Abstract

The mountain boot lace eyelet consists of an external metallic casing (11) having a strong mechanical resistance which is fixed on the boot upper. The casing which is folded to form a rectangular section housing (11a) has a leg (11b) with a rivet hole (11c) for fastening to the boot upper. Two semi-circular notches (11e) are provided in the housing rear wall (11) for the passage of the lace. An insert (12) in the shape of a half pulley has a peripheral semi-circular groove (12b). The insert is fixed inside the casing and its groove forms a passage way for the lace. It has a low coefficient of friction and is made of a synthetic material such as teflon for facilitating sliding. The lace eyelet improves the sliding of the lace.

Description

The present invention relates to a passerby for shoe lace.

A shoe is traditionally made a sole and a stem with an opening for the passage of the foot and having on both sides of this opening a set of passers-by for one or several laces designed to allow the closure of this opening when traction is exerted on them.

These bystanders are generally constituted by hooks, but these hooks do not hold the lace when it is loose, or loops at through which the laces pass, passing alternately above and below the plane of each loop.

A major problem posed by all systems of known loops is the high friction occurring between the lace and its passer, so that the simple pull on the free ends of the lace is not enough not to get an effective tightening on the whole length lacing and that you have to pull on each strand of lace between two passers-by to obtain effective and uniform tightening throughout the entire lacing, including the toe.

This problem is particularly crucial for shoes made of relatively rigid material, example the thick leather mountain shoes or the skating shoes in line, presenting a hull relatively rigid plastic, for which a Effective clamping is searched to the bottom of the foot.

Indeed, this problem of friction is still increased by the length of the necessary lacing area to go to the end.

In a marketed mountain shoe under the trade name ASOLO, it has been planned in order to remedy the disadvantages mentioned above to build passers-by in the form of metal pulleys pivotally mounted relative to the rod. A this construction is already known by the FR 1,349,832 relating to a ski boot. In addition FR 1 349 832 describes an outer frame metallic having a closed and fit structure to be attached individually to the stem of the shoe. The passerby has a pulley synthetic defining a path of passage of the lace inside the passerby.

Such passers-by bring an undeniable plus since the pulleys solve the problem of friction.

However. they are complicated in structure, fragile, fussy and expensive because of articula- and very sensitive to frost and oxidation. Otherwise, the pulleys do not relate to the rod of the parts protruding that may interfere with the user during climbing in the mountains and can also be easily damaged, twisted during such a practice (jamming in the faults, etc ...).

The purpose of the present invention is to remedy the above drawbacks and to provide a passerby an improved lace which, in particular, improves the sliding of the lace, while being solid, light and cheap.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a passer as defined in claim 1. Preferred embodiments are defined in dependent claims 2 to 6.

Indeed, the two-part construction allows to significantly reduce the structure and reduce the manufacturing costs by separating the resistance functions Mechanical / sliding. In addition, fixed construction of the insert allows to increase the resistance of the whole against efforts, blows and depending on the case of the gel.

Advantageously, the defined path by the insert of the lace extends in the plane of the lacing. This arrangement also makes it possible to optimize the sliding since the lace remains thus always in the same lacing plan, and therefore does not have to pass alternatively on both sides of it, as in the traditional constructions.

According to another preferred embodiment, the way of passage of the lace has a semicircular shape. This way of passage thus acts as fixed pulley particularly favorable to a good sliding.

  • In any case, the invention will be better understood and other characteristics thereof will be highlighted with the aid of the description which follows with reference to the attached schematic drawing illustrating a preferred embodiment and in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a shoe using loops according to the invention,
  • FIG. 2 is a view from above of the lacing of FIG. 1,
  • FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of a passer according to the invention;
  • FIG. 4 is a view in longitudinal section of the loop of FIG.
  • FIG. 5 is a horizontal sectional view of FIG. 4,
  • FIG. 6 is a side view of a prior art bushing showing the lace path with such a ring,
  • Figure 7 is a view similar to Figure 6 showing the path of a lace in a loop according to the invention.
Figure 1 shows a mountain shoe 1 whose stem 2, which is in fact closed, is provided an "opening" 3, in this case a bellows, extending to the end 4 of the shoe, this opening 3 being lined on either side of a series of hooks 5, rings 6 and loops 10 according to the invention.

As shown in Figures 3,4 and 5, each passing 10 is made of an envelope or frame 11 and an insert 12.

The outer armature 11 is in the example represented consisting of a simple piece of sheet metal brass or steel, cut and folded so as to delimit a housing 11a of rectangular cross-section, and a bracket 11b provided with a hole 11c for its attachment for example by rivet, on the rod of the shoe. This frame has a closed structure.

As shown in Figures 3 and 5, two 11th semicircular notches can also be provided in the rear wall 11 of the housing 11a for the passage of the lace 7.

The insert 12 is in the form of a half-pulley equipped with a semi-circular peripheral groove 12b.

La profondeur de la gorge 12b et des encoches 11e est par ailleurs prévue en fonction du diamètre ou largeur du lacet 7.As shown in Figure 5, the depth of the groove 12b corresponds to that of the semicircular notches 11th of the outer frame 11 so as to do not create discontinuity between the insert and its reinforcement outside for the lace when she arrived on the passing and to have minimal friction between the lace and his passerby. We can also provide a profile evolution of the throat 12b so as to remove the notches 11th, without however hindering the passage of the wire in order to simplify the tooling. The depth of the 12b throat and the 11th notches is by elsewhere planned according to the diameter or width of the lace 7.

The insert 12 is made of a material having a low coefficient of friction such as polyamide, polyurethane or delrin.

The delrin will be more particularly chosen for use at low temperatures because it is a material resistant to such temperatures.

Of course, this material will also, according to the case, chosen according to the material used for the lace so as to get a couple passing-lace with minimal coefficient of friction.

Depending on the case, the insert 12 may be coated with a coating further enhancing the characteristics of slip as known under the name teflon commercial.

As shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, the insert 12 can be fixed inside the frame 11 by crimping, cf 14, or by any other means of connection to the scope of the skilled person, riveting, screwing, ... etc.

As is apparent in particular from FIGS. 2 and 7, passers-by 10 make it possible to define a lace path 7 always located in the same plane P, corresponding at the median plane of the 11th gorge, that is to say without passing from one side to the other of this plane P.

This avoids the generation of parasitic friction additional between the body of the passerby / ring and the lace 7, passing alternately on one side and on the other side of the plane P as is realized in the art previous using rings 6, as shown in Figure 6.

Figure 2 explains the special role of rings 6, known per se, used at the front end of the lacing part constituted by the loops 10 according to the invention.

These rings 6 are actually used to divert or send back in the substantially "horizontal" plane P of lacing defined by passers-by 10 tensile force, shown by the arrows F in FIGS. 1 and 2, and which is exercised on yaw 7 in a predominantly direction vertical.

La construction selon l'invention des passants permet d'obtenir un serrage efficace jusque dans la zone du bout 4 de la chaussure, quelle que soit la rigidité de matériau employé pour la tige, du fait du coulissement amélioré du lacet sur les passants obtenus par la construction de ceux-ci.Construction according to the invention of passers-by makes it possible to obtain effective tightening even in the area the tip 4 of the shoe, whatever the rigidity of material used for the stem, because of the sliding improved loops on passersby obtained by the construction of these.

Of course, the present invention is not limited to not just the example of realization shown here as non-limiting, but encompasses all embodiments.

This is how the "opening" bellows 3 could be constituted by a traditional opening.

Similarly, the rod could be made of material plastic, fabric ..., or the shoe could be a shoe ice skate or roller skate without one so far from the scope of the present invention.
