Abstract
Description
With the devices for the development of the abdominal muscles that have become known, one usually lies on a straight or inclined plane with the head hanging downward and must laboriously pull himself up from this position. This requires a healthy, sporty body. As a rule, the leg muscles must also be used to a greater or lesser extent with these devices, which is often undesirable and often hardly possible if, for example, are sick or elderly. In addition, the known devices have the disadvantage of a large space requirement.
The invention is intended to remedy these shortcomings and, in particular, to solve the problem of creating a space-saving gymnastics device with which people who are not very straight, or who are difficult to get up from lying down, can strengthen and develop their abdominal muscles.
To achieve this object, it is proposed according to the invention to mount the backrest of a chair-like device in a gymnastics device of the type mentioned at the outset against the force of springs or weights so that it can pivot backwards on the seat frame of the device.
Such a device is also suitable for people who are not athletic, even for elderly or disabled people, because you can simply drop back or jerk while sitting and you can always get into it by the spring force or the counterweight Sitting position back.
In the device, the backrest can be connected to the seat frame by tension springs via two armrest-like support arms arranged on both sides of the seat surface. The backrest can also be connected to the seat frame by means of compression springs supported on the backrest on guide rods attached to the backrest.
An advantageous embodiment of the device results when the armrests of the chair-like device are supported up to about the height of the backrest and the backrest is connected by tension springs to the armrests attached to the two sides of the seat frame.
It has proven particularly expedient to extend the backrest downward via the swivel axis and to install tension springs between the extension and the rear legs of the seat frame. The extension of the backrest should be angled towards the rear legs of the support frame. To avoid damaging the springs or to prevent injury to people, the Tension springs are covered with flexible material hoses.
In another embodiment of the invention, the backrest is to be fixedly attached to a crankshaft which is rotatably mounted on the seat frame and at the ends of which weights can be attached.
To increase the stability of the device, the rear legs of the seat frame can be extended to the rear and placed outwards.
A change in the exercise position of the practicing person can be achieved if adjustable telescopic tubes, between which a footrest (20) is attached, are arranged on the support frame.
A two-part seat belt can be provided on the side of the seat frame and a one-piece support belt can be attached between the front legs of the seat frame or in front of the footrest between the telescopic tubes in order to give the practitioner more support.
On the basis of the accompanying drawings, on which various exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown, this will be explained in more detail below.

As can be seen from the figures, the
The example of FIG. 5 is similar in operation. Here, the movably mounted
To prevent the risk of injury, the springs can be covered with a stretchy material. The task can be solved much safer against the risk of injury in that the
In order to increase the tilting moment, the rear legs of the chair-like device are extended and flipped out. The necessary slip resistance during the exercise is achieved by means of
The advantages achieved with the invention consist in particular in that the book muscles can be tensed even more than in conventional devices, coming downwards as well as upwards. The abdominal muscles are always tense during training. The spine becomes more elastic. The back muscles are developed. The springs or weights can be easily and arbitrarily increased or decreased, as with the expander or dumbbells. The device does not take up much more space than a normal chair. So it may fit into every room in a bathroom.
