Eine derartige Ersatzzigarette ist aus der DE-OS 16 32 249 bekannt. Dabei ist der brennbare Teil konzentrisch um ein über die gesamte Länge der Ersatzzigarette verlaufendes, als Reservoir dienendes Röhrchen angeordnet. Dies ergibt einen sehr aufwendigen Aufbau, so daß die Fertigung jeder einzelnen Ersatzzigarette äußerst kostspielig ist. Darüber­hinaus muß nicht nur der brennbare Teil verglimmen, sondern auch das Reservoir mit dem Röhrchen muß dem allmählichen Verbrennungsprozeß folgend ebenfalls abbrennen. Dabei ist zu befürchten, daß aufgrund der verschiedenen Stoffe, die abgebrannt werden müssen, acuh Schadstoffe entstehen, so daß diese Ersatzzigarette zwar die Aufnahme von Nikotin vermeiden kann, dennoch aber eine Gesundheitsschädigung befürchtet werden muß.Such a replacement cigarette is known from DE-OS 16 32 249. In vorteilhafter Weise ergibt sich da­durch gleichzeitig ein wesentlich einfacherer Aufbau der Ersatzzigarette, weil sie nicht über ihre Länge mit einem Röhrchen mit Inhalaten versehen werden muß. Vielmehr kann ein brennbarer Teil aus möglichst nur einer Substanz aufge­baut sein, an den sich - ähnlich wie bei Filterzigaret­ten - dann der Teil anschließt, in welchem die Duft- und/­oder Geschmacksstoffe vorhanden sind, die nach und nach durch das Einsaugen von Luft und Verbrennungsrückständen von dem Raucher aufgenommen werden. Da jedoch bei der Ver­brennung nur in erster Linie Kohlendioxyd und allenfalls Wasserdampf entstehen, werden Schadstoffe und krebserre­gende Stoffe vermieden.
