Abstract

The invention relates to a dosing pump (1) which can be placed in particular on bottles or the like, having a pump bellows (B) and two valves (V1, V2) of which the one, inflow-side valve (V1) is seated in the base region of a pot (T) which is connected in a plug-in manner to the elastically restoring pump bellows (B) and surrounds the pump bellows. The pump bellows forms, at its lower end, a foot support ring (21), which forms a free-standing lip section (22). For the purpose of optimisation in respect of co-ordination and design technology, the invention provides for the folding leg (24) of the final fold (17''') of the pump bellows (B) to extend upwards and outwards starting from a connecting point (23) of the lip section (22) for the foot support ring (21), and for the lip section (22) to extend downwards and outwards in such a way that the lip section (22) encloses with the folding leg (24) approximately a right angle ( alpha ), the angle bisecting line (z-z) running approximately in the horizontal plane. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a metering pump which can be placed in particular on bottles or the like, with a pump bellows and two valves, of which the one inlet-side valve is seated in the bottom region of a pot which is plug-connected to the elastically returning pump bellows and comprises the pump bellows, a movable upper pump part being guided on the pot wall , to which the second outlet-side valve is assigned, to which a mouthpiece channel is connected, and in the area where the pump bellows is plug-connected to the pump upper part, the pump bellows forming a foot support ring at its lower end, starting from the lowest pump bellows fold, on a collar of the Sits on the bottom of the pot and forms a free-standing lip section which projects radially over the collar of the bottom of the pot.

The lip section of the pump bellows takes a slightly roof-shaped, rotationally symmetrical course of inclination lying in the bellows assignment direction; When the guide system touches the inside wall of the pot, which contact is also advantageous for reasons of closure technology, it can happen with unfavorable tolerance pairs that the lip section folds back against the plug assignment direction of the pump bellows and maintains this position. Since tensions flow into the foot support ring depending on the extent of the refolding, the bellows support and the desired sealing seat on the collar of the pot base can be impaired.

The object of the invention is a metering pump of the type shown while maintaining the advantageous To optimize basic principles with regard to the formation and allocation of bellows.

This object is achieved by the invention specified in claim 1.

This object is also achieved by the invention specified in claim 2.

The subclaims are advantageous developments of the metering pump according to the invention.

As a result of such a configuration, the disadvantages indicated are avoided. The lip section can no longer come into a fold-back constellation; the seal on the collar of the base of the pot proves to be reliable, so that the function of the dispenser is flawless. The structural means are simple and functional. The procedure is such that, starting from a point of connection of the lip section with the foot support ring, the fold leg of the end fold of the pump bellows extends upwards and outwards and the lip section extends downwards and outwards in such a way that the lip section encloses approximately a right angle with the fold leg, where the bisector is approximately horizontal. The corresponding, now steeper inclined position of the lip section prevents any folding back. Rather, the functionally appropriate system on the inner wall of the pot is corrected by increasing the orientation of the fold. The annular space between the outer wall of the collar and the inner wall of the pot wall is fully bridged in terms of support technology. Accordingly, the maturing stabilizing effect of the lip section can be optimally used. No deforming forces flow on the sealing seat between the collar and the pump bellows. The fact that the folding leg also migrates outwards means that the connection point also lies further in the direction of the longitudinal central axis of the pump bellows. As far as the volume of the bellows is concerned, the radial clearance zone can now also be used in terms of bellows volume. This practically implies a lower overall height of the metering pump. You get by with a short stroke instead of a long stroke. The invention is also characterized in that the pump bellows merges into a lower end ring, that the end ring has a greater thickness than the pump bellows and that the lip section and the foot support ring are integrally formed on the end ring and extend downward. This end ring gives the pump bellows a stabilization zone in its lower region, which enables the connection of the downwardly extending foot support ring and the downwardly extending lip section. It also proves to be an advantage that the lip section extends over an air inlet opening of the base of the pot in the manner of a sealing lip and, for this purpose, interacts with the inside wall of the pot in a closure-like manner. The volume dispensed in the bottle is compensated via such an air inlet opening. With a corresponding negative pressure in the bottle space, the lip section stands out slightly from its seat formed by the inner wall of the pot. Especially when performing such a closure function, it is of great importance that the lip section does not fold back during assembly. The very steep orientation chosen according to claim 1 prevents this, as already said, with certainty. It is also favorable that the circumferential lip edge recedes behind a cylinder surface which receives the pump bellows in the area of the pump bellows folds. This has both a manufacturing advantage and a structural advantage. Above all, demolding is simplified because exposed radial projections are no longer are available. This measure also allows full use of the existing bellows receiving space with regard to the bellows volume. In an advantageous further development, it is then proposed that the pot in its lower region forms a funnel tapering towards the pot bottom, which ends in a cylindrical section of the inner wall of the pot, the lip edge resting in this section. This also has the advantage of the most favorably usable precentering, since the lip section projecting downwards is centered by the funnel before the support ring seals onto the collar of the pot base. The blind assembly of the bellows is optimized. In addition, there is also the fact that the lip section can be given a slight pretension due to the constriction of the lip edge due to the funnel. It is also favorable that the cylindrical section is formed within the projected cylinder surface. Finally, an advantageous feature of the invention is that the support ring, starting from the connection point, is approximately hook-shaped, composed of an approximately horizontally extending area and an approximately vertically extending area, the vertically extending area projecting into the neck as an inner collar. In this way, the internal pressure prevailing in the pump bellows can be used in the phase of loading for an increased sealing system between the inner collar and connecting piece. The term hook-shaped naturally means a rotationally symmetrical structure. The other side fastening of the pump bellows is finally solved structurally in that the upper end of the pump bellows is approximately cylindrical in shape, with a diameter corresponding approximately to that of the cylinder surface, for sealing placement on a correspondingly designed, nozzle-shaped area of the pump upper part. Because of the bones of the bellows folds the bellows body itself, which is supported by the lip section on the base of the pot, itself forms the plug abutment; there is therefore always a secure plug connection between the pump bellows and the pump-side assignment points. With regard to the further embodiments in the embodiment specified above with the end ring located in the lower region of the pump bellows, reference is made to the following specific description and to the claims.

  • Fig. 1 eine mit der erfindungsgemäßen Dosierpumpe ausgestattete Flasche in Seitenansicht;
  • Fig. 2 einen Vertikalschnitt durch die Dosierpumpe in gegenüber Fig. 1 erheblich vergrößerter Wiedergabe, und zwar in Grundstellung;
  • Fig. 4 eine Querschnittsdarstellung eines weiteren, abgeänderten Ausführungsbeispieles.
The subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of an exemplary embodiment illustrated in the drawing. It shows:
  • 1 shows a side view of a bottle equipped with the metering pump according to the invention;
  • FIG. 2 shows a vertical section through the metering pump in a considerably enlarged representation compared to FIG. 1, in the basic position;
  • Figure 3 is a same section, but in the actuating end position. and
  • Fig. 4 is a cross-sectional view of another, modified embodiment.

The metering pump 1 is screwed onto the neck 2 of a bottle 3. The external thread of the bottle neck 2 is designated 4; the internal thread 5 which can be brought into engagement with it is located on a screw cap 6.

The cap screw cap 6 holds an annular flange 7 of a pump lower part 8 which forms the pump housing G.

Dieser ruht auf der horizontalen Stirnfläche 2′ des Halses 2.An overlying clamping edge 9 of the screw cap 6 comes into contact with the radially outwardly sloping upper flank of the ring flange 7, the lower flank of which overlies a sealing ring 10. This rests on the horizontal end face 2 'of the neck 2.

The lower pump part 8 is designed as a pot T. The section a of the pot T or pump lower part 8 lying below the ring flange 7 extends in the opening O of the bottle neck 2, essentially filling this opening completely. The pot T is extended beyond the plane delimiting the opening Ö below, which forms a radially outwardly directed shoulder 11; the bottom of the pot 12 is clearly below the shoulder 11.

The section b of the pump lower part 8 extending above the horizontal, circumferential ring flange 7 is of approximately the same length as the axial height of the opening Ö.

The pump bottom part 8, which is cylindrical on its predominant axial length section, extends through a central opening 13 of the screw cap 6. The free-standing section b extends above it and slidably receives a guided pump top part 14 on the inside with limited stops. Its support in the basic position is provided by an annular collar 15 molded onto it on the outside, which treads against an inner shoulder 16 of the upper section b of the lower pump part 8. The upper pump part 14 is cup-shaped Ge stalt with upward opening and has a stepped cylindrical cross-section.

The basic position of the upper pump part 14 is under spring loading. The spring force is applied by a pump bellows B incorporated into the pump housing G. The latter consists of a resilient plastic material. It is realized as a molded part and has a number of bellows folds 17 adjoining one another in cross section in a zigzag shape. It is ring folds. The peripheral turns 17 'of the bellows folds 17 extend on a common theoretical cylinder surface 18, as well as the inward turns 17˝.

The pump bellows B, which is open axially and continuously, is connected at both ends to the pump lower part 8 plus pump upper part 14 forming the pump housing G. The plug connections are also sealing points.

H. On the storage room side, the plug connection / sealing point is formed on a collar 19 extending from the horizontal bottom 12 of the pot T. The latter extends concentrically to the longitudinal central axis x-x of the metering pump 1 and is thus concentric with the pot wall W of the pot T. An inner socket 20 enters the cavity of the said collar 19. The latter, like the collar 19, is cylindrical in shape. It (20) starts from a horizontally extending foot support ring 21 of the bellows B. This sits with its underside on the end face 19 'of the collar 19. The width of the underside corresponds to that of the annular end face 19 '.

A free-standing lip section 22 attaches to the outer edge of the foot ring 21. This is the bellows body molded with the same material. The relevant, node-like connection point bears the reference number 23. The latter includes a somewhat longer folding leg 24 than the other folding legs of the bellows folds 17, which runs into the aforementioned annular zigzag structure of the bellows, via the peripheral bend 17 'of the there final fold 17 ‴.

Der einwärtsweisende Steg des Y ist der Fußring 21.The spatial / functional structure is such that, starting from the point of connection 23 of the lip section 22 with the foot support ring 21, the folding leg 24 of the end fold 17 ‴ of the pump bellows B extends upwards and outwards and the lip section 22 extends downwards and outwards (cf. the basic position according to FIG. 2). The corresponding orientations are such that the lip section 22 with the folding leg 24 shoots in an outwardly opening right angle alpha, the bisector z-z running approximately horizontally, that is perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis x-x of the metering pump 1. So there is practically a Y-shaped fork. The inward web of the Y is the foot ring 21.

The circumferential lip edge 22 'does not protrude from the cylinder surface 18. The clear distance of the pump lower part 14 can be optimally used in space. In the basic position as well as in the actuating position, the peripheral bends 17 'defining the cylindrical surface 18' are, however, held in a contact-free distance y from the corresponding inner surface of the pot T.

The pot T is shaped into a funnel 25 in the lower region, approximately at the level of the shoulder 11. This opens upwards. Its rotationally symmetrical flank 26 intersects the cylinder surface 18. Following the said flank 26 also merges the pot T into a cylindrical section 27, which therefore has a smaller clear diameter than the cylindrical section of the inner wall of the pot that extends above said flank 26. The lip edge 22 'is supported with a certain slight bias on the pot bottom 12 facing section 27 of the pot. This section 27 thus functions practically as a closure or valve seat surface. Taking into account the also vertically cut end face of the lip edge 22 'results in a relatively wide area, which is due to the downward sloping position of the lip portion 22 wide area. The downward tapering can, however, be defused, so that the centering for the pump bellows B slipping of the lip edge 22 'over the flank 26 proves to promote sliding.

The lip edge 22 'occurs primarily in the centering contact to said funnel flank 26, so that the subsequent entry of the inner connector 20 in the collar 19 is optimally aligned. In addition, there is also an advantageous effect insofar as the slightly constricting lip section, which acts as a fulcrum in the connection location 23, approximately narrows the inner connector 20 towards the free end.

In turn, the funnel 28 formed on the underside of the lip section 22 also has a centering effect. The funnel 28 opens downward and in the final phase promotes the centering incorporation of the collar 19 into the funnel base.

The funnel 25 forming the flank 26 has a helix angle of approximately 30 °. So it ends relatively steeply into the portion 27 formed within the cylinder surface 18.

As far as the plug connection in the upper end of the pump bellows B is concerned, the procedure here is such that the upper end of the pump bellows B is approximately cylindrical. This cylindrical plug-in section bears the reference number 29. Its jacket wall terminates approximately with the cylindrical surface 18, i. H. its outer diameter corresponds essentially to that of the cylinder surface 18. The corresponding plug-in projection is located at the lower end of the pot-shaped pump upper part 8. The relevant neck-shaped area bears the reference number 30. A horizontal annular shoulder 31 produced by the removal of the outer wall of the pump upper part 14 functions as an axial limit stop for the attached pump bellows B.

If a sealing system of said plug-in section 29 which is favored by the internal pressure is desirable, then the solution shown in FIG. 2 on the right half in dash-dotted lines is suitable, in which the wall section on the inside of the bellows is kept free in the back. The functional parts are labeled accordingly.

In the center of the horizontal bottom 12 there is an inlet valve V1. Whose valve seat surface is designated 32. It is a funnel-shaped surface which is shaped in the transition area to a downward-facing, central connecting piece 33. The latter receives a riser pipe 34 which extends to just before the bottom of the bottle 3 (not shown).

The opening limit stop for the inlet-side valve V1 forms the downward-facing end edge 20 'of the inner socket 20. Radial channels 35, formed on the upper side of the valve body, enable the substance to be dispensed to pass properly through the bellows body even when the valve disc strikes.

An outlet-side valve V2 of the metering pump 1 is located in the upper fastening area between the pump bellows B and the pump upper part 14, which is guided in a vertically movable manner. Its valve seat surface 36 also has a funnel shape. The valve seat surface is located in a central, downward protuberance zone in the bottom of the pump upper part 14. The closed position of this valve V2 is under spring load. For this purpose, a plate-shaped spring collar 37 is formed on the upper end of the valve body. Whose rim is supported on a cover part 38 of the metering pump 1. The latter is connected to the pump upper part 14. The actual support surface is the downward-facing, annular end edge 39 of the cover part 38.

Der Tellerboden besitzt Durchbrechungen 40 zur Passage der auszugebenden Substanz.The plate bottom has openings 40 for the passage of the substance to be dispensed.

Es ist dies die Oberseite der Decke des Deckelteils 38.Another function of the cover part 38 closing the metering pump 1 upwards is that of forming an actuating surface 41. This is the top of the ceiling of the cover part 38.

Weiter ist das Deckelteil 38 so fortgebildet, daß es in einen seitlich ausgerichteten, die Überlauf-Schraubkappe 16 in dieser Richtung überragenden Mundstückkanal 42 übergeht, realisiert in Form einer schnabelförmigen Tülle 43.Furthermore, the cover part 38 is developed so that it fits into a laterally aligned mouthpiece channel 42, which projects over the overflow screw cap 16 in this direction passes, realized in the form of a beak-shaped spout 43.

A third functional extension is that an axially directed strip 44 extends from the jacket wall of the pump upper part 14 on the left-hand side. The latter projects with its lower end face 44 'from the corresponding end edge 8' of the pump lower part 8. In the strip width, the inner wall of the pot-shaped pump lower part then forms a guide groove 45. With congruent alignment to the bar 44, the pump upper part 14 can be pump-actively displaced by actuating the dispenser head. If the end 44 'takes an offset position to the guide groove 45, it hits the end face 8' of the pump upper part 8.

The function of a third valve or a closure can be taken over by the funnel-shaped lip section 22 which is turned down like a cuff. This valve has the reference symbol V3. The latter allows the air to be equalized as the filling content decreases, which is why the bottom 12 of the pot T, below the covering zone of the lip section 22, leaves an air inlet opening 46. The latter creates a connection from the interior of the bottle 3 to the joint area open to the outside between the lower pump part 8 and the upper pump part 14.

Die Pumpenkammer ist mit 47 bezeichnet.The pump chamber is designated 47.

The function of the metering pump 1 shown is as follows: by exerting a compressive force in the direction of arrow P, the pump bellows B is compressed. The excess pressure occurring in the pump chamber 47 of the pump bellows B keeps the inlet valve V1 closed. The medium in the pump chamber 47 (fluid or pasty) is displaced and, when a certain pressure threshold is reached, escapes via the outlet-side valve V2, which opens abruptly, passes through the interior 48 of the pump upper part 14 via openings 40 into the head 49 of the cover part 38, and then via the nozzle-like or strand-forming mouthpiece channel 42 to resign. If the cover part 38, which acts as an actuating handle, is now released, the restoring force of the pump bellows B causes the bellows to move back into the basic position shown in FIG. 2. The resulting negative pressure lifts the inlet valve V1 from its valve seat surface. The pump chamber 47 is refilled via the riser pipe 34. The same negative pressure holds the outlet-side valve V2, which is designed as a so-called soft valve, in the closed position.

The volume spent in the bottle storage area is supplemented by air. During the suction stroke, the relevant valve V3, ie lip section 22, lifts up from the corresponding valve seat surface, so that air can flow in in the direction of arrow A.

If the paste is pasty, the riser pipe is not required. In the then cylindrical storage housing, on the other hand, there is a follower piston which can only be moved in the dispensing direction and which runs over the decreasing fill level column.

Er tritt über diese theoretische Zylinderfläche 18 radial nach außen vor.4, a lower end ring 50 is formed, in which the pump bellows, more precisely the folding leg 24, merges in this embodiment. Specifically via a curvature 51, so that the folding leg 24 runs approximately vertically from above into the end ring 50. The end ring 50 has a greater thickness d than the pump bellows, for example the end fold 24 extending substantially downward - the lip portion 22 and a foot support ring 52 are formed. The end ring 50 extends radially over a peripheral bends 17 'of the bellows folds 17 receiving common theoretical cylinder surface 18. It occurs radially outwards over this theoretical cylinder surface 18.

The foot support ring 52 goes from a directly adjacent to the end ring 50, approximately V-shaped tapered area 52 'in an area 52˝ constant thickness.

The lap section 22 includes an obtuse angle of approximately 100 ° with a horizontal line passing through the end ring 50. Furthermore, the lip section 22 and the foot support ring 52 are each formed with a length which corresponds approximately to 4 to 5 times the thickness of the end ring 50. In addition, the lip section 22 also has an insertion bevel at its outer end, for insertion into the narrowed pot area.

In a further embodiment it is provided in the embodiment according to FIG. 4 that the inlet-side valve V1 is designed as a central valve pot which is connected to the end ring 50 via webs 53. When the pump bellows expands, the valve pot is raised by the suction effect and liquid can be sucked through the riser pipe 34 and the openings 54 between the webs 53 into the pump bellows and thus into the pump chamber.
