Description

The invention relates to a fold-out ironing table with a base frame, sleeve board, iron shelf and laundry shelf.

Various types of ironing boards are known.

So far, however, no combination is known that sufficiently takes ergonomic aspects into account.

The market has ironing tables, to which some additional parts are integrated, such as. B. iron shelf, but due to their construction, no longer allow extensions, or these must be installed in addition.

As a result, the ironing board either becomes bulky, i.e. it is difficult to transport or store, or these parts must be reassembled each time they are used or disassembled after the ironing process has ended. This results in the ergonomic disadvantages already mentioned, since the workflow should be made easier for the user due to the systematic arrangement of all the aids.

This is not the case with the known models even when the ironing board is set up on an uneven surface, such as carpet, since this does not compensate have devices of the base.

Furthermore, no ironing tables are known, the design of the base frame of which enables ironing when seated.

The arrangement of the foot frame leads to an abutment of the knee area of the working person. Furthermore, it has been shown in the known designs that the base frame can inadvertently fold out during transport. This can cause property damage or even injury.

The storage of a spray bottle or the like is also insufficiently considered. During the ironing process, these will tip over due to the ironing movement if no special storage is provided for the spray bottle.

The invention is therefore based on the object of providing an ironing board which, as a compact device, has integrated all the necessary auxiliary parts, such as ironing board, laundry storage area, etc. these are permanently mounted and, if necessary, are arranged on the ironing board so they can be folded in and out, taking into account all ergonomically important details.

This object is achieved in that the hinged ironing board has a foldable and foldable ironing surface.

Furthermore, the fold-out ironing table with base frame, sleeve board, iron shelf and laundry shelf characterized in that the base frame consists of two asymmetrically formed legs.

The ironing board has a base frame consisting of two legs 6, 7 and an ironing board 2 which is arranged on two parallel running rails 24 and 25.

By means of wire brackets 26 attached to the ironing board 2, a sleeve board 13 is arranged such that it can be folded in and retracted under the ironing surface 12.

On the back of the ironing board 2, a laundry shelf 11 is provided at the same height as the ironing surface, the frame of which has a vertical bend 27 which introduces into a holder 28 arranged below the ironing board 2 and can thus be pivoted approximately at the height of the ironing surface 12, so that in the pivoted-in state the storage surface 11 is located directly above the ironing surface 12, that is to say there is only little play between the two surfaces. A clothes rack 10 is mounted on the frame of the laundry storage area 11, which enables clothes hangers to be hung on. The shape of the clothes rack 10 is discussed in more detail in FIGS. 14 to 17. The iron rest 29 preferably consists of a wire fastened to the rails 24 and 25 set 30 with an internal storage surface 31.

A whip spring 32 is provided on the wire frame 30 to guide the iron of the cable.

Figure 2 shows a plan view of the ironing board from the direction "A" indicated in Figure 1.

In addition to the arrangements of the aids already mentioned, such as sleeve board 13, laundry storage surface 11, hanger holder 10 and ironing board 29, the shape of the ironing board 2 is made clear. The arrangement of the hinged surface 3 is of great importance. Thus, the ironing surface 12 can be narrowed, if necessary, so that certain ironing operations are made considerably easier.

The laundry storage surface 11 consists of cross members 21 and a frame 20, the end of which bends into an angle 27 which leads into a holder 28 arranged under the ironing surface and is rotatably mounted therein. It can be seen here that the hanger stand 10 engages around the frame 20 of the laundry rack 11 with its joint 15 and is thus rotatable on the frame 20.

In the folded state, the clothes hanger stand 10 rests on the frame 20a. In the laundry shelf is the Spray bottle rack 9 inserted. This has a semicircular recess 23 into which the spray bottle is inserted and held in an inclined position by the wire bracket 22. With this arrangement, the spray bottle does not get out of its position even during violent bow movements and can be grasped at any time by a simple hand movement.

Figure 3 shows a view of the ironing board from the direction "B" indicated in Figure 2. From this perspective, the folding device of the sleeve board 13 is identified by the dash-dotted direction arrow "x". The more precise folding and pivoting mechanism is discussed in more detail in FIG. The base frame 6, 7 has a common axis 33 about which the two legs 6 and 7 of the base frame can be rotated.

In the lower area, the legs have a deflection 34, 35, each of which merges into a base 4, 5. The function of the feet is discussed in more detail in FIGS. 12 and 13.

Figure 4 shows a view of the ironing board from below. The ironing board 2 consists of a wire mesh 37 which rests on a square tubular frame 38. Two angular rails 24 and 25 rest on the wire mesh 37.

The square tube frame 38 has approximately the shape of the bracket surface 12. A special feature of the frame 38 is that the bevel 59 has two corner supports 69 which accommodate the hinges 1.

A stop 61 is arranged under the ironing surface parallel to the bevel 59. If the lock-like tongue 62 is moved to "k", a lock takes place and the small ironing surface 3 can no longer fold away. The rotating or folding movement is made possible by the fact that a tube 63 with pins is arranged under the ironing surface 12 and are guided in the corner holders 69. This mechanism forms the hinge. In this exemplary embodiment, a magnet 65 is used to hold the small ironing surface 3 below the ironing surface attached, which adheres to the wire mesh arranged magnetic sheet 66.

However, this holder can also be released by a grid or similar device. The transverse tube rod 67 receives the rails 24 and 25. It is noteworthy that due to the structural nature of the tubular frame and the foldable ironing surface, the working angles a and b of the folded ironing surface are congruent.

When folded, the ironing surface 3 is sunk completely under the ironing board. In FIGS. 22 and 23 the condition of the folding surface is discussed again.

Furthermore, three axes 33, 39 and 40 can be seen. The axis 33 is the common axis about which the legs 6 and 7 are rotatably mounted. The axis 39 is arranged in a stationary manner between the running rails 24 and 25, to which the supporting leg 6 is fastened.

The axis 40 is provided with sliding ends 41 and can be moved longitudinally within the running rails 24 and 25, the supporting leg 7 being fastened to this axis.

This results in a scissor function of the base frame.

A rod 42 fastened to the axis 40 is thereby Move parallel to the rails 24 and 25.

This is made possible by actuating the handle lever 43. The tip 44 (FIGS. 5-8) of the rod 42 is guided in a recess 45 (FIGS. 5 to 8) of an angle plate 46 (FIGS. 5-8).

The transport lock 14 is arranged on the axis 40, into which the support leg 6 is pressed and held by the lugs 53 (FIGS. 9-11) of the transport lock 14. As already mentioned, the wire brackets 26 of the sleeve board are explained in more detail in FIG. 18.

Figure 5 shows a cross section of the ironing board along the section line A-A indicated in Figure 4.

The ironing board 2 has a wire frame 37 resting on a square tubular frame 38. The ironing surface 12 is provided with a felt covering 47 and a protective cover 48.

The handle lever 43 merges into an axis of rotation 50 which is mounted in the rails 24 and 25.

The axis of rotation 50 is surrounded by an angled plate 46 biased by a spring 51 (FIG. 6) saving 45 the rod 42 is guided.

FIG. 6 shows a detail of the detail “C” identified in FIG. 5 and shows the running rail 25 with the axis of rotation 50 which is surrounded by the angle plate 46. A spring 51 gives the angle plate 46 a prestress, which guides the rod 42 in its recess 45.

Figure 7 shows a view of the detail of Figure 6 from the direction "E". It can be seen here that the rod 42 has a taper 52 which could be moved freely within the recess 45, even if the handle lever 43 is not actuated.

Therefore, in order to prevent the foot frame from being unintentionally folded out, the transport lock shown in FIG. 4 is arranged on the axis 40.

FIG. 8 shows a cross section through the ironing board along the section line BB indicated in FIG. 4. This shows the axis 40 with the transport lock 14, the lugs 53 of which clamp the support leg 6. The sliding ends 41 allow the axis 40 to be moved between the running rails 24 and 25 in the longitudinal direction.

Figures 9, 10 and 11 show the transport lock from different views.

The transport lock 14 essentially consists of a base part 57 and two retaining lugs 53. The base part 57 has a semicircular recess 58 provided for receiving the axis 40. Two elastic lugs 53 are formed on the base part 57 and, when the supporting leg 6 is pressed on, bend out so far that the lugs 53 enclose and clamp the supporting leg 6.

FIG. 12 shows a basic illustration of the shape of the base frame 6, 7. The base 4/5 is telescopic and can be pulled out in the direction "Y", so that an improved stability is guaranteed. For stability, a frame corner 55 is inserted between the base parts 6, 7 and 4/5.

FIG. 13 shows a schematic view of the foot 5 from the direction “F” indicated in FIG. The arranged on the base 5 head knobs 8 is eccentrically attached to the foot 5, so that small bumps in the floor can be compensated for by turning the head knobs 8.

Eccentricity can be achieved either by shaping the knob or the foot.

FIGS. 14, 15, 16 and 17 show the clothes rack 10. With its hinge 15 it engages around the frame 20 (FIG. 2) of the laundry rack 11 and is therefore rotatable. The vertical support rod 36 is so long that it lies in the folded state on the frame 20a of the laundry rack 11.

The foldable bracket 18 has an elongated hole 54 on both sides, through which a split pin or rivet leads and which movably connects the hinged bracket 18 to the support rod 36 and the stop cap 17 (FIG. 16). The stop cap 17 is designed such that after the console 18 is pulled up to "b", the console 18 can be tilted due to its rounding 60.

After pressing the bracket 18 down to "d", the shelf 49 strikes the edge 56 and it is not possible to fold it over, even when subjected to clothing, ie when a force "F" is applied. The semicircular tubular design of the bracket 18, as shown in FIG. 15, ensures that the support rod 36 is completely surrounded by the bracket 18, so that when folded, both parts appear as one element.

FIG. 16 shows the stop cap 17 in detail, the described rounding 60 and the stop 56 being illustrated. The slot 72 receives the common split pin or rivet.

The stop cap 17 is located within the support rod 36 after assembly.

Figure 17 shows the spring 71 in detail. It is preferably V-shaped and has at its ends two lugs 70 which protrude through the wall of the support rod 36 and snap into the holes 68 when the console 18 is folded in.

FIG. 18 shows the principle of the folding and swiveling mechanism of the sleeve board 13.

Here, wire brackets 26 are arranged parallel to two spacers 73 below the sleeve board 13 on two axes of rotation 26a.

The wire bracket 26 are deflected so that storage is possible underneath and for ironing above the ironing surface 12. By pulling the sleeve board to "A" it is pulled forward under the board. By moving to "B", the height of the sleeve board is changed and when it is pushed in to "C" it is positioned over the ironing surface 12.

Figures 19 to 21 show the eccentric stud 8 disassembled into its individual parts.

The eccentric knob 8 consists of a body 75 with an eccentrically arranged axis, from which a molded cylinder 76 protrudes, which is surrounded by a circular tube 77. The body 75 is provided with groove-shaped elevations 78 for stability. A facing cap 87 is arranged on the end face. An inner cylinder 79 is inserted into the circular tube 77 and, by means of its lugs 80, locks the inner cylinder 79 against rotation in that the lugs 80 engage in the grid 81 present within the circular tube 77.

The body 78 can only be rotated by pulling the knob 8 toward "x", the spring 82 surrounding the cylinder 76 being compressed. A locking washer 83 is arranged at the end of the cylinder. The eccentric arrangement of axis 76 "y" enables level compensation.

Figures 22 and 23 again show the folding surface of the ironing board from below (Figure 22) and a section along the line D-D (Figure 23).

It is a special feature of the invention that the flanged wall 84 of the folding surface 3 has a recess 85/86. This enables, when the folding surface 3 is moved to "v", that the folding surface 3 is completely sunk inside the ironing board 2 (dash-dotted line) and does not protrude.

This is made possible essentially by the arrangement of the hinges, which consists of a pin (1) arranged within the tube 63 and the corner support 69. It ensures the rotary movement to "v".

It is apparent from the invention that almost all ergonomic problems are solved with the provision of this ironing board.

The arrangement of all aids, such as an iron shelf with cable routing, a swiveling laundry shelf with clothes hanger and spray bottle shelf, a foldable sleeve board, a foldable ironing surface, the arrangement of the transport lock and the shape of the foot frame, which enable ironing while sitting, since the legs are deflected in the knee area, as well as the telescopic length adjustment and height adjustment of the feet meet all the requirements of an ergonomically designed ironing board.
