard with keys arranged in recesses of a carrier plate and with electrical contacts of a contact plate below the keys, a tilt axis being provided between the key and the carrier plate, the side surface of the key head opposite the tilt axis being retracted for the tilting movement and the key base below the spring force of the contact.
Such a keyboard is described in DE-AS 24 59 464. With this keyboard, the keys are formed in one piece with the carrier plate. A connection piece between the button and the carrier plate forms the tilt axis.
It is unfavorable for the keyboard according to DE-AS 24 59 464 that the key movement is not symmetrical, so that the actuation behavior when pressed on one side of the key is different than when pressed on the other side of the key.
The object of the invention is to propose a keyboard of the type mentioned, in which the keys have a symmetrical tilt behavior.
According to the invention the above object is achieved in a keyboard of the type mentioned in that a tilt axis is provided on both sides of the key, that each tilt axis is formed by an edge of the recess in the support plate, and that the key rests on the tilt axis at an obtuse angle , which is formed between the side surface of the key head and a stop surface of the key foot projecting under the carrier plate relative to the key head.
The tilting behavior and thus the switching behavior of the button is the same whether it is pressed more on one side or more on the other side. In one case, the key tilts around one tilt axis without the other tilt axis influencing this. Otherwise, the button tilts around the other tilt axis. At the same time there is leverage. The design of the tilt axes does not involve any additional restoring forces that have to be overcome during operation and that result in different actuation forces for the individual Keyboard keys. The necessary actuation force depends solely on the design of the contact plate.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the stop surfaces are at acute angles to the plane of the carrier plate when the key is not actuated. This ensures that the tilt axis does not move when the button is pressed. The acute angles are preferably dimensioned such that the stop surface rests on the carrier plate when the contact is closed. This does not affect the pressure point behavior of the contact plate.
Further advantageous embodiments of the invention result from the following description and the subclaims. The figure shows a partial view of a keyboard in section.
In the figure, only a single key 1 of the keyboard is shown. Depending on the area of use, the keyboard has a plurality of similar keys in a
The
The
The key 1 lies in the
The
The
In the exemplary embodiment, the
The
- If the
button head 21 is pressed in the area on the right in the figure, it tilts about the tilt axis formed by the contact line K of thestop surface 17. Theknob 8 is pressed together from theattachment point 13 until theconductor disk 10 connects the 11 and 12. Only when the tilting movement is carried out by the angle W3 does theelectrical conductor tracks abutment surface 17 hit thesupport plate 2 from below. Thebevel 16 permits the required key stroke without the key hitting the rubber mat 7 before the end of the stroke. After releasing thehead 21 the key 1 is moved back into the position shown by the restoring force of theknob 8 and centered on the contact lines Z of the 19 and 20.side surfaces - If the
button head 21 is acted upon in the area on the left in the figure, then the pivoting about the line of contact K of thestop surface 18 takes place in the manner described above. The switching behavior and the necessary actuation force are the same in both cases. - If the
key top 21 is acted upon in the middle, then the vertices on both sides can detach from the 4 and 5 or the two contact lines Z. Theedges knob 8 is pressed together by theattachment point 13.
20 gebildeten stumpfen Winkels W2.In a further embodiment of the invention, the
