Description

The invention relates to an adhesive tape for the reclosable closure of a tubular bag or the like, as well as its use as a reclosable original closure and also tubular bags or the like which are equipped with such a closure. In particular, the invention relates to an adhesive tape for a closure, which on the one hand can be repeatedly opened and closed again, but which on the other hand shows at first glance in the manner of an original closure whether this closure has already been opened or not.

Various types of reclosable closures are known in the prior art, which are also quite suitable for tubular bags or the like. For example, European patent application A2 134 130 describes a tubular bag with an adhesive tape closure that can be opened and closed repeatedly. The tape closure is glued over a longitudinal row of weak points in the tubular bag so that one begins to pull the seal from the tubular bag with the help of a handle on this seal until the row of weak spots is exposed, whereupon these weak spots tear open and thus the Open the bag and release its contents. The bag is closed again in the opposite sense, the adhesive tape closure is pressed into its original position on the bag and thus closed again. Such a closure system is commercially available under the name "tesa-seal".

Although such an adhesive tape closure is sufficient for many practical applications, the problem of an original closure is inadequately solved. Because an original closure should show in a simple manner whether a package, such as a tubular bag, has already been opened and then closed again or not. Although the above-mentioned tape closure of the prior art, on closer inspection based on the weak points that have already been broken open, can indicate that the closure has already been opened, but after some practice it is possible to re-bond the closure so precisely that it is suitable for one It is hardly possible for a non-specialist to determine whether the closure has already been opened. This known closure system cannot therefore always meet the high requirements for an original closure.

The object of the invention was to remedy this, in particular to provide an adhesive tape for the reclosable closure of a tubular bag or the like, which at the same time unambiguously indicates whether the closure has already been opened.

Accordingly, the invention relates to an adhesive tape for the reclosable closure of a tubular bag or the like made of a carrier partially coated with an adhesive with a handle running laterally in the longitudinal direction of the adhesive tape, which is characterized in that the carrier adjoins the handle in a tear-open area continues, which can be torn open in the longitudinal direction of the adhesive tape in the manner of an original closure, and continues adjacent to it in a further adhesive area coated with adhesive.

With this adhesive tape according to the invention, both an original closure and a reclosable closure for tubular bags and the like can be produced in a simple manner, which at first glance and for the layperson can be seen whether the closure has already been opened or not.

The carrier of the adhesive tape according to the invention preferably consists of a plastic film, which in turn can be transparent, in particular for transparent tubular bags, and thus does not impair the appearance of the packaging. Instructions are advantageously printed on the handle running in the longitudinal direction of the adhesive tape, as to how the closure is to be handled, for example in which direction it is to be pulled and then closed again. The adhesive used is advantageously a self-adhesive, possibly also transparent. With a suitable design, however, hot melt type adhesives or the like can also be used.

In the tear-open area, the beginning is advantageously designed as a handle, for example by tearing part of the tear-open area and pre-bent, or by gluing a small piece of adhesive tape onto the beginning, preferably colored in a striking color, or else by marking the beginning strong varnish or the like is printed. Instructions for use can also be printed in the tear-open area, for example in which direction to pull. The tear-open area is advantageously designed such that a tear strip is underlaid in the longitudinal direction of the adhesive tape, with the aid of which the original closure is destroyed when the tear is opened. It can be in Tear-open area but also a perforation or slots running in the longitudinal direction of the adhesive tape, along which the tear is then carried out. Finally, the carrier of the adhesive tape itself can also be designed to be particularly suitable for tearing in the tear-open area by using a carrier which is strongly stretched in the longitudinal direction of the adhesive tape, preferably a carrier made of predominantly monoaxially stretched polypropylene.

The adhesive tape 1 according to the invention shown in cross section in FIG. 1 consists of a carrier 2 made of monoaxially stretched polypropylene, stretched in the direction of the adhesive tape. The carrier 2 is partially coated with a self-adhesive 5a and 5b such that a grip 3 and a tear-open area 4 remain free of adhesive. The tear-open area 4 is designed to tear open from the carrier 2 by a series of longitudinal slots. Adhesive area 6, which carries adhesive 5b, adjoins tear area 4.

The embodiment shown in FIG. 2 corresponds to the above description, but has a small piece of adhesive tape 8, which serves as a handle, in the tear-open area at the beginning and on the upper side thereof. A tear strip 9 is arranged underneath the tear-open area 4, which enables the carrier 2 to be torn open securely without this carrier 2 according to this embodiment needing to be perforated or slotted in its tear-open area 4.

Damit ist auch für Laien und auf den ersten Blick ersichtlich, ob es sich um eine original-verschlossene Verpackung handelt oder nicht.FIGS. 3-5 show the different stages of an adhesive tape according to the invention, FIG. 3 in the stage of the original closure and glued to a tubular bag 11 with a longitudinal row of weak points 10, here formed as a longitudinal row of small slits. By pulling the tear-open area 4 in the direction of arrow A, the carrier 2 is separated in such a way that the partially opened shape shown in FIG. 4 remains. In this form, the handle 3 is now gripped and pulled in the direction of arrow B. As shown in FIG. 5, the adhesive 5a lifts off from the tubular bag 11 and exposes the longitudinal row of weak points 10 that was previously hidden by the adhesive 5a. These continue to open in the direction of arrow B, the contents of the bag are accessible and open. In the direction of arrow C, FIG. 5, the adhesive tape is pressed onto the tubular bag 11 again with an adhesive 5a, and the bag is thus sealed closed, as shown in Figure 4. In this form, it is readily apparent to the viewer that the original closure, as shown in FIG. 3, no longer exists, but rather that the closure has already been opened by the tear-off area 4 being missing. This means that even laypersons can see at first glance whether the packaging is originally sealed or not.

In Figur 6 ist schematisch dargestellt, wie ein erfindungsgemäßes Klebeband, aufgebracht als Verschluß auf einem Schlauchbeutel mit einer Längsreihe von Schwachstellen 10, und ausgerüstet mit einem Anfasser anfangs des Aufreißbereichs 4, durch Ziehen in Richtung der Pfeile A und dann B geöffnet werden kann.FIG. 6 shows schematically how an adhesive tape according to the invention, applied as a closure on a tubular bag with a longitudinal row of weak points 10 and equipped with a handle at the beginning of the tear-open area 4, can be opened by pulling in the direction of the arrows A and then B.
