Description

The invention relates to a coaxial plug-in connection consisting of a socket part and a pin part with releasable locking using resilient or resilient locking elements on the one connecting part and complementary locking means on the other connecting part, wherein the locking elements from or from the locking means by a preferably Force directed orthogonally to the axis of the plug connection can be released, which cannot be generated by pulling the two lines, and wherein a spring element independent of the locking element on one of the two connecting parts exerts an axial resistance during the plugging process and repels the other connecting part as long as the locking is not is effectively engaged.

Such connectors are used for the secure connection of coaxial cables in high frequency technology, it must be ensured that the connection is always properly plugged together.

From DE-GM 92 04 991 a coaxial connector is known, in which a compression spring is provided which pushes the two coaxial connectors apart when not properly assembled, so that an incorrect connection of the two coaxial connectors can be recognized immediately. The known connector is also provided with a lock that holds the coaxial connector together after assembly. The compression spring of this connector is arranged over the outer shielding sleeve of the plug-in coaxial connector and takes up a relatively large amount of space.

The invention has for its object to provide a coaxial connector of the type mentioned in that it can be miniaturized while maintaining the impedance of the known connectors.

This object is achieved in that the outer sleeve of the pin part has a front, thin-walled sleeve which can be inserted into the socket part, that an unlocking sleeve which is longitudinally displaceable on the sleeves is provided in that resilient latching hooks bent out of the thin-walled sleeve through openings in the unlocking sleeve to the outside have, the locking hooks have a front bevel and a rear locking end and the locking sleeve is pushed forward by the bevel that the socket part has an outer sleeve into which a helical compression spring is inserted, that a pressure sleeve provided with shoulders is inserted into the outer sleeve, the front end of which is immersed in the compression spring and the rear end of which is slidably held in the outer sleeve, and in that an end sleeve is inserted into the outer sleeve, the inner edge of the end sleeve on the one hand providing a stop for the pressure sleeve and others on the one hand forms a locking shoulder for the locking hooks.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in claims 2 to 4.

The advantages achieved by the invention are, in particular, that the thin-walled sleeve at the front end of the pin part, which is inserted into the outer sleeve of the socket part when the plug connection is assembled, and with latching hooks and spring tongues which are bent out on the thin-walled sleeve and which, on the one hand, the latching and on the other hand, the electrical contact of the sleeve with the outer sleeve of the socket part are used, the outer dimensions of the complete connector are kept extremely small.

The socket part 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 for a coaxial sealed connection essentially consists of a round outer sleeve 2, in which a socket 4 held in an insulating part 3 is arranged centrally. The socket is provided with a connection end 5, which is formed here, for example, as a connection to a printed circuit board. Furthermore, the outer sleeve 2 is pressed into a mounting flange 6 here. However, it can also be provided that the socket part is designed to connect a coaxial cable.
A helical compression spring 7 is arranged within the outer sleeve and rests on an inner shoulder 8 of the outer sleeve. A pressure sleeve 9 is also inserted into the outer sleeve.
The pressure sleeve has a front, stepped end 10 which is pushed into the helical compression spring until the compression spring rests on the shoulder 11 formed thereby. The inside diameter of the pressure sleeve is dimensioned such that it slides centrally on the insulating part 3, and the outer diameter of the non-offset part is dimensioned so that smooth sliding in the outer sleeve 2 is possible. In this case, the inside diameter of the pressure sleeve is enlarged in the non-offset area in order to allow the front sleeve of the mating connector (the pin part) described below to be immersed.
Finally, the socket part also has a front end sleeve 12, which is pressed into the outer sleeve 2. The front edge 13 of this end sleeve then prevents the pressure sleeve from sliding out of the socket part.
For the sake of completeness, it should also be mentioned that the outer sleeve 2 and the end sleeve 12 are made of metallic, electrically conductive material.
The pin part 14 for the coaxial plug connection shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 essentially consists of a round outer sleeve 15 in which a contact pin 17 held in an insulating part 16 is arranged centrally. A thin-walled, front sleeve 18 is inserted into the outer sleeve, which projects beyond the contact pin to the front. On opposite sides of the sleeve, two resilient locking hooks 19 are cut out of the sleeve material and bent out. The latching hooks have a slope 20 and a rear end 21, which extends at right angles to the axis of the pin part.
Furthermore, two spring-elastic contact tongues 22 are cut out of the sleeve material and bent out on likewise opposite sides of the sleeve. The latching hooks 19 and the contact tongues are then each offset by 90 °. The contact tongues are shaped in such a way that, when the plug connection (FIG. 5) is assembled, they press resiliently against the inner surface of the end sleeve and establish a perfect electrical contact between the sleeve 18 of the pin part and the sleeve 12, 2 of the socket part.
An axially displaceable unlocking sleeve 23 is arranged above the outer sleeve 15 and the front sleeve 18. This unlocking sleeve is provided with slot-shaped openings 24, 25 in the region of the latching hooks and the contact tongues through which they protrude. The presses Slant 20 of the locking hooks on the edge of the respective passage opening in such a way that the sleeve 18 is pressed forward into the "locking position", while when the front "end position" is reached a shoulder 26 of the contact tongues at the edge of the openings 25, through which the contact tongues follow protrude from the outside, comes to rest and prevents further movement of the unlocking sleeve.
The contact pin 17 is provided at its connection end 27 with a crimp connection to which the center conductor of a coaxial cable 28 is connected. The coaxial cable is pushed into the outer sleeve 15 of the pin part, and the shield 29 of the cable is electrically conductively connected to the outer sleeve.
5 and 6, an assembled connector is shown. When the pin part 14 is inserted into the socket part 1, the front, thin-walled sleeve 18 is pushed into the socket part and then presses on the pressure sleeve 9, the compression spring being compressed.
At the same time, the contact pin 17 enters the socket 4 and makes electrical contact with it.
When inserted, the bevels 20 of the locking hooks 19 first reach the outer edge of the end sleeve 12 and are then first bent inwards. As soon as the pin part is pushed far enough into the socket part, ie when the locking hooks are pushed through the end sleeve, the locking hooks 19 spring outwards and their ends 21 come behind the front (inner) edge 13 of the end sleeve. As a result, the pin part and the socket part are then locked together. When the plug connection is joined, the contact tongues 22 press against the inside of the end sleeve 12 and improve the electrical contacting of the outer sleeves 2, 15 of the plug connection.
The compression spring ensures that the two connector parts are always pushed apart again as long as the latching is not properly engaged.
To release the plug connection, the unlocking sleeve 23, which is preferably made of plastic material, is provided. This unlocking sleeve is arranged on the pin part 14 and is used to cancel the Lock moved opposite to the direction of insertion on the pin part.
