Ein auf diese Weise hergestellter Verbund, bestehend aus der Mittellage 2, den beidseitig aufgebrachten Metallschichten 3 sowie den darüber befindlichen Furnier- oder Hartplatten 4, wird entsprechend der Grösse des Innenmasses eines Holzrahmens 1 in einem oder mehreren Teilen zugeschnitten und in den Holzrahmen eingelegt. Zu diesem Zweck können Verschnittplatten verwendet werden. Dabei bleibt gegenüber dem Holzrahmen 1 ein Spalt 5 bestehen, mit dessen Hilfe durch Temperatur- und Feuchtigkeitsschwankungen entstehende Spannungen des Verbunds 2, 3, 4 gegenüber dem Holzrahmen 1 ausgeglichen werden. Die Verbindung des Verbunds 2, 3, 4 mit dem Holzrahmen 1 erfolgt durch zwei Deckblätter 6, welche einerseits mit dem Verbund und andererseits mit dem Holzrahmen 1 verleimt werden.
