Abstract

In frames consisting of sheet-metal sections (1) which have a bending edge at the edge with the tread plane because one leg (2) of the frame is bent round into the tread plane, this edge cannot be made sharp. Thus, when the panels are laid against one another, there is a small gap which, especially where thin hard floor coverings are concerned, can lead to a break of the floor covering at this point under a load exerted at a particular point. The sharp edge can be obtained, on the one hand, by designing the leg (2) as a sheet-metal part (5) bent back on itself, the free end of the sheet-metal part (5) coming to rest on the panel edge. Alternatively, it can be achieved in that a bead (9) formed in the sheet-metal section (7) in the vicinity of the respective panel edge is evened off in a tool in such a way that it forms as a result of the creep of the sheet-metal material. In the finished floor panel, the frame is filled with flowable hardening material. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a frame for double floor panels in particular.

In such floor panels, there is a problem that the bending edge between the leg lying on the tread surface of the panel on the one hand and the part of the frame plate forming the side edge of the panel on the other hand has a radius of at least about 1 mm as a rule. This creates a correspondingly large gap when the plates are placed against one another, which is undesirable in practice. This gap is particularly disruptive, for example, if the floor slabs are provided with a thin hard surface as a tread surface. In such cases, it can happen that the hard covering is subjected to stress, e.g. by women appearing with stiletto heels at this point. This danger exists especially in the corner areas of the panels.

To create an improvement here is the object of the present invention. Alternative solutions to this problem are contained in the characterizing parts of claims 1 and 2.

In the solution according to claim 1, the sheet metal part bent outwards on the leg with its free side edge can form the side closure of the base plate in such a way that the plates laid to form a closed base each lie directly against this side edge. However, it is also possible to laterally free the free side edges of the sheet metal part folded down on the legs by a very small amount, e.g. leave about 1/10 mm behind, so that the panels do not lie directly on the free edges of the folded sheet metal parts, but on the frame profile below. The only decisive factor is that a gap of the order of magnitude is avoided, as is given in the known prior art with the upper outer edge of the plate being produced only by bending.

In the solution according to claim 2, the upper bending edge area is subsequently formed with sharp edges on the preformed sheet metal profiles provided with beads, by pressing sheet material in a targeted manner into the bending edge area by leveling the beads. How this shaping of the bending edge area can take place in detail can be found in the following description of an exemplary embodiment.

One embodiment of each of the two solutions according to the invention is shown in the drawing. Show it
  • Fig. 1 shows a section through a frame sheet profile corresponding to the solution according to claim 1
  • 2 shows the section through a preformed frame sheet profile as the starting profile for the forming process according to claim 2
  • Fig. 3 clamped the sheet metal profile of FIG. 2 in a forming tool
  • Fig. 4 shows a section through the fully formed frame profile sheet with a sharp-edged upper edge

By welding together four frame sheet metal profiles 1 in the form according to FIG. 1, a frame can be filled with a mass for a base plate. The leg 2 coming to lie on the tread surface side of the base plate consists of a first part 3 which is bent from the part 4 of the sheet metal profile 1 forming the side edge of the base plate and a second part 5 which is bent outwards onto part 3. The free side edge 6 forms the side end of the subsequent base plate. This closure formed by the free side edge 6 can match the outermost region of part 4 of the sheet metal profile 1. The free side edge 6 can also protrude or protrude slightly, ie about 1/10 mm from the outermost area of the part 6.

The lower leg 13 of the sheet metal profile 1 can also be bent back outward on itself. However, it is not necessary for the bent part to protrude all the way out.

In Fig. 2, the starting sheet profile for the method according to claim 2 is shown. The sheet profile 7 there has a U-shaped basic shape. A longitudinal bead 9 is formed in the sheet metal profile near the bending edge 8.

To form an exactly rectangular bending edge 8, the sheet profile 7 is clamped in a forming tool. This tool consists in detail of a receptacle 10, a hold-down plate 11 and a pressure plate 12. In order to level the bead 9 and thus to cause a material flow in the direction of the bending edge 8, the tool is operated as follows:

The sheet profile 7 is inserted with its inner contour into the receptacle 10 and clamped with the hold-down plate 11. With the pressure plate 12, the Sikke 9 is deformed flat so that the bulge of the bead 9 flows in the direction of the right-angled bending edge 8.

Das fertige Blechprofil mit einer tatsächlich Scharfkantigen bzw. rechteckigen Biegekante 8, bei dem die Sicke 9 eingeebnet ist, zeigt Figur 4.FIG. 4 shows the finished sheet metal profile with an actually sharp-edged or rectangular bending edge 8, in which the bead 9 is leveled.
