  5. Can according to one of claims 2 to 4, characterized in that the lateral surface (12) of the base is delimited downwards by a shoulder (11) having a generally horizontal appearance.
  6. Can according to claim 5, characterized in that the said shoulder (11) is continuous over all the periphery of the lateral wall (10) of the base.
  7. Can according to claim 5, characterized in that the said shoulder (11) is discontinuous, and preferably consists of horizontal upper sections of vertical ribs (6) stiffening the base (F).
  8. Can according to any of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the diameter of the fold (23) is slightly greater than the diameter of the inner periphery of the said groove (14), so that the said fold (23) is clipped elastically in the said groove (14) without then being able to escape from it.
  9. Can according to any of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that, beyond the said groove (14), the periphery of the said base (F) comprises successive folds creating a rim (2) for stiffening the can and by which the can may be grasped.
  10. Can according to claim 9, characterized in that the said successive folds comprise an upper hollow flange (16) situated on the periphery of the said groove (14), and of which the connecting surface (15) to the latter is rounded.
  11. Can according to either of claims 9 or 10, characterized in that, over a fraction of its length, the last of the said successive folds (1) comprises outwards a substantially horizontal slot (3) comprising horizontally over all its width an incision (4) creating two lugs for starting a tear in the rim (2) of the base, designed to enable the can to be opened.
  12. Can according to claim 11, characterized in that the said incision (4) extends via the successive folds of the base, i.e. the upper flange (16) and the groove (14), to the horizontal annular surface (13) offsetting the upper rim (2) of the base (F).
  13. Can according to claim 12, characterized in that the upper flange (16) comprises a gap (5) localised where the incision (4) passes.
  14. Can according to claims 1 to 13, characterized in that the said outer fold (23) of the lid forms a groove at the periphery of the said horizontal annular surface (22) of which the opening is directed upwards into the groove (14) of the base (F), so as to self-lock there elastically after having cooperated, at the moment the lid (C) is inserted, with the rounded surface (15) connecting the upper flange (16) to the groove of the base (14).
