Claims (9)
- Procédé pour polir une surface à propriété optique, caractérisé par les étapes de :(a) fournir une surface à propriété optique comportant une première surface principale, ladite première surface principale ayant une valeur Rtm initiale supérieure à 0,35 micromètres;(b) amener ladite première surface principale en relation de mise en contact par frottement avec un article abrasif (10, 30 ; 40) où ledit article abrasif (10, 30 ; 40) comprend une structure du type feuille comportant une pluralité de composites abrasifs individuels (34 ; 44), déployés sur au moins une surface principale de celle-ci, chaque composite (34 ; 44) comprenant une pluralité de particules abrasives (35) dispersées dans un liant (36; 46) ; et(c) déplacer au moins l'un de ladite première surface principale mise en contact et dudit article abrasif (10, 30 ; 40) l'un par rapport à l'autre avec un mouvement rotatif et/ou oscillatoire, en présence d'un liquide sensiblement dépourvu de particules abrasives (35) d'une manière et pendant une durée efficace pour polir ladite première surface principale en vue d'obtenir une surface finie ayant une valeur Rtm finale de 0,30 micromètres ou moins.
- Procédé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en plus par ledit liant (36 ; 46) formé à partir d'un précurseur de liant durci via un mécanisme de polymérisation d'addition.
- Procédé selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en plus par ledit précurseur de liant (36 ; 46) étant choisi dans le groupe constitué d'uréthanes de (méth)acrylate, d'époxydes de (méth)acrylate, de composés éthyléniquement insaturés, de dérivés d'aminoplaste comportant des groupes carbonyle α,β-insaturés pendants, de dérivés d'isocyanurate comportant au moins un groupe acrylate pendant, des dérivés d'isocyanate comportant au moins un groupe acrylate pendant, d'éthers vinyliques, de résines époxy et de leurs mélanges.
- Procédé selon la revendication 3, caractérisé de plus par ledit précurseur de liant (36 ; 46) comprenant un mélange d'éther vinylique et d'un catalyseur en une quantité efficace pour amorcer un durcissement cationique.
- Procédé selon la revendication 4, caractérisé de plus par ledit éther vinylique ayant un poids moléculaire inférieur à 500.
- Procédé selon la revendication 5, caractérisé de plus par ledit mélange comprenant 10 à 80 parties en poids de particules abrasives (35) pour 100 parties en poids de particules abrasives (35) et d'éther vinylique.
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 6, caractérisé de plus en ce que ladite surface à propriété optique est choisie dans le groupe constitué de matière plastique et de verre.
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 7, caractérisé de plus en ce que chaque dit composite (34 ; 44) ayant une forme tridimensionnelle précise définie par une délimitation sensiblement nette et discernable.
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8, caractérisé de plus par chaque dit composite (34 ; 44) incluant une extrémité distale espacée de ladite première surface principale et ladite extrémité distale n'est pas liée à tout autre composite quelconque (34 ; 44).
